You need natural cotton because that absorbes the moisture ofthe glue and becomes a hard structure. With polyester it wouldnt because there would be air inbetween 😊
I lovedddd this video! I would to see you do more of this glueing/ cotton craft! I could def see this as a fun series around Christmas with you making some cute ornaments!
First time seeing your channel because I'm on a spun cotton figure binge lol. I used unravelled cotton balls to make my ornaments and it worked out really well, and probably a whole lot cheaper than buying cotton batting. So thats an idea for you to try out if you wanted. Rosanna Makes is a really good channel to learn a few tips from, she has a lovely vintage childrens book illustration vibe to her creations (If that makes any sense?)
I've seen cotton and liquid latex used before to make prosthetic makeup but I've never thought to use this method for sculpting figurines. I'm very inspired to make figures of my pets!
That is absolutely the cutest thing ever!! I would love to see you make more please!! I'm a new follower from Rachel's channel and am loving your content thus far. Keep up the great work you awesome artist! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
So cute!!! At the beginning of the video, I thought your hair looked cute, so you can tell your mom she did a good job :). My fiancé came in at the end and asked if you had made it from the fluff from your dogs. I think that would be neat to try. Also, when you said you didn't crush it when you dropped it, he said, "Naw girl, you DID crush that!", lol. So, it's fiancé approved! Thanks for making cozy, beautiful, little guys to share with us!
You can fix gluey brushes by cleaning them carefully in isopropyl alcohol ^^ just make sure it doesn’t go up the bristle hair and dissolve the glue holding the brush together :3 it also breaks down dried acrylic so you can save dried acrylic paint brushes that are stiff.
Very cute! This is the first time I had ever heard of using cotton to make sculptures! You could also leave the fur soft and just glue the back of it to the stuff that's fully saturated. That way you would not see the lumps and it would be even more realistic. If you need it to be certain colors you could dye it first. I might give this a try.
Omg I wanna make this now. I wonder if I can just get cotton balls from dollar tree and then some glue to try and make these myself 💜🥺 My mom would love little minis of our dogs
The end result was so cute! Your poms are also super cute! Also, did you do your own nails? I really like the kitty illustration. Also, really admire your vintage art style. Take care!
This is a few months too late. But I find priming with "phat paint" helps fill in all those holes to make for a smoother base to paint. Just mix your paint with a spoon full of joint compound to thicken it up, like tomato soup out of the can consistency.
You did a really good job 👏 I have never seen so much glue used on these before, I have seen the glue used just to tie in the wisps of cotton so the end product still has a cotton feel.
OMG! First, m grandmother did this craft! I thought it was so cool as a kid. I had forgotten about it. second, all videos of the puppies is good videos. third, when I used to work at Joann, the best days were when people brought puppies.
this is really cute, and a great simple craft... FUN I actually want to make a 1/3 scale horse for my friend's dolls... this (and either Fimo or DAS clays) are the possibilities. I love lorge dawgs but I've never met a bad Pomeranian... fluffernutters who have not fogotten they were once sled dogs!
I LOVE LITTLE GUYSSSS
YAAAAAA

The Russian artist who do spun cotton use cornstarch and water…which is clean and smooth .min made some flower pins and works out great

If you started with a wooden plaque I think you could make 3d pet portraits with this method!
So gorgeous!
Another difference between this craft and clay is that it's not as messy (I'm assuming)
It’s a little sticky but yeah prob not as messy!
This is so adorable! How are you already so good at this craft trying it for the first time? Lol new craft hyperfocus unlocked 😅
Omg I wanna make this now. I wonder if I can just get cotton balls from dollar tree and then some glue to try and make these myself 💜🥺 My mom would love little minis of our dogs

What an interesting technique. Loved it 😍
Would love to see more dogs/little guys.
Yesssss
What a cool craft! He came out so nice
Could you layer the cotton and glue inside a silicone mold and let it dry in there? I assume, it would then come out with a smooth textured surface.
I love their lil shiny eyes and how fluffy they came out!
It's so cuute & fluffy....
Your little opera,is full of your love for the puppies😊
