mu is a prefix for "un" or "non", its a negation. Mugen is "non limit" thats why is used as infinity. Muri is unreasonable or imposible thats why he says it at the beggining of the flashback. like he cant do anything... then its resignified with mugen as limitless

I agree with Carson, since Muichiro acts like his brother now (during amnesia), they could have not given names to whom the brothers were, and the viewer would have assumed his brother was Muichiro from the way he acts. Then, we'd have a surprise in the death scene where his brother (dying) calls him "Muichiro" for the first time.

This was my favorite episode of the season thus far. Seeing Muichiro’s tragic backstory made me cry and seeing him using Mist Breathing with that amazing Ufotable animation made me hyped.
The production team for this episode was the same as the production team on season 2 episode 10 & 11 (probably the greatest episodes of DS) so when I saw they were doing this episode I was so ready for Ufotable to pop off
Fun fact: both Tanjiro and Muichiro's family both live isolated in the mountains for years because their blood lines are both being hunted by Muzan and upper moon 1. Both families have a connection to sun breathing.
Is this even confirmed for tanjiro’s family? Tanjiro’s family isn’t related to the sun breathers, Idont see why muzan & kokushibo would target them or even know that they know sun breathing since they’re not descendants, and they didn’t watch yorichi teach them sunbreathing

Yorichi didn't have anyone in his life cuz all of them are killed. Sumiyoshi is his only friend that kept the sun breathing technique alive
I remember muzan at the end of season 1 mentioned the train demon to kill the boy with hanafuda earrings, which makes sense since the earrings has only been worn by yorichi
Haganezuka also mentioned that tanjiro is a child of good fortune/brightness. His hair colour and red eyes means that he was born in a family that works with fire, that's why he has a feeling tanjiro's sword would be red in the first place
@@mammonsimp6973 yeah. Muzan had Kokushibo hunt down Sun Breathing users and anyone related to Yoriichi. Also I have a theory why Tanjiro's sword is black. it's because black absorbs more sunlight and heat.

No, let me clear it up, because you misunderstood. In season 3 episode 2, it's revealed that Muichiro is a descendant of the family that made the first breathing. He is related to Yoriichi, the wandering swordsman, the sun breather. When we said no relation, we meant Tanjiro. Tanjiro is not related to Yoriichi, and therefore, Tanjiro is not related to Muichiro.

this past was more brutal in the manga. The reason muichiro lost his memory is because they stay that way for a long time in blood. they suffer terribly with infection, rot and insects until someone contaminates their bodies. When I read this, it really impressed and scared me at the same time.

Nah, last arc (entertainment district) was 28 chapters long, and they adapted it in 11 episodes. This arc is 30 chapters, and the final episode is one hour long. It's perfect. Also, there is a lot of fighting from here on, so the pacing will be faster.
End episode will be 1 hour long + mitsuri past not that long

IN THAT EPISODE HE CALLS THE GUY WHO LOOKS IDENTICAL TO TANJIRO -- Sumayoshi .
It’s revealed the very next episode that Yoriichi had no children, therefore Yoriichi is neither of their direct ancestor.
Sumayoshi is Tanjiros ancestor and it’s revealed in the first episode of this season whenever Yoriichi says his name and it’s revealed that he doesn’t have kids.

Im the only one not liking the episodes in this season? They look like fillers to me, too much dialogue too much backstory, not trying to be a hater but i preffer season 2 than this season so far
the next 4 epiosdes are nothing but fighting and mui vs gyokko is one of the best fights in the series

I think it's just you, this backstory of Muichiro is one of the best since it (without spoiling) connects with tanjiro's. Muichiro is my favourite hashira and this backstory is just the beginning on why he is such an important and cool character. He is also one of the strongest hashira ( I think he became a hashira in 3 months after becoming a demon slayer) he's just so epic.
Re-reading your comment and I think I now why you don't particularly like this season- its because of the amount of characters this season has and because of that, there would be alot of backstories. Listing all of them you have Kotetsu, Genya, Hantengu, Mitsuri, Muichiro, Tanjiro, etc. That is a big cast of characters and they all need backstories....
It doesn't seem like filler to me this is important to the story so you understand the character i know the fighting is cool to look at but the dialogue is also important
Thats basically demon slayer as a show though. if you dont like it just dont watch. Main villian has big fight then dies with backstory. Good guy Fight Villian and has backstory mid fight so we can get attached to the character. backstory is a big part of demon slayer asides the fighting
There's actually a game that has the same premise as one twin is dead and the other twin took up the other twins name and personality. Funnily enough, the twin's name also means Mist in English.
