Thank you 😊 i was searching for one for ages when i decided it was the car i wanted but couldn’t find one with all the information i wanted, so thought i’d make my own once i got the car!
Hey, I’ve been looking at a 2009 Peugeot 107 and I just wondered if you find it rolls back when you take your foot of the brake and acceleration. I know true autos are meant to stay in place but the one I tested rolled back, just wondered if it’s something Peugeot’s are known doing or whether the gearbox is faulty. Thanks 😊
Do As Dreamers Do Hello. Obviously I can only speak for mine but mine holds itself on 95% of occasions, there’s been the odd time where it’s rolled back slightly but nothing drastic. Hope that helps 😊
I've driven my lil sista's 107 semi auto and yes it does roll back a little. That's because is doesn't have anti-rollback assist like my Audi Q7. I guess that's what the handbrake is for. If I drive and it's rolling back I use the handbrake.
I hope you see this, being a year after you posted this 😭 but I'm thinking of getting one of these cars as my first. My anxiety is so high when it comes to driving that I have decided to get an automatic to boost my confidence and to try and get out there and drive independently. Would you say that the manual aspect is confusing/hard to get used to as there is no clutch? Also you said the E is 'easy' are you able to leave it as that to keep it as just an automatic? Xx
Hey Meg, i see all my comments 😊 I don’t ever drive it in manual to be honest but if i wanted to it’s really easy to use because you can just use the paddles on the steering wheel to go up/down a gear! I always leave mine on E, the only time it’s not is when it’s in reverse or neutral 😊 So yes, you can keep it as an automatic as that’s its main function 😊 xx
@@HLRadford thanks so much for the quick reply! Okay that's nice to know you have the option of semi automatic and manual. I'm about to go view 2 now! 😊xx
@@megx5998 I'm in the same situation as you are. I get so much anxiety driving that after 3 years of getting my license I'm only know getting a car, my only requisites were that it must be small and automatic. It'll be my first car, let's see if I get my confidence up.
Helena Ravenpuff I know it's quite a while since you commented, but how are you getting on now? I'm in the same situation and thinking of getting an auto to help out with the anxiety 😒
Just curious if the 'E' means it's in fully automatic transmission? - I'm thinking about getting one of these cars, but I don't really want to have to use the 'knocking up/down a gear' feature. As you may be able to tell, I am completely stupid when it comes to cars! I know It's semi-automatic, which means you get the choice between manual & auto. Right? haha
ShauniePod xo If you have it in E, that’s the fully-automatic feature so yes, you can keep it in E and never have to change gears 😊 the only time you’ll need to change it is when you’re in neutral or reverse x
@@shauniepodxo234 did you have any issues with the transmission?... Because they are not really known for their reliability... I am also thinking of buying one of those and that's why i am asking you ... I am now currently driving a manual but i have also driven automatic cars . Does this one jerk when in traffic ?
M A Thank you! & It’s a Kaiser Baas, i can’t remember the exact model but it’s great.. you can get it to record 10 seconds of footage by waving your hand underneath. It’s caught a few near misses!
English is FUN Thank you 🙈 It’s abit of a mash, I was raised in Germany so had a very posh accent until I was about 8 and then moved to Stoke-on-Trent which is in the Midlands, so that’s where that twang is from!
@@HLRadford I was also raised in Germany till the age of 12. Everyone is always confused about my accent as well. I live in East Yorkshire. People are confused when I talk because of the accent.
This is really random but I’ve just bought a manual Peugeot 107 and I can not figure the lights out for the life of me🤣 if I turn the thing twice it seems really bright and everybody flashes at me🤦🏽♀️
Leanne Connor what colour is the light on your dashboard when you have your lights on full beam? Green or blue? If it’s on blue then you’re blinding everyone with high beam 😂🙈 you might need to knock the lever backwards away from you so it goes back to green.
Hannah's Journey yeah it’s blue😂 so when I turn it twice I need to push it back and hopefully it will be green?😂 I’ll give it another go tonight, I’m that silly person who goes out driving in the dark without figuring out how to use the lights🤣🤦🏽♀️ Thankyou
I tried this car out today after giving it a look in a car dealership and I thought the acceleration was very unresponsive and sluggish. Do you think it's sluggish?
Master Knife Really? Was it an auto? There’s a running joke in my family that my car is a go cart because it just flies off when you accelerate, mine responds quite well. Although sometimes it needs a few seconds to realise to change gear when going uphill and i have to do it for it which is a pain!
@@HLRadford Yeah it was an automatic. After learning to drive in a Toyata Yaris for two years this automatic Peugeot 107 that I took for a test drive today just felt sluggish and unresponsive every time I slowed down and sped up
@@masterknife8423 A 3 cylinder 1.0 litre 68hp will never be quick enough outside the city. It will have no low end Torque so won't start picking up speed unless you rev the nuts off the engine. The automatic transmission also doesn't help the matter since they are not only slower to change gear but also are heavier and have more drive train losses.
Not at all from my experience. I have driven it the length of the country and it does just fine in all conditions, manages to pick up speed quickly enough etc. without a problem.
@@HLRadford I bet with 4 people in the car and the boot filled with luggage and going up a hill it would really struggle. I've driven cars like that where you have to drop 2 gears just to get up the hill and don't even get me started on hill starts. I much prefer the easier and refined nature of a 4 cylinder engine with low down torque.
netcalibur Haha, unfortunately that seems to be result of using a dashboard shine on everything plastic, dust sticks to it 😭 there could be worse things in there than a bit of dust though 😙

It’s surprisingly spacious! You’d definitely fit a car seat in the back but definitely would not fit a pushchair in the boot, it’s very small
