    JK will continue to play this way as long as Kerr keeps him at the SF spot. Kerr, for some unexplained idiotic reason, keeps playing him at the PF slot. Take the comeback by the Rockets. TJD, in the 3rd QTR played 4 minutes. He was subbed out with a 28 point lead wth about 8 minutes left in the QTR. He placed Dray at the 5 and moved Kuminga from the 3 to the 4, then the Houston onslaught began. It's not Kumingas fault. He just doesn't have the skillset to play at PF. Kerr for some reason does not recognize this. It wasn't until overtime that Kerr put Kuminga back in the SF slot, at which time he took over in OT and won the game. Kerr needs to better control his rotations. His decisions are costing them games, going back to last season, and is also destroying Kumingas prospects for the future by putting him in slots to which he is not suited. I sincerely hope that J-Stack and Stotts can advise Kerr better than he has been since Mike Brown left the team.

    • @KingOnema
      @KingOnema День назад +3

      This by far the best comment I've seen about Kerr rotation affecting players especially Kuminga. It's not hard to look at the statsheet and see where the problem is coming from. I hope Kuminga get traded to a team that will give him the opportunity to play to his strength. I love Dub but this is someone's career that is probably going to be messed by bad coaching

    • @kaizhu5260
      @kaizhu5260 День назад +5

      Kuminga needs to shoot better. It has been more than three years and he cannot first improve his FTs, which is a hallmark indicator of a quality shooter. It is extremely rare that someone can shoot 3s well but FTs poorly, and thus the contrapositive is true - a so-so or poor FT shooter can rarely shoot 3s well. I am still patient, but losing a little confidence that JK can ever improve his shooting. Without shooting, he cannot play 3 on a contender team.

    • @sofiacristinak.-cd1nk
      @sofiacristinak.-cd1nk День назад +3

      @infinity1323 Great comment. I still think that Kerr is just prodding JK to be more than just a small forward because it is likely other teams will place JK at PF or even Center because of his size & athleticism. JK needs to develop other aspects of his game, versatility plus consistency in playing great basketball if he wants the kind of money his agent is demanding. Otherwise he might go to another team but will end up like most other Warriors who have been traded: out of the league early or becoming unknown & nondescript. GSW for me is a very good employer when it comes to player development. And the GSW players do well when they want to develop & demonstrate consistency in playing great basketball...

    • @Johannes-gb5mx

      This is by far THE best comment EVER !!! You should be coaching a team or something

    • @infinity1323
      @infinity1323 20 часов назад

      @@sofiacristinak.-cd1nk I agree with you in regards to developing Kumingas total game, but not to the detriment of the here and now. Kerr should be helping Kuminga develop his game during practice and not at the expense of winning games. Also, Kuminga is good enough at the SF spot to be a star in this league. The Warriors do not need him to play the PF slot because they have players better suited to that role, especially defensively. Look, when Kuminga plays the PF slot, Kerr want him to;
      1. Guard the point of attack on the perimeter
      2. Guard the opposing PF on the post (if needed)
      3. Rebound the ball (both offence and defence)
      4. Run the ball off those defensive rebounds like a bullet
      5. Run like the wind on offence when he doesn't get the rebound.
      No person can do all those things nor should they have to. When Kuminga plays the SF slot, the rebounding and the post defence parts of his game can be a little relaxed because he has 2 other guys behind him (the PF and the C) to cover his back. He is much more effective, and more importantly, EFFICIENT, playing the SF slot. We saw that as clear as a blue sky during the Rockets game. In overtime, he kicked ass while playing the SF slot.
      That's just my humble opinion.

    Great video. DG is fantastic as long as he’s playing & not getting Ts or ejections. He’s playing great & seems to be in a good mental health place.
    JK has great potential & is 22, but he still has issues playing in the offense. He’s shines at 1:1 with an athletically inferior player. However, when the paint is crowded, he sees double teams, sees a tough def then he looks like a deer in headlights. The overtime win against the rockets was a prime set up for JKs skills & he did great & answered the call. He definitely contributes & is a good player with potential but not a great player max player yet. It would be foolish to trade him unless you receive a comparable player that contribute more immediately. However, it would be foolish to overpay him based on stats alone. He’s definitely improving. He needs to continue & improve his basketball IQ, handle pressure, double teams, & have creative solutions when teams focus on him or take away his bread & butter.
    I’ll make this comparison - over the course of 6 games DG still contributes more to winning than JK. DG is paid 25 mil per year; therefore should JK be paid more than 25 mil per year before he’s more valuable than DG toward winning games?
    I’m not a JK hater I just don’t think he’s Ant Man or Jalyn Brown, etc… he’s not a max player or a even DG yet, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be eventually - the verdict is still out.
    One great thing JK did single handedly - he put the Warriors in the bonus with 6-7 mins left in the in multiple quarters. Think if Stef was playing & the Warriors are in the bonus for 1/2 quarter multiple times. That is big! If you can make the free throws. The 18 missed free throws were a big reason the game went to OT. My goodness!! But that wasn’t JKs fault, and GSW hasn’t been getting in the bonus often over the past 2 years or so. If JK can keep doing this that will be a key component toward winning (assuming the team makes the FT).

    Kuminga isn’t max contract player yet. His decision making needs improvement. When he drives to the basket he needs to be able to stop fake step here and then finish emphatically and smoothly. Right now he’s just charging to the rim w pure force and athleticism most times looking for a foul call. when he gets downhill he’s not changing his shot. He’s too good athletically to not have better finish around the rim. He gets it done but he’s not polished yet. He has promise and if he reaches it we’d be so much more dangerous. Two, three snipers and a bullet train w a supporting cast of top defenders and bucket getters. He should be making more highlights

    This is why the Warriors gave Draymond his bag and gave Klay his pink slip. D-E-F-E-N-C-E. This year's addition of the Warriors is bada$$ and I'm guessing it's because of Jerry Stackhouse being in the building. I REALLY like this year's team. They are fun to watch with that smothering defense they're playing. Can't (or won't) play defense? No problem. The Dubs will find someone who will and they got a nice jersey waiting for you down in Dallas. Just sayin'

    I am really curious, at heights like 6'7" and 6'9", is a 2-inch height difference REALLy that important? I meant, Kuminga is only 2 inches shorter than Bron, and I would think Bron's game is the easiest for Kuminga to emulate. Neither is elite in shooting or ball handling, yet both are freaks of athletes. What is it that LeBron can do but Kuminga cannot do? Are 2 inches and 25 lbs that much a difference when you are already that tall and that heavy?

    • @SwishCulture
      @SwishCulture  День назад +1

      It absolutely makes a huge difference. You also have to take Wingspan into account. That isn't the only difference however as LeBron has very good court vision. JK could possibly develop a bit more in that area but getting to Bron's level isn't something he'd be able to do at this point.

    defense, defense, defense. sorely lacking in the clipper loss, but present in all the wins. that's what it will take to win this year--defense! love the hedging of screens and the blitzing. and when the guys move on offense, the wide open shots just come naturally. a great combination. i could see steph averaging 18 points and 10 assists and this being a standout team!! but if he scores more, i'm all for that, too. defense is the key. and a confidant and free kuminga.

Also, I find it disrespectful all of you people online refuse to give Steve Kerr credit but love giving him all the blame.. Golden state is actually a young team, because once you remove Draymond Green and Stephen Curry from the lineup, nobody on the roster is old. Charles with everything you said about Draymond Green, I think you drew up your X's and O's all wrong on the defense he is playing. You highlighted way to much on Draymond without giving the REAL reason why he's looking so good this season. This version of Draymond is the exact same version we were getting when they had Andrew Bogut, Javelle MaGee and David West, he wasn't playing center. Instead, you should have educated your audience and created highlight reels on Trayce Davis, because he's the real reason Draymond is looking like the old Draymond. And the thing that goes missing in all of this, is the fact that Trayce is extremely young, he's quiet, he plays like a seasoned veteran, and he makes very few mistakes out on the floor, not to mention he plays within himself and doesn't try to do to much. His long arms on defense is what anchors the entire Warriors lineup. You see, although he's not playing 35 minutes per game, neither did Bogut and you see the impact he had on the entire team. When Bogut went out of the lineup against Cleveland in the championship, that snatched the championship right out of there hands, NOT Draymond's suspension. Because you have to remember, Bogut got hurt in game 6. So lets give credit where it's due, all the accolades belong to Trayce Davis and not Draymond, sorry Charles.
