Thanks for being a steadfast source of joy in my otherwise hectic life guys 🫡
I think how the Equalists got all that gear into the stadium is pretty easy if you take into account how many non-benders probably work there and have to deal with shitty players like the Wolf-Bats, etc... cause there are so many entrances in a facility like that... if you have sympathizers who are employees... you can get quite alot in through the equipment garage or the right emergency exit... and if you know to go in through ticket booth 4... you have alot of leeway because Lins's group can't be everywhere at once... plus those banners may have been in janitor closets for a week or so before the attack threat was made
I know you guys are at Season 4 already (probably finished the show too), but this bears repeating. Spoilers below (especially for Season 4) for anyone who wants to wait: Despite my liking for Korra, I’m more than willing to point out her and the show’s shortcomings (but in a non-exaggerated way compared to most people cause it would come off as nonsensical otherwise), and her relationship issues easily pop into mind. This show flip-flops between relationships constantly. So many love triangles, and sometimes even squares 😂 And by the end, Mako gets the shorter end of the stick. Korra, Asami, Mako, and arguably even Bolin are problematic to many people in terms of how they often interact with each in non-action scenes, and while the positive attributes of their dynamic are what make me like them individually, I don’t really blame the viewers for disliking them collectively. I’m mildly content with how they ended it, key word being “mildly” since as much as I like Korrasami and what they helped establish for animated couples going forward, I feel we needed more to rectify any situations between the four. Maybe people would like them more that, and I still like them despite their flaws, but my biases towards me defending the show could potentially get in the way.

yours may be my FAVORITE reaction to the love triangle reveal between Bolin, Korra, and Mako. i had to rewatch it again and again, such great commentary as always!!!
The thing is, it was a win-win situation for Amon. Yes, holding the tournament allowed him to do this, but if they cancelled it, he'd just make an announcement play up that the bending government is afraid of the Equalists, and he'd win the PR battle that way.
I can’t watch the Korra/Mako kiss + Bolin’s reaction without thinking about Blind Wave’s “Love Hurts” bit of it. It fit perfectly with the scene and had me howling.
I honestly love TLOK series on its own right, but a main criticism most people have is how there’s less of an overarching plot between seasons, which is fair. But keep in mind that Korra was originally given only one season, then a second, then both the third and fourth. The writers didn’t know if they would have another season so they needed to wrap everything up within a season. That being said, I think the show did really great despite that and I’m happy y’all are enjoying it so much :)
I really love how they are going insane at the pro-bender matches. It makes me want a series with that being the center of the plot. Also... It makes me feel odd when they say in the add that "everything is going to be fine billy..." ... they really make me feel safe, yes, but also something else
Look, when it comes to the hate that LoK gets, I can see both sides. LoK definitely doesn't deserve the amount of hate it gets. Like, I genuinely enjoyed season 1 of LoK. I would even say that it is en par with ATLA season 1. But im ngl, i couldnt even get past the first episode of season 2 of LoK. And I think a big factor is that ATLA was just so amazing. In my opinion, ATLA was a PERFECT show. It is so rare to find a show where pretty much EVERY main character is loved (even the villains), the story starts out amazing and somehow gets EVEN better each season, and ends in such a satisfying way. ATLA just has this magic to it, and its hard to try to recreate that magic again. So even tho LoK and ATLA differ in many ways, it is really hard to not compare them in some capacity, especially with the characters, like how Naga and Pabu clearly have the same roles as Appa and Momo, and how Bolin's humor is similar to Sokka's. And I think ATLA benefitted from (1) being an original story, so people didnt know what to expect and (2) having a story with a single goal, while LoK had a different story and villain every season. It is harder to come up with completely new storylines and characters each season because you have to somehow try to connect all of the stories together and try to outdo each story after the other, while in ATLA, the audience knew from the beginning that the goal is to defeat the Fire Lord and save the world, so it was easier to improve on the story since it was going in the same direction. Imho, LoK faltered in some ways, while ATLA was amazing from start to finish. and obviously when you compare LoK to something that was absolute perfection, of course to some it is going to look bad in comparison. But on its own, i think LoK is a really good show.
The only real issue with Korra is how cringe the romantic triangle is in season 1. It’s not as bad in season 2 and season 3 finally stops making relationships such a central focus. Season 4 does it right & makes Korra’s relationship one of the best parts of the season
It always annoys me when Korra and Asami is promoted as some great progressive relationship. Nickolodeon (the producers, not show writers) were fucking cowards lol, there was practically nothing explicitly romantic allowed between the two. That shouldn't be the standard we celebrate and are happy with, they had to confirm that shit on Twitter because even the shippers felt it was ambiguous.
@@tortoiseoflegends4466i mean, the fact that the producers hindered it kinda makes it progressive that the writers pushed for it anyways. I gotta respect the effort. It's less about accepting it as the standard but rather understanding it as a stepping stone to better opportunities for future shows
I have 3 favorite characters in this series, one being Bolin, Lin and another is a character who you have not been introduced to yet, so I can’t wait til that time comes!
Most people don't seem to be attracted to Bolin and I can understand that in the 1st season however he grows to be an awesome himbo later on and I legit don't understand how can people not be attracted to him in season 3 and 4.
As much as I really don't like the technological advancement in Korra, as I've never liked those things in fantasy, I really do like Korra, it has a great story.
It is so, so, so refreshing to watch you guys with this show. I love Legend of Korra, and it's impossible for me to take the haters seriously when they try to rag on it for something that not a single person involved with the creation of this show could control. I think that with all the bullshit they had to deal with, they did a pretty damn good job. It's fun to watch. As cartoons usually are made to be.
Just a real quick thing first season might feel rush but that’s because they weren’t thinking making a second one and second season also might feel rush too same as first they weren’t thinking making a 3th and 4th seasons
I like to think that they got in by people who worked there, since the gloves were in the popcorn. Maybe there was like a code where they said XL popcorn, when it only goes up to large, and then they’d know to give them the glove popcorn. There are A LOT of people on Amons side, so that would be easy. They should have checked more thoroughly for sure, but I don’t think people carried the gloves in, I think it was employees. Especially since there were banners, they must have been set up before and hidden as they’re wrapped up.
You guys don’t understand the negativity because you haven’t gotten to those parts yet it’s mainly the second season people generally speaking don’t like you’ll probably understand when you see it
If you watch the Avatar live action by M. Night Shyamalan..... be prepared to suffer... Lol I would watch you guys react to it just to hear the pain. It could be treated as welcome to the club for all the OG fans of the show. Share our pain. Poor Bolin, but young love so be like that at times. Especially with Korra, who has grown up sheltered. All 3 are young adults, we all were stupid back then. I can't wait for the next episodes, its going to be insane!
(At 16:10) Korra: *(thinking)* Okay, THAT'S on me. I bet when the day is over, not only is he going to think "I'm of out of his league", but he'll probably accept being "friendzoned" by me and move on feeling hurt and upstaged. And if that wasn't bad enough, he's probably going to blame his brother, not knowing *I* made the first move on Mako. I REALLY missed us up for both of them.
Idk if this was intentional or not, but if you pause here 30:25, the arena is split in half with colors, Blue/Orange. Just like how it was in Book 3 finale of Airbender. The sky literally split in HALF with those two colors!
There were rumors years ago that the show with the Earthbender Avatar would have twins as the main character, not sure if both of them would be Avatars or if there's an Avatar twin and the other twin, but those were the rumors back in the day that that's what they were working on.
The negativity is because of the side characters not being as remarkable as the gang in ATLA (BUT really HOW COULD THEY) and the strange uncomfortable love triangles. Simply it is a good show in isolation but when compared to ARGUABLY THE GREATEST PIECE OF ANIMATED MEDIA it obviously pales in comparison. However, Book 3 is amazing and is up to the standard of any book of ATLA.
@@eiden5778Korra is interesting but she is also really annoying and sometimes dumb. You cannot justify it all the time with arguments such as age or inexperience. Side characters are definitely more interesting in lok though.
I cant believe u forgot Ty Lee.ĺ On a little Trivia Ty Lees style was created by a non bending Princess of the fire nation after studying with the air nomads
the first 2 seasons were greenlit one season at a time so they had to develop the show as if that was the end of the show while season 3 and 4 were given the go at the same time. Just some context if things feel a bit weird in the future.

The idea of Ozai being Amon isn't that farfetched(at least no in regards to age). Kyoshi was around 250 years old when she died, this was due to her finding the secret to longevity(which you'd think she'd pass onto each avatar after her).
One thing i always wondered was why metal benders couldnt fly? Like they could suround themselves in sheets of metal and then bend those to make themselves fly same with regular earth just a small island og earth to fly
Theirs a live action of the last airbender coming out, one where the avitar is an earth bender and theirs something coming out that's about Aang as an adult. Just to clear up some things. I'm not sure when or in what order their coming out though.
(At 9:25) I can't help but feel like Boiln is going to get hurt, Korra is going to be the cause of it, but he's going to blame his brother Mako instead for planning it.

Rewatching this series of yalls a second time and just busted my ass while sick to get the house clean with a roommate that doesn’t do Jack shit, feeling super under appreciated and tired, and got to the classic “everything is going to be fine, Billy” and honestly it helped. Thanks for being a steadfast source of joy in my otherwise hectic life guys 🫡
You're the 🐐 bruh
Spoilers below (especially for Season 4) for anyone who wants to wait:
Despite my liking for Korra, I’m more than willing to point out her and the show’s shortcomings (but in a non-exaggerated way compared to most people cause it would come off as nonsensical otherwise), and her relationship issues easily pop into mind.
@@DanGamingFan2406yeah i knew 😉 you’re around lots of fandoms but have originality, which i respect. i’ve seen him before and just waited for you to show up and for him to leave. you’re alright, man 😁👍
Not Rami Malek “sounding” like Matthew McConehey 😂 (idk how to spell)
Mako lost the moment two pretty girls decided to fight over him, got the big man cornered.
yours may be my FAVORITE reaction to the love triangle reveal between Bolin, Korra, and Mako. i had to rewatch it again and again, such great commentary as always!!!
32:35 that man was committed to commentary
Fun fact: Tahno is voiced by Oscar winning actor Rami Malek :) this was before his win for portraying Freddie Mercury tho :)
The thing is, it was a win-win situation for Amon. Yes, holding the tournament allowed him to do this, but if they cancelled it, he'd just make an announcement play up that the bending government is afraid of the Equalists, and he'd win the PR battle that way.
I remember when this episode came out and the famous Bolin in the deeeep meme😂
I love how much you guys are enjoying this show!
14:39 "Watch this, Lis; if you slow it down, you can pinpoint the EXACT moment where his heart wrips in half!"
I can’t watch the Korra/Mako kiss + Bolin’s reaction without thinking about Blind Wave’s “Love Hurts” bit of it. It fit perfectly with the scene and had me howling.
Well played Korra...
Wow Korra planning her endgame for the Finale
I honestly love TLOK series on its own right, but a main criticism most people have is how there’s less of an overarching plot between seasons, which is fair. But keep in mind that Korra was originally given only one season, then a second, then both the third and fourth. The writers didn’t know if they would have another season so they needed to wrap everything up within a season. That being said, I think the show did really great despite that and I’m happy y’all are enjoying it so much :)
I really love how they are going insane at the pro-bender matches.
It makes me want a series with that being the center of the plot.
Also... It makes me feel odd when they say in the add that "everything is going to be fine billy..."
... they really make me feel safe, yes, but also something else
Here we are... oh-- Spirit of Competition
18:46 I love that line
26:00 and he continues to be in this episode lol
The only real issue with Korra is how cringe the romantic triangle is in season 1. It’s not as bad in season 2 and season 3 finally stops making relationships such a central focus. Season 4 does it right & makes Korra’s relationship one of the best parts of the season
season 2 definitely has some issues but every season is still good overall
It always annoys me when Korra and Asami is promoted as some great progressive relationship. Nickolodeon (the producers, not show writers) were fucking cowards lol, there was practically nothing explicitly romantic allowed between the two. That shouldn't be the standard we celebrate and are happy with, they had to confirm that shit on Twitter because even the shippers felt it was ambiguous.
Idk, i actually kind of like it. I was in a similar love pentagon in college 😂 (i was the Bolin, unfortunately)
@@tortoiseoflegends4466i mean, the fact that the producers hindered it kinda makes it progressive that the writers pushed for it anyways. I gotta respect the effort. It's less about accepting it as the standard but rather understanding it as a stepping stone to better opportunities for future shows
37:08 yeah it's like she can control that wire with some kind of ability or something
I have 3 favorite characters in this series, one being Bolin, Lin and another is a character who you have not been introduced to yet, so I can’t wait til that time comes!
I haven’t watched Korra in years, so this can be my chance to rewatch it with you guys!
Most people don't seem to be attracted to Bolin and I can understand that in the 1st season however he grows to be an awesome himbo later on and I legit don't understand how can people not be attracted to him in season 3 and 4.
Well you gotta admit, the Wolfbats' cheating techniques are pretty impressive.
the animation in these two episodes (but the whole season in general) is CRISP🔥🤌🏻
That’s why we love Naga, rearrange the letters in Naga you can spell Aang. Bolin is my person favorite character in TLoK
The Wolfbats are literally just the Luca Goers from FFX.
Idk if this was intentional or not, but if you pause here 30:25, the arena is split in half with colors, Blue/Orange. Just like how it was in Book 3 finale of Airbender. The sky literally split in HALF with those two colors!
Boon: *Makes a prediction*
Apollo with the gift of prophecy: "Oh yeah its all coming together"
(At 14:35) At this point, I don't know who I'm mad at, Mako or Korra? Because there's blame on both sides on THIS one.
There were rumors years ago that the show with the Earthbender Avatar would have twins as the main character, not sure if both of them would be Avatars or if there's an Avatar twin and the other twin, but those were the rumors back in the day that that's what they were working on.
3:43 hehehehe, Kora be like:
- men! How Makkos get that hot girl! I'M THE AVATAR, I SHOULD TAKE THE HOT GIRLS :(
The negativity is because of the side characters not being as remarkable as the gang in ATLA (BUT really HOW COULD THEY) and the strange uncomfortable love triangles. Simply it is a good show in isolation but when compared to ARGUABLY THE GREATEST PIECE OF ANIMATED MEDIA it obviously pales in comparison.
However, Book 3 is amazing and is up to the standard of any book of ATLA.
I would argue the main characters team avatar are much better in ATLA but Korra is a more interesting protaganist and LOK has better side characters
@@eiden5778Korra is interesting but she is also really annoying and sometimes dumb. You cannot justify it all the time with arguments such as age or inexperience. Side characters are definitely more interesting in lok though.
I cant believe u forgot Ty Lee.ĺ
On a little Trivia Ty Lees style was created by a non bending Princess of the fire nation after studying with the air nomads
the first 2 seasons were greenlit one season at a time so they had to develop the show as if that was the end of the show while season 3 and 4 were given the go at the same time. Just some context if things feel a bit weird in the future.
I think last time i heard the movie is essentially going to cover the books. Or at least the time that the books take place in.
Something to keep in mind with the cheating is that in most sports, to my knowledge, the only person who can call out and punish cheating is the referee of the match itself.
I just realized that the pro benders going up against Korra is like a boxer squaring up with Jesus in the ring
J.K. Simmons is also the yellow m&m
10:43. RAMI MALEK
14:55 i will just share a thought:
Is kind fun imagine like, if Assami see it, but she will never react like that, but in the begin off the show it seems that she would, idk, just a thought :p
The early 1900s industrial era was the steampunk for us.
Anybody else want to see what a Poodle Pony looks like? Sounds like a nightmare.
2:55 i cannot see this scene without thinking of the “in a row?” edit
The idea of Ozai being Amon isn't that farfetched(at least no in regards to age). Kyoshi was around 250 years old when she died, this was due to her finding the secret to longevity(which you'd think she'd pass onto each avatar after her).
I know how things ended up and I'm happy with it. But come on, didn't Korra and Bolin look adorkable as a couple for five minutes?
One thing i always wondered was why metal benders couldnt fly? Like they could suround themselves in sheets of metal and then bend those to make themselves fly same with regular earth just a small island og earth to fly
Theirs a live action of the last airbender coming out, one where the avitar is an earth bender and theirs something coming out that's about Aang as an adult. Just to clear up some things. I'm not sure when or in what order their coming out though.
9:30 Narrator: He will in fact be that guy.
About Lynn and Tenzin. Ever notice the air temple compound is on an island and it is the only thing on that island
Hint it wasnt always an island. Jk
(At 9:25) I can't help but feel like Boiln is going to get hurt, Korra is going to be the cause of it, but he's going to blame his brother Mako instead for planning it.
i bought the patreon its crazy how yall are on episode like 6 of season 4 on there lol
Oh damn😮 all this time I never knew that JK Simmons voiced Tenzen lol
Well we are getting a last Airbender Movie and Legend of korra movie to show later on stories. Animated ones then a new avatar which think will be a new earth bender or a series about Kioshi
i remember a complaint for tlok was that they made it too modern. i guess it broke their immersion of asian people being fantastical beings that forever live in past 😭
"Give me you best shot"
- Bro about to 1v1 the Avater
That ref is just casually calling out all the cheating.
I'm just gonna ruin it.
If you guys are down for an hour and a half of the abridged adventures of *_Avatar ONG,_* go ahead and watch the live action avatar. I heard them refer to him as that twice and dipped. First movie I've ever had to just bail on and never return to. Cause it was gonna be all movie with that -.-
They don’t deserve their bending to be taken away just because they cheated and were rude
