The fact they only discovered this after the vote seems like a downtown con job as usual. They are all in cahoots. No shame at all. Then the mayor gets more and more annoying every time he speaks. Milwaukee citzens have been played once again while people line their pockets. They can give 2 cents about the kids.
I mean there were flyers sent out saying enough is enough. Don’t vote for the referendum. I can’t believe that people actually voted for this crap, knowing that it was going to increase rent and property taxes by an obscene amount. Meanwhile, we also have all these reports of teenagers stealing cars, holding people at gunpoint robbing everybody. I personally don’t know why anybody has put any faith in the MPS system. Not to mention the $300,000 that superintendent was making. I personally feel like they should’ve asked him to give his money back to the taxpayers for all this. Director Carr is facing 13 years in prison for not living in the district that she ran for during her election campaign, which is its own thing however, I will say that she voted against the referendum. Along with one other. And the board can sit here and say that they knew nothing about any of this, but I’m sure at some point they did. I agree with all the frustrations of everybody. The ones who are going to be hurt the most though is the kids and that’s the saddest part of this entire thing. And those flyers that went out supporting the enough is enough position from the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of commerce were correct over 30% of our students are performing at level subpar from their grade and age. Now they’ve passed for an increase in their budget when they can’t even pay it back. I’ll tell you right now. There is no way in hell I will ever vote Democrat in this city ever again. All it’s done is hurt our environment. we’ve watched cars car jacked, people held at gunpoint everywhere you turn, including at UWM where I go to school, there’s rarely a day. I don’t get a notification about some kind of violent crime occurring on my campus. And yet I listen to the mayor and the new police chief speak out on all these things and they say they’re working on it. At the same time, TMJ4 has an investigation occurring for the list of all of the officers that have committed crimes which I understand but the one they’re highlighting is a cop who went into a Walgreens and asked what Black Lives Matter was supposed to mean to him, they say it was biased and racial. in my opinion, it’s not biased. He was a police officer and Black Lives Matter called to defund the police while taking donations and never spending a dime on helping the black community even here in Milwaukee you don’t see any support from Black Lives Matter. I don’t understand why that police officer shouldn’t have been able to have a comment or opinion, although I disagree with the environment and fashion he did it in. Something tells me, though that he was pushed to a certain limit hearing how awful police officers are to our community and yes, he was intoxicated, which was wrong doing this in public. But our citizens have to start asking themselves how much stress they want to put on public servants. Now we’re facing so many crazy here in this city and nobody has any answers but recall this summer of 2020 our city was in shambles with all kinds of voices that needed to be heard and now from majority of the issues we face you hear crickets. And I’m guessing a majority of that has happened because people are kicking themselves in the ass for standing behind a fraudulent group that did nothing more than benefit off of donors money. It is absolutely despicable what Milwaukee has turned into. And this is proof of that. But this superintendent has been in his position for six years. How the DPI didn’t see this coming is beyond me. Are they sitting here in insinuating that tens of millions of dollars was unaccounted for well before this referendum was to be passed? Interestingly, enough for $200 million which we found out later the school district was lacking and still calling for a 13% decrease in funds to each school? There is no transparency whatsoever.
In a way enough is enough did that by sending you flyers stating what you were going to be paying for which is a broken education system. And doing the research recognizing that 30% of all MPS graduates have graduated at a level below their actual grade level or age, you would have understood why MMAC sent information out against this referendum. I’m sure part of you looked at that information and thought it’s just a bunch of racist Republicans and I don’t care.
Um, Mr. Mayor, this is a little bit more than a “snafu”. Wow…. Our city’s future depends on the education it provides. I mean, if you look at our statistics with crime and literacy (or a lack there of), it does truly make sense now. These kids can’t even read. Milwaukee parents have treated MPS like a daycare for a long time, and it shows. Milwaukee county would’ve been better off using that money to build another juvenile detention facility. Then the kids wouldn’t have anything else to do but get an education.
Stupid is as stupid does. Why tax payers are not protesting the massive amount of money to MPS in tax payer money is beyond me. Why keep voting these people in? There’s a reason I moved out of Milwaukee county…out of control!
Look at that 0.76 GPA in action!! What a sight to behold! I totally forgot that MKE superintendents were voted in to "office" and they ran on party platforms... You know, rather than in the real world where members of the district's school board hire the superintendent. This has absolutely nothing to do with democrat/republican, but because of the large number of sexual encounters with relatives you keep finding yourself in, your mind goes straight to red v blue. Also, Jill Underly's office, the WI Superintendent of Public Instruction (the one that actually gets elected lol) is nonpartisan.
@@romktch17 this has everything to do with politics in this city. Everybody wants to be everybody’s friend on the Democratic side without recognizing the issues that we face. there’s a reason so few individuals from the MPS system graduate at the level they should, and it all comes down to politics of everything. There are so many teens causing so much havoc on our city today because they aren’t in school that it’s ridiculous. Now people are calling our law-enforcement to get more involved with a situation that requires a lot more than just law-enforcement if everybody wants them to keep their nose out of everybody’s business. Social workers need to be involved, teachers need to be involved. Parents need to be involved. But instead of holding people accountable for their faults, we’ve decided to pin everything bad that happens on police officers who are honestly just trying to do their job. it’s very clear that MPS has been fraudulently using funds for God only knows what and depriving their students of success, but in the past almost 8 years that has become for some odd reason, a racial discussion because pointing out the issues that we have that have to primarily do with the inner city is apparently racist, when really I think it’s concerned citizens pointing out the obvious there’s something lacking here which needs to be addressed instead of avoided. This goes way further than MPS at this point because listening to the mayor and the police chief discuss the ongoing issues we have with violent crime and carjackings in our city displayed mostly by teens was absolutely appalling, but at the same time it’s kind of what people wanted in 2020. People wanted to defund the police and they wanted to basically do whatever the hell they wanted and now I think this city more than ever is seen the repercussions of those decisions, not to mention the call for police now more than ever. I hope people have learned their lesson.
LMAO, same district that says late work, missing work, and deadlines are racist. This is what happens when you set the bar so damn low and celebrate below average for a particular group of people.
@@romktch17 your comment makes no sense. It’s pretty clear that private schools are funded better than public schools. Mostly because the parents give more money that’s not being fraudulently used for reasons unannounced to us. The crappy thing is right now they just passed for an increase in school budget at MPS and they still haven’t even discovered where all these missing funds and everything are. They still haven’t even been audited and they just passed well over $1 million. For what? They increased all of our property taxes, and rent prices all over Milwaukee during inflation because they said they had to deal with increasing prices themselves back in March lo and behold we find out months later they owe DPI tens of millions of dollars it’s unaccounted for. The conspiracy goes even further to say they don’t even have a direct number of how much is owed back because of the mess that is the financial system at MPS. Yet this board is going to pass an increase in spending. It’s absolutely absurd.
Oh man, it's sad to see your ability to correctly communicate the English language has taken another step back. You were doing so good there for a while too, Mrburgers! What happened? Started selling EBT cards again?
Where did you get your doctorate at again? Did you even break the 1.5 GPA milestone at your school for at risk high school kids? Posley is a crook but this comment is hilariously not thought out.
@@romktch17 no I think it’s pretty well thawed out. I think you drank too much Kool-Aid and need to go to bed. Take a nap cause you’re crabby. Where has DEI gotten them in six years?
Glad media is covering this.
Audit the books. Where is the money. Millions unaccounted?
A lot of money went to vacations and Vegas trips.

They should have ran this report before we had the vote to give them even more of our tax money.
