Third part on the Roberts R9906 radio, in which I get it working!

Nice work Tim! Tip o' the hat, mate. Fascinating that this crystal has earned a reputation for not taking solder very well. Odd metal in the leads?

Thanks Joe. I expect the leads may be made of an alloy not so receptive to solder, perhaps something to do with the way these crystals are constructed. I use lead/tin (traditional) flux cored solder, which hopefully has made a better joint in this case.
