Great points in here regarding the decompression of the frontal ribcage, but a bit short on the triceps muscle. You imply strengthening the triceps long head and lower traps. But the exercise you show appears to stretch the lat, but would also stretch the triceps. Also I'm not yet clear on the concept of 'internal rotation of ribs'. Do you mean rotation of the ribcage as a whole 🤔? Thanks dude keep up the great and informative work
hello, 8 years ago I had a lesion of the right long thoracic nerve, fortunately my recovery was 70% 80% I do the gym the winged shoulder blade can be resolved, I suffer from a slight scoliosis and kyphosis, what do you recommend? Thanks very much. Thanks for your video
Omg. I'm in so much trouble here. I just tried a Thomas test and my LEFT leg is up as well as MY RIGHT hand won't reach up the back properly and when I punch forwards , the shoulder blades look different to eachother..... I think BOTH shoulders are injured.? . as they actually BOTH hurt with exercise. One side between neck and shoulder is shorter than the other & both of my rib/sides? hurt in the mornings .. And yes also when I do exercises the front hurts just below the color bone .. I wake up with pain on my sides./ Ribs?.. Cant sleep straight on my back at night without waking up with side pain. And sometimes Hip pain. ... I'm too young for all this bullshit..! I also get short of breath when I exercise or just walk up the stairs or the smallest thing .. maybe connection to the shoulders like you said... Is this possible to affect your breathing like that with smallest movement I don't think most physical therapists even know all this stuff your talking about or look for it do they? I've avoided doctors for 10/15? Years and I think I'm in a bit of trouble here.. Hence the researching on my own.. Doctors got too many patients and I got too many things going on for them to be able to help
How do I get my traps and neck to shut off during shoulder protraction . I was doing the quadruped breathing exercise hoping to get some expansion in the rib cage but the thing that happens is upon pushing thru the floor with my hands I get tons of traps kicking in . Do you suggest any modifications ?
Is it possible to have left flared ribs but the upper portion of the left ribs (up by pec)be compressed? This is what I’m dealing with and have no clue how to fix it. If I try to close the left side off it just makes everything more compressed
Every single morning I wake up with pain on my sides.. do U think it's the serratus anterior. And what injuries exactly could cause it to hurt after lying on your back all night.. I've mentioned it to doctors and they just pull a face like I'm an idiot making things up.. But this serratus is I think where the pain is. And I got some shoulder impingement or something going on where I can't reach up back
no offense but if someone has a winged scapula, their serratus anterior is dysfunctional and that should be treated with specific exercises to strengthen it along with lower traps and stretch the pec minor and major thats pulling the scapula and humerus into internal rotation. this video talked about nothing remotely close to serratus anterior exercises or the clssic T's and Y's for the lower trap. terrible video.
Do some more research before making stupid comments. There is a clear relationship between ribcage positioning and the scapula and thus has an impact on scapular winging.
Do you realise there are two kinds of scapular winging? Lateral and Medial? The serratus anterior is important yes, but it's still one piece of the puzzle and is only important for one of the types of winging (medial).
Feels good to see ild videos of connor, how excellent his understanding for skeletal issues is admiring
love all the videos bro the breathing stuff works better then other things i’ve tried.
It’s important to consider the thing we do 20,000 times a day 😁
Im going to add this to my pri routines, awesome stuff
Thank you so much for this video. Very helpful and important for me ❗❤

You should have specified which shoulder is the problem and which way to do the excersize according to that.
😢Everything is clear.
everything becomes crystal clear when you start doing those exercises
Right shoulder issue
Usually it's right shoudler
What about serratus anterior? Wouldn’t it play an important in pulling the scapula on the ribcage? Aka externally rotating it?
Good stuff. Am I correct in thinking the first exercise was for left scap and the second was for right scap and right tricep?

This sounds like me..
Right hand shoulder is the issue and the stretching exercise is reversed
thankyou so much
Great information
yo whats up with ther arm size difference? not hating my arms just happen to look like that because of a shoulder injury so im curious

I have the same problem. Do you have a solution yet?
Amazing video
Is there something like left bc pattern and right aic pattern or is only right bc and left aic possible
Does this coincide with the body building “breathing pullovers” to expand the rib cage?

How many times it should be done ??
So if we have left aic right Bc pattern we should address this before trying to correct the winged scapula?
I have pectus craninatum affected to left side of rib and right scapula is winging
I hv pain under scpula and compression
I think I got this from sleeping on one of my arms over the other
Same
@@SloshyGrank I fixed mine by working out enough 👍 muscles put it back
Me too!
The one sided inclination was enlightening. Maybe fapping is the root cause
u sure fap a lot then lmao. Its from mouse lmao
i think this maybe the reason for my uneven pecs my left shoulder falls more forward
I have this from scoliosis
How is it going for you?
@@legioner9 i have pain
@@91Stellaakasteky91 Sorry to hear. Did you started doing these recovery exercises?

Maybe there is more to it dude. I’m a therapist. Basic level execises are not the whole picture always.
There’s already a million videos out there that show the same cookie cutter exercises you just mentioned. Go be a nimrod somewhere else.
