My feeling on Werner hasn't changed. He's a good, pacey and experienced player who is, and has been, a very useful squad player. Last night he was our best front line player before he went off with what looked to me like a groin strain. People should get off his back
Even without goals, Timo is a real distraction in attacking areas. And the sight of him coming on as a sub must cause groans among opposing fullbacks and wingbacks, who know he will run at them relentlessly. ButI was thrilled to see his very timely goal against City.
We need to bulk up our back line so we don't have to feel panicked when VDV is out. We very much need these young guns like Vušković for this. Until then we're probably going to get rolled over on that line. I like Davies but against players like Osimen....Whew*
I have and always will back Werner, he gets so many chances he makes himself look back, others don't posess the ability to make those chances, let him develop confidence because he is only a decent finish of these goals aways from being world class.
I’m backing Timo to score some more important goals for us and fully become a cult hero. We love an unloved, unlikely champion of the written-off at spurs so we should support him. We are supposed to be supporters after all. We should give him love, not groans and negativity, because that’s what sonny would do and would the world not be a better place if we were all more like sonny?
Villa fan here. Just seeing what you guys are thinking pre game. Just one thing..we reckon konsa will probably come in for cash on the right, with carlos partnering torres at the back. We tend to do that against the better teams. Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from tomorrow!!
The time is coming when Sonny needs to decide on his International future if he want to extend his playing career for Spurs. This is perhaps why a new contract for him has not been agreed?
Tbh Werner had other clear chances against Man City .. spurs should have won by more goals.. has he turned a corner - I don’t think so.. Moore / Robert and the 18yr South Korean player will get more game time.
If Solanke is able to play AGAIN we need to get the ball to him further up the pitch. I don't trust the other forwards to be clinical enough. Fatigue is going to be a major factor on Sunday. Udogies minutes are just too high as well. Werner looked like a groin strain didn't it. He may not have the pace for Sunday. We have a few problems .
A press game , which again is highlight the defence being able to cope and make the out balls. Dragusin RCB and Davis LCB seems the likely choice , with a few more long balls rather than playing out from the back, being played to big Dom to break up the patterns , if the press is causing mistakes. Must be ready to compete, so up the chances ,that have been dropping off recently. Get the better of a possible 4-3 either way ,given both sides attacking preference. A 0-0 draw helps neither club, but Villa will be happier for it. Front foot attack 'em and play to win always. CoYS!
It could well be the case that Spurs should just go back to their historical DNA of being an excellent cup team. It’s for the birds that Spurs can consistently compete for the league - losing against the magpies, seagulls and the eagles would suggest that ;)
Sonny will be on the bench sunday. werner will start.i would like to see Spence get some game time,Moore to come on 2nd half.Madders will start,Kulu/bissouma. sarr to come on 2nd half.
I have previously said that Tottenham have a problem and it is James Maddison because he walks around believing his own hype. All he does is fall down screaming at referees instead of playing the game..Yes Maddison as Ange marquee signing he is a let down 🤔🤔🤔 he is so bad he can’t even get back into the England squad
@@willmunda403 But it is still something that we have never been. Just like you are not the first British club to win a European trophy or are the only non league club to win the FA Cup. But if you feel the need to become the second non league side to win the FA cup then go for it! Plus don't mention Wembley Stadium. I would be happy to play you there all the time.
@@JohnLovesSpain Nor have we been in the 3rd tier of English football. But we are the first British club to win an European trophy and remain the only non league club to win the FA Cup. So your boring European cup that even a Scottish club did first is really insignificant by comparison. Don't you think? Plus Villa park is a bigger relic than Old Trafford. @@totspur6376 there is no big shame in being third tier, in fact I was quite proud in supporting a lower league team. Its the thrill in experiencing the growth from the third tier to the success at the very top of European football is what matters.
Beating Man City means nothing to me if we don't win against Aston Villa, Ipswich, and Fulham. I will take a draw against Galatasaray, and it's fine to lose to Man City at the Etihad. I'm not enjoying anything until we do that.

The big plus is Radu get loads of minutes, which will be important for the last half of the season. And it'll shut his agent up (for a bit).
I feel the only thing Timo does not do is score goals, if he changes that hes an awsome player on the bench COYS

My opinions on Werner has pretty much stayed consistent. Great squad player. Could be amazing if he was a more prolific goal scorer.
You are so articulate Barnaby, it's a pleasure listening to your coverage.

Sure, spurs have the ability to batter any team, but will they have the legs? Solanke needs more recovery.

Vill will rip Spurs to pieces as they move into 3rd place. Big Anges one and only tactic is easy for the master tactician to deal with.
Love being the first one here …Go Barnaby !

spurred on, baby!
I think Son has the best 0-100 goals in prem history.. can't wait for his next one
By dismantle Villa,do you mean cripple them?Which is what Bentacour and Co tried to do with their mistimed dangerous sliding tackles!
Two teams that are struggking with depth with the added european competition. Its going to be a good game
Mate we aren’t struggling with depth what are you on 😂
Villas away form this season is 6 wins 1 draw in all comps.

Hmmmm. Dunno. Wouldn't surprise me if villa get up.

We might lose this villa game but i hope people dont get too hysterical
Weren't Villa ruined and dead in the water after a European tie last time?
Pep our...😂
coys
If it's away, then Spurs lose. At home, they can beat any team.
Ange hater lots negativity here not good commentary still in love with looser poch
4 1 villa incoming

Villa have also been in the 3rd tier of English football. Something Spurs have never done.
and Spursy haven't won the European Cup either but Villa have
That’s in 1970 when I started to support them, but rose to become the 1982 European Champions, only 12 years later.

You’re a good commentator for games Barnaby, but you need a mate to do this. Bit weird.
WERNER IS THE WORST PLAYER IVE EVER SEEN BUT FOR SOME MAD REASON ..I WANT HIM TO START A FEW MORE GAMES ..😂😂😂😂

@BigCarso That's the truth
This will be the toughest game of the season so far.
