This year's Festa is really hitting me differently and this song made me cry right when I was getting ready for work this morning. I cried on the first listen and I still cry now - I think this is always going to be one of those songs. The attention to detail is amazing from the outfits and haircolor to the subtle nods toward their previous selves. For once I'm glad the boys aren't in the actual MV because I don't think I'd be able to stop crying long enough to watch it more than once. We don't deserve these 7 amazing young men who continue to give their love to ARMY without hesitation. It's beautiful to see and I'm glad to be part of this extended family.
I agree, this FESTA is extra extra special, like LITERALLY. Not just special about the albums/events but everything that’s going on during this time is “special” too. I’m sad that we can’t go all out to celebrate this special year as big as it’s supposed to be. It sucks but I sometimes try to comfort myself that it’s alright and hardships make this year extra special. I cry EVERY time with this song, and this video just... completely did me in. The speech you're thinking of where Hobi broke down and Jin told us they almost broke up was MAMA 2018. There are SO many tiny details. If you notice, when Joon is drowning, it's just one little purple light that he follows to the surface, and the colors change more and more from winter to spring, and the end is not only Boy With Luv, but the end of the long winter of their trials, the beginning of a new spring. This makes me sadder there's no tour this year. But I'll wait forever, I don't care if I'm an old lady and somebody has to wheel me there in a wheelchair!

Remember that time when he broke his shoulders and he didnt tell anyone cuz he was afraid that he'll get kicked out of bts? and that was the period that people was also accusing them of sajaegi when their sales got higher. When namjoon feel in the water too, it was likely referenced to Run's starting scene and remember all those people mocking and critisizing BTS for having such an odd name and how they laugh at everything they do? Namjoon was only 19 when BTS debuted and he had the biggest responsibility of holding them together and they all had to block all the hate since they were teenagers and all. Josh, I felt exactly the same. I remember I cried so much when I watched HEARTBEAT music video. However, for this one, I surprisingly didn’t cry although I thought I would because it’s the most emotional song. I feel nostalgic and emotional, but I think the animation makes me happier. I just saw on twitter that the black wave threatening to overpower BTS at 1:29 of the video represents the 'black ocean' when they used to perform and the other fandoms would turn off their lightsticks and refuse to cheer for them. I think this song is a kind of love letter for ARMY from BTS.
The black wave in Jungkook's part looks like they are referencing the Black ocean in 2016 where other fandoms don't light up their lightsticks when BTS were performing. But look at them now, the beautiful PURPLE ocean they received from their one and only ARMY. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

In suga's verse , he was his in I Need You Era animation and he was holding onto his shoulder. Remember that time when he broke his shoulders and he didnt tell anyone cuz he was afraid that he'll get kicked out of bts? and that was the period that people was also accusing them of sajaegi when their sales got higher. All the glass shards that is flying beside him. Gosh this was such an emotional time in our fandom. When namjoon feel in the water too, it was likely referenced to Run's starting scene and remember all those people mocking and critisizing BTS for having such an odd name and how they laugh at everything they do? Namjoon was only 19 when BTS debuted and he had the biggest responsibility of holding them together and they all had to block all the hate since they were teenagers and all. And the scene that cait was saying , that was the Wings era ending ment (where everyone started crying cuz of the sheer amount of antis trying to bring them down ; remember the hashtag that says plagirism boys that trended during their wings concert?) but they also put the 2018 MAMA award in the hand (presumably) cuz that was one of their toughest year in their careers. I hope Josh is okay and thank you guys for reacting to this.

Josh, I felt exactly the same. I remember I cried so much when I watched HEARTBEAT music video. However, for this one, I surprisingly didn’t cry although I thought I would because it’s the most emotional song. I feel nostalgic and emotional, but I think the animation makes me happier. Hence, I just smiled throughout the whole MV. I’m glad that they went with animation. This shows that our journey with BTS is a happy journey 😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

The speech that you were talking about josh was from mama 2018, the unforgettable one where jin told us about their thoughts on disbanding. The scene in the music video could be referencing that or could be from the wings final speeches where they shed a lot of tears as well. They thought they reached their peak at that time and were stressed. I'd love to see you guys watch their wings speech sometime, it's really sweet. I was hoping to see an upload from you guys. I just saw on twitter that the black wave threatening to overpower BTS at 1:29 of the video represents the 'black ocean' when they used to perform and the other fandoms would turn off their lightsticks and refuse to cheer for them. But it's ok, now they've got stadiums of purple oceans and a mikrokosmos of Army lights. Also, Armys cheer for other groups, which once caused Jin to say that he was very proud of the fandom. :)))

Tae wasn't planning on joining bighit either. But fate brought him there. The writing behind Jk, "Solo". It refers to that prank they did on RM. He was asked if he wanted to go solo or Bangtan boys. No hesitation at all, BTS.
