Any time I find myself slipping away from reality or disoriented from myself, this song always allows me to relish in those feelings and provides me with an overwhelming sense of peace. Thank you for this music and the aid it has brought me and so many others
Listening to this while thinking about my grandmother who recently passed. Thank you William, and I'm sorry if I wasn't around as much as I should have been Mimi, I love you.
I've known and enjoyed this song for a few years but am just listening via headphones now for the first time, and....wow. Existing beauty significantly increased. Spectacular.
Steve Strauss Me too! I just watched it 2 nights ago. It was a powerful documentary......and then I heard this piece of music which fit perfectly. Bonus!!
Woodstock-movie brought me here.....! What a great instrumental !! Thanks also for the superb video! Epic,timeless..so "wunderbar"! Love it ,love it!! Greetings from Germany,B.L.
Saw William for the first time on his Impossible Truth tour in Frankfurt, Germany. Since then I've been coming back to his music every couple of months and it's amazing.
Just recently discovered William Tylers music because of a Spotify recommendation that my mother played.. I usually listen to rap these days but now I've been listening to this stuff for the past 48 hours
Went to see Daniel Norgren in PDX a few years ago ( who was amazing) William Tyler came out to open... Had no idea who he was. His set was just mind blowing... moving, powerful, ... and all without knowing what he was about to play. Trust me... go see this man is you ever get the chance!
Just heard a bit of this on the Woodstock documentary, had to come and give it a proper listen.I was trying to remember where I'd heard similar, The durritti column/ Vinnie Reilly comes to mind..
Never liked country music. Not even the newer artists have changed my mind. However this guy has moved me into this style of country. This is nice. Heard this on The Blue Bus show with Forest. Gave me chills. I'd put his guitar work on par with John Prine and Tim Reynolds easily.
Hey William, I’m sorry for asking you for your pick when you toured with Kurt in Australia years ago as Lambchop. Hope you are ok. And also, Miss David Berman now.
This is touching, beautiful, introspective, heart enriching. I will buy this. Reminds me of Phil Collins Take Me Home & Pat Metheny Long Train Home - Also like some of Brian Eno's APOLLO & his Music For Airports or Ulrich Schnauss - Far Away Trains Passing
drumwork kills the infinity guitarline.. soundtrack for desert ... oh my what a great player he is... i saw him perform this solo at le guess who festival in utrecht... mezmerizing
Such a beautiful composition! It's almost identical with "Main Title Theme (Billy)" from the soundtrack album for Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid by Bob Dylan.
I just finished watching the documentary and this song seemed out of place at the end. Shazamed it and it sent me here. It sounds like a combination of a slow version U2's One Tree Hill and KLF's Elvis on the Radio, Steel Guitar on my Soul. The other song that was out of place was the Velvet Ground's Sunday Morning. The irony is they were anti-hippie.
William is an original voice, but the roots of his guitar sound and melodies are in German Michael Rother's music. Dear guys, check out Rother's music and you will find a wonderful ocean to dive in endlessy.
I've never listened to much Steve Gunn, but a friend told me to come along a few months back. Saw him do a nice show in a small venue here in central NC. It was awesome. Very good music. One of my biggest musical regrets - William Tyler played a free show at the university down the block from my house. Was feeling tired after a workday, so decided not to go. Ugh. He comes through these parts a fair amount though, so I look forward to seeing him live at some point.

This entire album stirs so many different feelings.
But this song right here, there is no other song I'd rather hear today. Feeling lost.
One of my favorite pieces of music from the last few years. Makes me instantly happy and contemplative.
Not an American, but visited many times. Wonderful song, beautiful video. Eastern Utah will always hold a special place in my heart.
Listening to this while thinking about my grandmother who recently passed. Thank you William, and I'm sorry if I wasn't around as much as I should have been Mimi, I love you.
Sorry for your loss. Thank you for making me think of my Mimi. My amazing aunt. Miss her.
I've known and enjoyed this song for a few years but am just listening via headphones now for the first time, and....wow. Existing beauty significantly increased. Spectacular.
It is a trip every time you put it on with your headphones on...
This song does something to me every single time I play it.
PBS "Woodstock:Three Days That Defined a Generation" brought me here.......

Thank you Paul Dano for putting me on to this. It really does bring comfort and calm.
My sunset song. Incredibly beautiful, majestic and transcendental.
Raffy Rillo and i listen to it for the first time in october 2019 😍🇵🇹
Sounds so much like a Daniel Lanois instrumental it's almost scary. That's the highest possible compliment.

Saw him live last week. Super lucky. Bought this record and immediately regretted not picking up the other one he was selling. Ugh! Love him.

Outstanding!! Closed my eyes, listened and the music carried me away to a wonderful place.

A fantastic song to listen when working. Pulls me in and out of focus, both for my work and appreciating the music.

Very soothing, relaxing and something that takes you away. Glad I found this. Thank you!
Walking the path Daniel Lanois showed up. Very nice.
His best song. One of my favourite,ever.Brilliant.

Music from the soul...
Sweetness incarnate.

.. lied down on my hospital bed . I closed the eyes after that Look forward to being back on the top of the hill...

This is still the "go 2" masterpiece if you need to calm down and just breathe

I like the drums in this song (a lot)

@@fantasmadelalibertad i think now at this moment and beyond you tell well
Listen...I don’t know what you’ve been smoking to think this is country, but pass the blunt. I want whatever you’re having.
🎶❤🎶. just saw this in phx, incredible, so glad I got to show early. you sir, fantabulous!🎶!
Extraordinaire.Love over and over
Un jour j'ai écouté un de ses morceaux, et le l'ai aimé. Et j'ai aussi aimé sa musique 💙
Just saw this guy live. Holy shit.
Such a beautiful composition! It's almost identical with "Main Title Theme (Billy)" from the soundtrack album for Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid by Bob Dylan.
what a great great track
This is an instrumental version of Bob Dylan's Tom Thumb's Blues. It works beautifully as karaoke.
Plus.. Great Video Art !!
Beautiful music
Beautifullllllll!!@@@
Love this music and video
Beautiful song
This song make me feel a cowboy :) so good B)
Very nice indeed!
I liked this music!
15/04/2023: I really should wrap it up with this licence thing

Seems like Utah, part of it anyway. About as close to the sky one can get.
Reminds me of Billy the Kid 1973
. . . just look away or close your eyes. he is far more about the music.there is also a posting of the song without any visual "moving parts."’
loved seeing this live in atl last night
Fantastica,eterea,senza tempo
heard this on the First Cow trailer
If you like this, you should also check out "The Great Unwind". These two songs bookend the terrific "Modern Country" album.
Love smokin to this song
can anybody tell me if this is the music that was used during the last few minutes of footage in Woodstock - 3days that changed the world?
Yes, it is.
How he did that effect at the beginning of the video?
Bob Dylan- Main Title Theme (Billy)
Country Western Shoegaze
Sublime
"First Cow" trailer music
Reminds me of Ry Cooder mixed with a bit of Steve Gunn.

that's actually a perfect description of WT hope you don't mind if I use it in the future
@@strace67 Not at all! WT also reminds me a bit of Leo Kottke.
simples e maravilhoso
Awesome musicality...quite beautiful...
Same here
this sounds exactly like billy 1 from Bob Dylan! same chords all way through.
This song reminds me on "Home sweet home" by Charlie Sexton.
That's a lovely music

If this had a motorik beat, it would be a Michael Rother track. And I mean that in the best possible way.
