the thing about heelflips is when you get them dialed you can pop them from your regular feet position, its only the slightest front foot shuffle to go bigger. in saying that this guys heels are still on some other shit.

Interesting point, do you catch you kickflips when still going up or do you crouch to land them? Whenever I try to ollie and then flick, I end up not having enough air time to land. It's weird too, because the varial kickflips I've landed felt way more like doing a front foot flick and backfoot scoop simultaneously from the moment you pop the tail. There's no pop, get air and then do it there. And I hear a lot of people say to not think of a kickflip as two separate tricks in one (ollie + flip).

I'm a kickflip guy but planning on learning heelflips this summer. Once I re-learn kickflips first. 😅

That Ollie first concept takes time to get down. Because the timing is very subtle. Takes a lot of control mentally

That's how I do them. Putting them on the middle of the tail or the opposite pocket makes no sense to me.
Same, only difference is that my front foot is slanted to the nose for a varial heel and to the tail for a inward
