I was today years old (Sept. 19, 2022) when I heard this. Stumbled across this song, and the tears rolled down my face real slow. My daddy was my Everything. He lost his battle with cancer in August of 2008. It's been 14 years, and I miss him more and more each year. Thank you Mr. Allen for this song. Sometimes I need to know that I'm not the only person missing their daddy...no matter how old you get.💛

My mom told me to listen to this song. January 29th, my grandpa, the man who raised me passed away. He wasn't perfect by any means but he did everything he could to give me a good life and his biggest wish was that he would live long enough to see me get grown. He managed to hold out just long enough to see that. He was never good at showing love, but I know that if he never loved anybody else, he loved me with everything he had in him. I still miss you papa, but I hope that you finally found peace and I know we'll see each other again. 💜

He took me hunting and fishing, he bought me my first legal drink on my 21st birthday. He was there for me in all my ups and downs I knew I could alway count on him he was always there for me. A couple months after my grandpa passed (he was my dad figure) I had a really tough day at work and got in my car and was driving home and I was flipping through the channels and for some reason (and I’ve never done this before) I put the radio on 92.5 and this song came on. I cried the rest of the drive home

Holy moley, I listened to you sing this on American Idol and was bawling. Losing our parent is hard. My mom has been gone for 38 years and this song made me very emotional. My dad has been gone 17 years.
My wives mom died when she was 14, and how she makes a lot of money - but, prides herself on how much she gives away. She grew up VERY poor. I grew up poor to lower middle class because of my mom, and she died when I was 26, but at least she saw me go to college and get married. I have been married for over 35 years, but STILL wish she was here! Moms are EVERYTHING, and GREAT dads are KING of 'our' worlds!!!!

Monday im getting a raise, insurance and the bonus ive been promised or im switching positions , ive been to 32 of the last 34 days , and i helped the company with the team around me produce 520 cabinets yesterday , at 4-8 hundred a piece add the numbers up . Very physical after u lifted these pieces all day long , me and the dude across from me never get a break , everyone else does . Were expected to produce 1 every 60 seconds , she said i was producing 58 an hour but thats the legit best i got . But our numbers were not the lowest in the building
