Gopal, who is a good-natured but dull boy, has struggled with his studies and hasn’t secured a job. His wife suggests that he write a poem and present it to King Vidyadhar, as the king loves listening to poems. Gopal composes a poem and presents it to the king. The poem turns out to contain a clue that ends up saving the king’s life. Pleased with Gopal, the king appoints him as the royal astrologer of the kingdom. One day, the queen's precious necklace is stolen. Once again, Gopal's luck comes into play, leading to the capture of the thief and the recovery of the necklace. Gopal’s fame spreads far and wide, and soon a minister from a neighboring kingdom comes to test Gopal’s knowledge. However, Gopal’s luck once again helps him pass the test unscathed. Afterward, Gopal informs the king that his powers have diminished and that he can no longer serve the kingdom effectively. The king, grateful for Gopal’s services, gives him a generous reward and bids him farewell.
