Henry's VA is Tom McKay and he is a really nice guy, and it's so funny that they made his face model so accurate to his actual appearance because he is literally now basically Henry in live action. Same with Luke Dale, the VA/face model for Sir Hans Capon.
Henry and Hans were modeled after their voice actors. Since theyre also their mocap actors. And about the character build and skills, Henry and Hans will almost certainly be ambushed, wounded and maybe even imprisoned, that would explain why he looks older and chubbier since there will be a time lapse. And after he's released he will have to relearn his skills back, making it a perfect start for newcomers and older players.
Tom McKay is absolutely brilliant and I was nearly in tears watching rhe reveal yesterday, Was #44 on their kickstarter campaign back in the early days of KCD, and super proud of that fact. What a game it was and I am super stoked for KCD 2.
If Henry isn't hungry in the sequel, I'm gonna be disappointed beyond words. And someone in Kuttenberg absolutely needs to say, "Henry's come to see us!" If those two things happen, easily GOTY.

Possibly also the next installment of Dragon Age as well, although the release date won't be announced until June. It's been rumoured to launch at the end of this year, at any rate.
The lighting is noticeably better and the colours are more vibrant, but I’m curious to see how the gameplay is improved. The combat and exploration was already pretty good.
Kingdom Come is a gem of a game and really puts other games to shame, in an era where games are rushed and incomplete at release, Kingdom Come showed us that it's still possible to make great and complete games on a modern engine. The only thing that could make it better is having a modding scene like Bethesda games for Kingdom Come.
Really looking forward to your playthrough Gopher! I have such fond memories of your playthrough of the first part. The second part will be all glorious again! :D

They kept this under wraps pretty well although quite a lot of info was there if you dug for it. I'd almost forgotten about it tbh. Kuttenburg is the focal point and no doubt we are going to see some insanely good urban settings to historical accuracy and scale.
I really hope there's a save file transfer or at least you can choose your "background" when you start, because i always liked the idea of Henry marrying Theresa and i didn't see her in the trailer, but i saw that you can be a "lover". I just hope she's not completely ignored or written out. I liked her a lot.

It couldn't be modeled after Czech VA since Czech dub was release just last year and is fan made (with blessing from Warhorse studios)

I am definetly happy to see more ranged options and hoping they change some of the weapon systems. Cause I was sad to never try polearms since they were non-inventory items.
They specifically mentioned in the game reveal video that this game would feature many of the things they wanted for the first game but didn’t have the resources to pull off at the time.
I worry for this game since certain "Urinalist" outlets have been claiming that KC:D2 is going to be a bastion of "diversity". They better stick to their guns like last time and keep everything HISTORICALLY accurate, it's what drew me in in the first place.
Not sure how major a city Kuttenberg was at that period, but it might have more foreign visitors than the region in the first game. But honestly I am not sure about the history of 'Kuttenberg' at all.

@Gopher German games magazine GameStar released a good (spoiler free) video that includes some interesting technical information. The automatic RUclips subtitles are pretty well translated, though that AI seems to struggle with english words within the german voiceover. (The names of the developer and the games are never written the same way twice and "stealth" is translated as "death" once) Cheers
I got into that game through watching you play it. I had to give myself a couple year break before playing it myself so it felt fresh! Great game, but I'm aware I played it after several updates as I remember it being a buggy launch!! Their quote of being twice as big as the first hopefully doesn't mean they sacrifice on bugs / performance

Maybe this Henry canonically did a merciful run and the only person he killed was Runt. 👀 I assume you're going to start with the combo system, master stroke system, and perfect block system etc already unlocked but no perks. (as opposed to the first game when you can't even unlock that for about three hours) So if you got good at combat in the first game you'll technically be able to be about as good but still have RPG progression for video games reasons.
Lets hope Deep Silver didn't ruin it too much. I hope I can import my save and keep my Golden Plate Armor and my amazing white Horse in amazing Horse-Armor.
They confirmed in an interview that Henry will get robbed at the beginning, so that probably explains him losing all the late game gear from the first game. But I really have no idea how they are going to explain the reset of skills. Injury + sensory motor amnesia of some kind or something like that I'm guessing. Still, I'm guessing that he won't be going back to the incompetence at everything like at the beginning of the first game, as they emphasised that they will be making the combat mechanics more "accessible".
It's a remarkable effort for the voice actor for Henry to undergo plastic surgery to look more like the in game character, now that's some real dedication.... 🥸
Well I have 0 inside knowledge so this is pure speculations on my part, however the horse Henry was riding in the trailer has similar coloring and markings as Pebbles in KCD 1 and it's not something common so I would say it's him ?
They can start me from scratch if they get rid of that damn combo system. I've done in excess of 5 playthroughs (a few dozen partials) and I have never once managed a successful combo. Ever.

They had sneak set to click in left stick, run on the B button and jump was on X So everytime i d try to run away in game id crouch, everytime i tried to crouch id start running, and everytime i tried to sheath/unsheath my weapon or interact with something id jump. Games like halo CE mastered the console control set up almost 25 years ago, but some games still struggle with it today.
@@SPITSPHIRE can't you rebind keys? I hate games made for consoles since they oftentimes don't let me save when I want. Come on, manual saves and quicksaves have been for ages... And believe me it feels so strange like the mouse is floating

You put in all the time and effort allowing someone to rebind the keyboard and mouse controls, but you won't extend the feature to controllers? Some games go so far as to not even give the option of alternate control schemes, or even edit the look sensitivity. Your just stuck with whatever setting's the game comes with default.
Devs not independent anymore, nice and cosy under Embrace group. Lower expectation to minimum. If won't F-up and deliver same or better will feels way better without all fake/PR induced hype.
I feel like Kingdom Come: Deliverance should be the base game system being used for Skywind instead of Skyrim. Morrowiverance, or something. They're from different series and developers, sure, but the progression system in Kingdom Come does exactly what the Morrowind progression system wanted to do but lacked the tech for. In Morrowind, it's largely the same. No matter how good you are as a player, your character sucks at stuff, and so you will fail to cast spells, you'll miss with your weapon attacks, you'll hardly ever raise your shield to block in time, etc. Lots of people, including myself, are nostalgic for Morrowind. But also a lot of people, including myself again, will say that system is awful. Kingdom Come accomplishes what they were going for in a way that feels WAY better to the player - still frustrating to suck at something early on, but with much more satisfying to notice your improvement beyond a simple hit/miss chance. Early on, you almost 'get used' to sucking at everything, and then you as a player grow with your character, and you feel like you're the one learning new things. Just something I thought of, while watching this video. Thanks for posting this, as I hadn't heard of it yet Gopher. (:
To clarify, I'm definitely not suggesting Skywind be scrapped - I'm VERY much looking forward to that. I was just making some comparisons between the two progression systems and what they wanted to accomplish, as far as a player experience goes.

I'm guessing they will have the decision you made as a imported feature and the combat skills at a baseline, only to improve them further.
