Thank you, I dont really understand why the redirectURI is necessary when using the popUp functionality.
It has something to do with sending the data back to the parent window or? I would love to get an explanation to this

You should try it without redirectURI. I think it's sent in the request and if the redirectURI doesn't match the one you set up in Apple account, probably it'll fail.

Apple developer account is free. But you have to sign-up for a $99 USD/yearly membership. If you want to distribute your app to the app store.
