My 85 6.9 sat for almost ten years. After some fuel line fixed, brake lines that rusted and some body grounds cleaned it started like it was sitting for a few months. Now it’s in my main fleet making money hauling rock since it’s a dump body. Starts on third revolution every time if you use the glow plugs

these IDI diesels smell very distinct from the other modern day engines on the roads. I’ll smell one before I see one always
