Some things you should know about this Hotel - they don't like your gear. You would earn more respect with the residing spirits if you showed up with less "gear". Hence, why they say this right as you turn the device on for calibration. I used to bring stuff when I would visit, but they would tell me to turn it off and that they didn't like it. So instead of being a sadist I listened.
An example of this is the camera person who went flying when Scariest Places on Earth filmed there. They were grabbed by the camera and thrown on the lobby steps.
How do I know this? Because I have spent many overnights there (even did a night all alone). I know the spirits quite well. As I knew the great caretaker. You should have seen the place when the tunnel in the basement was open and exposed and there was bird shit and carcasses up to your shins. Since the closure of that tunnel, the activity decreased majorly - if you can believe that - cause it's still very active.
The reason why the activity is off the charts in Rm. 109 is because of all those reno's, probably. I can't believe how different that room looks from the last time I stayed there in 2019.
Ps. Did you see the guy outside of the Hotel - he's the gentleman that shot himself. I personally call him Jerry. I don't know why? It's just the name I got. I saw him last time I was there. He's short and in khaki almost safari-ware-type clothing. Shorts and a shirt with pockets. He has on a backpack and also has on a hat. He waved at me when I came down the lobby steps. He was standing in the window. He tried to come in - knocked 4 times and pulled on the door. That's when I screamed "I can't let you in here" - as I was the only person there. He just disappeared. I ran all the way round the building outside and there was no sign of the older man. It was the scariest experience I have had at the hotel. Mainly because I thought that man was still outside. I slept in the lobby with a weapon - in fear that he would break into the hotel.
That's crazy you have had all of those experiences there! We did not see a man outside, but we heard another story from someone else seeing the same thing.

I went in 2010 or there abouts and snuck upstairs from the tour, its was empty but there was strong cigar smoke and some ashe like someone strolled down the hall with a stogie. No footprints in the dust though.

What part of the whole point of the equipment is only triggered when it senses movement do you not understand? It’s going off because the sensor is detecting movement in front of it.
A long time ago I was the biggest non believer.And then I witness things in that old house I could write a book. I lived there for almost 20 years. It does exist!!!!!
