I don't think they were ever that many of them over here to begin with. Mobil installed around 4 or 5, all of which have now gone. Probably around 6-ish at Caltex's, of which two are left. Two others remain at Private car wash sites. There were a few more, but one Private Wash site replaced there's in 2018, a Caltex in Auckland Replaced there's recently, and Caltex in Otaki closed down last year. Though recently a new Private car wash in Christchurch opened up with a Laserwash 4000 they bought secondhand (but it's been heavily refurbished and the T-Bars have been removed).
I think I know which one you mean, as there was indeed a Laserwash 4000 at a Caltex in Hamilton,. but it was replaced by a Washtec SoftCare (not an Istobal).
I think that is the code box that's super common here in Canada! Great video, these are very rare in my area too! Also the wash bar is actually called a gantry. Do you have any tunnel washes in your area?
New Zealand only has two Tunnel Washes, a fairly short Belanger tunnel in Auckland, and a longer MCWW tunnel in Christchurch (neither of these are anywhere near me me). I have a whole Fandom site dedicated to New Zealand car washes if you want to learn more: nz-car-wash.fandom.com/wiki/NZ_Car_Wash_Wiki
The_ALEX_ELLIS_Channel Aw, that sucks. I love Belanger, if you ever happen to be in Auckland (not as if I'm saying you have to go there), please film it if you can!
Great to see a touchless car wash WashTec have installed in York in the uk a mark 7 aqua jet and Istobal have installed at a Bp in the uk in 2020 a Istobal M’Nex27 That can offer touchless programs and the combination of Carlite brush and touchless
I think what the UK market needs is the choice. Brush systems generally offer a better-quality wash than Touch-Free systems, but there are so many people who are skeptical about using brush-wash systems, due to the risk of paint damage (which may or may not occur based a number of factors). what I like about the Car Wash market in NZ the ability to have a choice. Ok, was not aware of the cold wax, but did already know how the dryer system worked. This wash isn't here anymore, it was removed in Januray 2021, and replaced with an Istobal Tracer. The site is now owned by Z Energy and has been re-branded.
I live in the United States and the laser wash 4000 is different where I live because it’s on the other side because we drive on the right side of the road and different countries drive on the left side of the road
Yes, I had noticed that. PDQ has since stopped doing that. The Laserwash M5, 360 and 360plus models all have the wash arm on the right, regardless of the country.
@@the_alex_ellis_channel6923 Same thing with the laser wash 4000 wash arm except in the United States on the right side and where you are it’s on the left side of the bay
These systems that have the arch on the left side are very rare even more rarer than the normal laserwash 4000 very interesting I'm my opinion
Nice car wash!
These Laser Wash 4000 are Very common to find in Australia.

That BP in York has just replaced the AquaJet with a Christ Aquatus Prime.

Are you going to film the PDQ Laserwash M5 at Caltex Wainuiomata one day?
I would like to at some point, yes. It's a bit unreliable and breaks down a lot, so it might take a while.
Broken again this week! I'm not sure it even works at all.
It might need replacing
We've got to mobil near me
