- Is this the BEST new light for Creators? I think it has the potential to be a really good option, but it definitely depends on what you're planning to use it on!
Thanks for all the support! it means a lot to me!!!
Get the fs-300b here:

thanks for making this - really useful
I think it's the best light out there in terms of power to dollar ratio. There is also the insane GVM S600SD Bi-Color 600W at $859 and $849 for the daylight version!
good video buddy, thanks for your review! I might get it as my first list. I am still deciding between fs 150b and 300b. :)
How about sound for acting conversations? Thank you for this information! 👍
@@M_freedomOfSpeech it’s not that loud when the fans on so as long as it’s not right next to you mic you should be good, and if you need it to be completely quiet you can turn the fan off and run the light at 25% which is still pretty bright! Hope that helps man! 👍
@@random_realities Thank you so much my friend, good information! 👍💪
Nice work on this, I have the fs 300 and really like it.
Thanks man! I used the fs-300 as my daily work horse for a long time, there awesome lights!!
@RANDOM_REALITIES for the output and the money it's a no brainer tbh
This was super useful, thank you - I'm looking for a light to setup in my studio work space for a permanent RUclips setup - I can't quite justify the Aperture 300d which I use for professional work - but this looks like a super solid choice for a light that will just stay setup. Some users have mentioned the fans can get noisy... but I'm guessing this isn't an issue when you're shooting your vlogs?
ya its an awesome choice for something that's going to stay in one spot! and the fan noise has never bothered me / I've never picked it up while shooting next to it! you could always run it with the fan off if its set under 25%, I keep mine around 15-20% power and even that's normally to bright!
Thank you - good tip on the power bank
Gotta see Carl dude !
😂😂😂 it’s gana be a banger for sure!!
Thanks!
Great video! Would you say the fan is loud?? Thinking about getting one, but the noise makes me doubt a bit
Thanks man! and no I don't think the fans that loud at all, I normally have the light pretty close to me when I record and I never notice any noise from the fan!
Great review, thanks! How do you find the fan noise? It's always something I'm paranoid about…
Thanks!! I really appreciate that!! The fan noise is really quiet, its still there but you're not going to pick it up unless your mic is right on top of the light, and the best part is you can turn the fan off and run the light up to 25% which is still pretty bright for most occasions!👍
@@random_realities Cheers, good to know!
Great video. How's the fan noise? I know on the original 330 it was pretty noticeable. Any changes with this the 300B? Thoughts on shooting interviews with it?
thanks man! so I've never noticed any fan noise getting picked up when I'm shooting with the light like 3' away from the camera and if your shooting in a super quite area you could turn the fan off but then your limited to 25% which is still pretty bright! thanks for the comment!👍✌
You released the video a year ago. How is the Nanlite app now?
It’s actually come a long way, they just updated it and fix a lot of the issues I had with it so it’s getting a lot better as time goes on! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for sharing!
nice video, vey helpful! how does it compare to the Amaran 200x in term of build and light quality?
Thanks man! So I’ve only gotten to use the 200x once but the build quality is definitely better on the nanlite and the quality of light is pretty close between the two! Thanks for the comment!!
@@random_realities Thanks man!! i've been subscribed for a while now, i love the content, keep it up !
@@abdelilahhamdane4647 thanks man that really means a lot! And thank you for the support!!
I’d love to use it with the power bank but could you tell me how much power I need for a 5 hour shoot outdoor? I’m thinking of the 300w jackery
ya being able to use it outside is awesome!! and it all depends on how bright you have the light set, if you have to set to 15-25% it doesn't suck that much power but if you crank it, its going to suck up all the power really fast! the 300w jackery is a good choice but idk if it will get you 5 hours of run time, you might need something with more milliamps possibly!! and thank you for the comment! hope the shoot goes good!🤞

I did some researches the last 2 days and I found out I need at least a 400w powerstation, there are some cheap ones out there but most of them are just way too big.
The other option would be the aputure 2 bay which is using v mount batteries but then I’m running into cable problems since I cant find a C13 female to 3 pin xlr male, which is probably not even existing 😄 now I’m quite leaning towards the forza 300b ii
But thanks for your input man, I really dig your content and some good advices I like to sneak away with :) keep it up!
The bi color version is less beight than the normal fs300?
It is, but you would never be able to notice it by eye! There both really bright!
@@random_realities thank you. Where i live they are both the same price!
how much run-time do you have with that powerbank at full 300W power ?
The one I have is super old so at max power it would only last like 30 mins but if you stay around 25% power it last a lot longer!
Thanks for your speedy reply! just ordered a fs300b 🤩
@@MihaiBivol no problem man! You made the right choice, that lights awesome!! 😎
