I've always loved the EDT more, because of the cacao note & the more prominent lavender. It truly is more versatile, but you have to go heavier on the sprayer, if you want to have it last all day.

Weak but stays better then the Intense, the Intense loose also Iris smell after an hour and smell like choclate but has nothing to do with Iris. So the Original is the same when you compare

So odd, here in Canada I can't find Dior Homme Intense, as if it doesn't exist. The only option I've been able to find is Dior Homme. I owned a bottle of Dior Homme Intense that I got in Paris back in 2012-ish. By far one of my favourite fragrances to date. Highly recommend!
I recently got some vintages of the Homme Dior line,among them a batch from 2007 Dior Homme with the silver stem and damn!! gorgeous,gorgeous and long lasting.I wore it today for work and I was getting whiffs all the time for several hrs.Also found a Dior Fahrenheit,200 ml from 1992.Happy New Year everybody

Dior Homme Original EDT (2011) is up there with them, not only just because it's so much more wearable, especially in a place like Athens 🇬🇷 where winter is a joke that lasts two months, but mainly because it still manages to keep the precious DNA of the most wonderful fragrance line ever created. I am a teenager ,and i LOVE Dior homme intense!!!!! Dior homme intense is something different for me, the scent it's richer, darker, sweeter and more attractive ,which is better for me. I personally think, DHI can be worn by a young man , but he must be dressed formally or at least not something that is too casual!
First! I love my Dior Homme Intense! I should probably buy a backup bottle. The bottle I have now is from 2018. I love to wear DHI but only because I can't get my hands on DHO. I do have a very small amount of a 2014 formulation of Dior Homme in a decant but rarely use it because I have do little.

Anyone can make reviews in which is stated that Sauvage, La nuit de l'homme and Bleu de Chanel smell good. Of course those fragrances need to be mentioned and I understand that you cover those as well. But where you take us in those other reviews is more exciting and let us taste more than 'meat and potatoes' Today I tested Dior homme original (the 2021 one). It developed fantastic on my skin (really dig the lipsticky opening) and I will buy it tommorow. What do you recon? Can I enhance the performance of Dior homme original with some ambroxan or iso super-e? Two weeks ago I blind bought Narciso Rodriguez blue noir edt because of your positive review. Intense for life! The EDT doesn’t even smell much anymore. The previous version had much better projection and notes… the 2020 version, not even worth it. Been wearing it for over 10+ years since high school 2006-2008.

Always an asterisk. Wear only in the winter time, be warned it smells like makeup 💄. Enough... no one is making these connections aside from you. Get the big bottle and enjoy year round.
I did know Dior homme was reformulated til yesterday, I almost cried when my hubby opened my present :( new 2020 is not bad, but it's not like the old one. Now I'm thinking to buy new intense if it is more similar to original homme than it's this 2020.
I figured from the beginning you would take the original :) hehe. I’m gonna be looking for another bottle soon. The more I could get my hands on the better. I would say I probably prefer it as well. As for the new one, 2020, ironically, I don’t find it that bad. It still smells nice, but it is something different and it’s not like the other stuff in their line. Anyway, yes, I am someone who would take the original and place it in a top 10 for life list, always.

I was lucky last month when I found in an Italian shop the last bottle that they had of DH the OG (150ml). It was a no brainer! I'm not so much into the Intense, but I really like also DHP (stocked on it). I have never tried the 2011 formula sadly. But the 2020 formula compared to Intense version is a disaster in my opinion. They modernized the dna in the worst way possible by Iso E Super and Ambroxan to my nose.

I have older batches, 2 bottles each, of Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense, and Dior Homme Parfum. My faves, in order from the older batches, are Dior Homme Parfum, Dior Homme (OG), Dior Homme Intense. All need to be applied with some restraint as they are all quite powerful. I have no interest in the new formulation of Dior Homme. Thank you for your insight Josephine :

I followed your advice, and finally, got EDT original from Dior France. It really smells captivating, but the projection is very weak max 1 hours, at least on me. I’m glad you like the way it smells! I would layer it with Escentric molecules molecule 01 (iso E super) to boost your fragrance. Better longevity with it too
Bro it is weak indeed, same here. It last just an hour and after that its a skin scent and I dont smell iris at all. More something sharp like Bleu Chanel after dry down...verry bad for Dior and the price
Can you help me find a link to order the original? I went on Dior’s website but it only gives the option for Switzerland orders. And if it’s impossible to order in the US, is there a close alternative? Is the reformulated version just not even close to the original?
Love the original Dior Homme range. Both are amazing, the Intense version is best for colder months. But the real bad boy has to be Dior Homme PARFUM...(Jus de rose you need to review it!) The Parfum version adds rose and leather notes and is incredibly powerful and masculine IMHO.
Josephine - great video. I love Dior Homme. I have the original Olivier Polge 2005 version with the silver stem, I have two (thank GOD I bought a backup bottle) 100 ML bottles of the Demachy Dior Homme reformulation in 2012, and I have the original Dior Homme Intense (Polge) and the reformulation by Francois Demachy in 2012. I personally prefer the 2012 Demachy Dior Homme version. I find it a tad more masculine than the 2005 version. I prefer the original Dior Homme Intense version by Olivier Polge. I do like the reformulated Demachy version, but the original with the silver collar was the best to my nose. If I had to choose which one I personally prefer, it's Dior Homme. Dior Homme is such an elegant and beautiful scent. It's the scent I've worn when I am wearing a beautiful Italian suit and want to pair it with a Swiss watch, Italian leather shoes and Tom Ford framed glasses. I am still annoyed Dior dropped the iris-based fragrance, but I am fine as I knew this would happen one day!
I know some men say they don't like Dior Homme the Original because it smells like lipstick; therefore, not a manly scent, but I think it's great to smell like Dior Homme the Original. Why wouldn't you want to smell like a woman was just kissing you!
The performance of DHO is lacking IMO. The cardamom and iris are noticeable and it is a very enjoyable fragrance. The DHI I find it has more depth it is a darker and sweeter version with beast performance. I enjoy both but due to performance issues of DHO I prefer the DHI. Can go wrong with either though.

She is talking about Dior Homme Original which smells just like Dior Homme 2011. The Dior Homme Intense is the 2020 version, which should smell more or less like the 2011 DHI.

Dior Homme Original is fantastic didn't rate it at first but it's grown on me. My only regret was getting a 50ml bottle. Parfum is nice too.

Hi! Yes I’ve tried Valentino Uomo, and although it has similar notes to Dior Homme original it’s very very different. Nothing beats Dior Homme 😁

I have older batches, 2 bottles each, of Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense, and Dior Homme Parfum. My faves, in order from the older batches, are Dior Homme Parfum, Dior Homme (OG), Dior Homme Intense. All need to be applied with some restraint as they are all quite powerful. I have no interest in the new formulation of Dior Homme.

Jus, greetings from Germany. Fist things first, your recommendations are very helpful for anticipated P. customers, like me. I need your recommendation. I followed your advice, and finally, got EDT original from Dior France. It really smells captivating, but the projection is very weak max 1 hours, at least on me. Is that normal? any recommendations for extending the longevity and especially - sillage? thank you in advance!
I’m glad you like the way it smells! I would layer it with Escentric molecules molecule 01 (iso E super) to boost your fragrance. Better longevity with it too

Bro it is weak indeed, same here. It last just an hour and after that its a skin scent and I dont smell iris at all. More something sharp like Bleu Chanel after dry down...verry bad for Dior and the price
Now I am really confused. Dior website only had Dior Homme. Not Dior Homme Intense. I got a sample of Dior Homme and it had me at the first sniff.

Can you help me find a link to order the original? I went on Dior’s website but it only gives the option for Switzerland orders. And if it’s impossible to order in the US, is there a close alternative? Is the reformulated version just not even close to the original?
Love the original Dior Homme range. Both are amazing, the Intense version is best for colder months. But the real bad boy has to be Dior Homme PARFUM...(Jus de rose you need to review it!) The Parfum version adds rose and leather notes and is incredibly powerful and masculine IMHO.
There seems to be a lot of love for the Parfum! I may do a side by side comparison for all flankers 😊

Josephine - great video. I love Dior Homme. I have the original Olivier Polge 2005 version with the silver stem, I have two (thank GOD I bought a backup bottle) 100 ML bottles of the Demachy Dior Homme reformulation in 2012, and I have the original Dior Homme Intense (Polge) and the reformulation by Francois Demachy in 2012. I personally prefer the 2012 Demachy Dior Homme version. I find it a tad more masculine than the 2005 version. I prefer the original Dior Homme Intense version by Olivier Polge. I do like the reformulated Demachy version, but the original with the silver collar was the best to my nose. If I had to choose which one I personally prefer, it's Dior Homme. Dior Homme is such an elegant and beautiful scent. It's the scent I've worn when I am wearing a beautiful Italian suit and want to pair it with a Swiss watch, Italian leather shoes and Tom Ford framed glasses. I am still annoyed Dior dropped the iris-based fragrance, but I am fine as I knew this would happen one day!
I know some men say they don't like Dior Homme the Original because it smells like lipstick; therefore, not a manly scent, but I think it's great to smell like Dior Homme the Original. Why wouldn't you want to smell like a woman was just kissing you!
In fact I like to wear Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme with Dior Homme Original.

The performance of DHO is lacking IMO. The cardamom and iris are noticeable and it is a very enjoyable fragrance. The DHI I find it has more depth it is a darker and sweeter version with beast performance. I enjoy both but due to performance issues of DHO I prefer the DHI. Can go wrong with either though.

which one are u mentioning here ,i checked on fragrantica there are two original -dior homme 2005 and dior homme 2011 , which one ? and then there is two intense version 2007 and 2011 , either fragrantica is misguiding or i m confused
She is talking about Dior Homme Original which smells just like Dior Homme 2011. The Dior Homme Intense is the 2020 version, which should smell more or less like the 2011 DHI.
