I have to say, I am so glad you included the clip of my reaction to Bilbo saying "the eagles are here". That is probably the most powerful moment in these movies for me, as up to this point, I had made it a bit of a recurring joke of "Gandolf, that is your answer to everything!!". So when Bilbo says that to a passed Thorin, it completely broke me. Beautiful moment in the movie!! EDIT! - The Reacter Role-call at the end was so good!! Thank you!!
Yea. It's heartbreaking. A very bittersweet moment. Coming in to save the day but at a big cost. And I loved doing that role call. Took a long time editing wise but it was worth it😄
I just realized how Thorin in choosing not to help the people of Dale in their time of need, is how he became like King Thranduil. When Thorin and his people were in need of aid, Thranduil refused to help. Thorin resented Thranduil for that and so Thorin had become the thing he despised.
So.. does it make me a bad person that I was the only Reacter that.. kinda agreed with Thorin about not helping the survivors? Haha! XD These have been an absolute treat, my friend! Thank you so much for including me in this mash up, it was a real honour! I actually plan on checking out the Animated movie soon (the clips you showed from it got me very interested). I get that not everyone likes these movies and that there are plot holes, etc. But I have to admit, I enjoyed every minute of watching them :) Apart from the spiders scene.. .-.
Once again, you're welcome. It's been an absolute honor putting you here. And same I point the issues with these films, but I love them. 💙 and you made a solid case for siding with Thorin. And you gave a interesting perspective so be proud of that😄👍.
When I first watched the movie in theatre, I agreed with Thorin's logic as well.. He didn't have any other choice but to offer a share in the wealth.. And, technically, he didn't offer to "pay" them.. He simply promised to restore Esgaroth's significance in the trade route..
The light in Galadriel's hand as she drives off Sauron is not Nenya, the Ring of Adamant - it is the Phial of Galadriel, in which is captured the light of Earendil's star, which in turn contains the light of the Two Trees of Valinor, from the First Age (several thousand years earlier). This is the same phial of liquid that she later gave to Frodo "to be a light in dark places."
Jackson apparently wanted to create an actual war scene would look like, with no time to mourn? Just a few minutes ago Dain and Thorin were having the most casual conversation in the middle of battle...😆
So many comments, so many thoughts come to the fore. But I shall try to be succinct... As much as I enjoy the movie itself, THIS time you struck the perfect balance between reactor comments and the scenes. I was delighted to see the tongue-in-cheek humor that real fans enjoy when we lovingly tease a family member - there were even some points where I enjoyed the reactions more than the movie itself! You have also introduced me to a new stable of reactors, and I shall be subscribing to them all in due time. M&M, I have nothing but gratitude toward you for your prodigious talent, and this labor of love you've shared. As with LOTR, the Hobbit is now part of our fan experience. I can still remember the theater when Billy Boyd began singing, and feeling sad because now the story is finished. But seeing you, and the reactors, and the other subscribers and comments here, I can sincerely say "Narn u-i methed, u-no cirar" (The saga is not ended, it is not too late)!
Something I never noticed in this scene at 1:25:45 because of Legolas being GOD and running on falling rocks but, Legolas eventually does a real-life pro wrestling move called a hurricanrana...like this man pulled a whole wrestling move on an orc and I'm honestly here for it.
If I'm not mistaken, Legolas weighs like 10 lbs. or so, that's why he can walk on the snow in Lotr, can run up falling rocks and many more interesting agility techniques. Him using the bat to fly around with is a good example, bet that thing weighs like 50-70 lbs. tops and it is easily navigating through crevices while holding him. Weird little bit of info for anybody that's curious.
Im coming at this in good faith so please dont misundestand me as responding to you in any malice. I do appreciate you trying to give an answer 👍👍 For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction, when you walk you put equal force on the ground and the ground likewise puts equal force to your foot. Well with the snow its giving enough force to his feet and isnt moving unfortunately because of the rocks falling and in freefall, it cannot give enough force back to legolas's feet so unless he's literally weighed nothing, this doesn't work. And you just gave weight guesses so he does have some sort of weight and we can see he does have weight of some sort in the films so we know he doesn't weigh nothing.
In the animated version of the Hibbit seven of the dwarves died including Bombur and as a kid who hadn't read the book yet I was assuming that in the book most of the dwarves died and I was shocked to learn only three died. Also after seeing Rings of Power I wish the Tolkein Estate would just give Peter Jackson permission to do that Silmirillion Trilogy he wants to make but I know it won't ever happen.
It's been a hot minute since I've seen the cartoon but 7 died? Wow. Wonder why they did that. And you poor soul you had to be exposed to rings of power 😆😆
@MixMatch53 Yeah after Bombur dies in Bilbo's arms and the scene transitions to Bilbo speaking with Gandalf Gandalf mentions that once Thorin dies only six of the main dwarves will be alive meaning seven of the thirteen died. I don't know why Rankin Bass did that but I'm assuming it's because most of the dwarves aren't super important to the overall story (which is partially why I don't mind Kili and Tauriel's love story) but I don't know. Also I had high hopes that Rings of Power would be better than I expected it to be but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad.
I guess that makes sense. I need to rewatch it at some point. That film was basically the beginning of my Tolkien journey as a kid. And yea at least that show is being obliterated right now 😂
The opening of the film where the second film left off was the fact that Smaug went to destroy Lake-Town but, Bard the Bowman had the guts to destroy the Beast with the last of the Black 🏹 and thus; the Beast was slayed and demise, but, The Battle of the Five Armies was on the way
A great quest. New friendships. Good winning out over evil. Blood, guts, gore, violence, war, death. Ah, they just don't write children's stories like they did back in the day.

I still like these movies but some combat scenes make my heart bleed... :/ elves jumping over the dwarven line of spears, dain literally headbutting orks without a helmet, etc. but there still are tears flowing down my face upon thorins death each time I watch the movies again.
Imma be real tho it is a fantasy movie you aren’t supposed to take it seriously and yes that is a valid excuse why this movie gets so much unfounded hate is beyond me
No its not as valid as your think. Being a fantasy movie doesn't mean everything goes. The movie doesn't begin and end with "oh its just fantasy" it's still a story that is a sequence of events linked to one another binded by cause and effect and can be broken and has been broken in this movie which is why it's so flawed and I do love these movies. You don't have to care but you can't just treat like the problems don't exist and just hand wave it away as "unfounded hate" since it hurts discussion when someone wants to talk about the good AND the bad.
I had doubts about Martin Freeman as Bilbo twelve years ago, because the only things I ever saw him in before this were Love, Actually and two episodes of the Office. And there is no word in the English language that will properly describe how much I DESPISE every fucking thing that Ricky Gervais does, so I didn't want his stooge playing Bilbo Baggins. But, luckily, Martin Freeman turned out to be pretty much perfect.
That staff was the same design of the first movie The Fellowship of the Ring. So he did keep it but used a different crystal to make it work better for him. Not in the books but in the movie
Except the arguements made were within the rules of this world of the films and the inconsistencies within and not from the position of realism. And being a movie is not an excuse to break said rules. Nice try😉
"Nice try"? As in "I am right and no one can challenge my opinion"? I've watched 10min of this, and there's already too much sarcasm in your compilation. I am so glad I was able to enjoy the movie. Must be devastating to be a know-it-all.
Did not say that. Stop being disingenuous and putting words in my mouth. And i did not say to not challenge my opinion. I welcome it. If this is your attempt, you are doing poorly and well you already proven being disingenuous since you only watched 10 minutes which is up to you and i wish you enjoy something that makes you happy, but you have a very narrow space to even complain if won't even bother seeing the rest of it out of spite. However if you do finish it and still don't like it, you never have to see it again.👍 What I said specifically that arguements made in the video against the film were within the world of the film and its rules NOT from realism. And what makes you think I did not enjoy the film? I loves these films. But I'm not gonna be dishonest or silent about the issues in these films. And since you only watched 10 minutes you missed the praise for this film too AND the 1 song mashup at the end i edited together showing explicitly the joy of music. Or when i inserted quotes from the book, or when I used Gandalf's eulogy from a deleted scene during Thorin's funeral. But I guess you only hyper focus on me being a supposed know it all. Must be devastating to ignore context to make yourself feel better.
Entertaining. With an exception. I was watching to see reactions to a movie. Not someone trying to make their own by adding clips endlessly. Constant scenes from other films and shows, crude artwork, long essays on why part of the plot was completely wrong, etc. etc. etc. Mix & Match, you are not Peter Jackson, and neither are any of these people, so everyone quit pretending you are anything like him. We are watching to see what you think about his movie; when you can pull in a few hundred million dollars, then we'll consider watching what you make.
Im glad you found it entertaining but please hear me out because i understand where you are coming from but i just need to day my peace out of good faith as possible. When did I ever say I was Peter and trying to pretend i was him or any of the people in this claimed to be? And it's not like the man is flawless by any means, he had his pitfalls with these films and I and others I edited into this mashup are not afraid to point them out. I aimed to make the video more entertaining and engaging and it includes the "long essays, crude artwork(which btw if i know what you are talking about aren't mine, it came with the video I grabbed it from so if you want to blame someone, blame the people who gave their art to RandomFilmTalks vido on this film) scene from other movies some were there to be funny or fit the theme with the context of the scene played, and some was due to fight copyright which seems to be a factor people seem to forget, and the long essays are not really that long if this video is under 2 hours so its bearable at best. Or even if there is anything wrong pointing out issues with this film which btw isn't very good but I love these films so don't misunderstand me please. And I'm curious when you said you are watching to see what i think of his film, when that has been covered through those essays about stuff not making sense, video clips from other films, etc. And I find it worrying that you think having some sort of voice is to have a few hundred million of dollars when people had less and still can get whatever they want across around the world And all this was so I can stand out as a channel since idk if you notice, but the reaction mashup niche on youtube is getting crowded so I'd have to do it differently so I don't just fall into generic because there are channels out there who do less effort and work and are more popular than me. And If these exceptions really ruined your experience, fine. I'm sorry you didn't have enough fun like I intended and ypu dont have to see these again, but these mashups was made out of love for these movies in my own way I know how, and I understand it's gonna rub the wrong way for some and that's fine. I can't please everyone.
@MixMatch53 They didn't ruin the experience; I've watched the 6 videos. But I do skip forward a lot when your subjects go off on tangents. I want to see the looks on their faces and hear their exclamations to experience their reactions as normal people. Some of them just get really "artsy" as if their own creation is the point of the reaction, but it isn't. By default, you catch the annoyance because you put it together. I can either blame you or the Icelandic People's Freedom Party, and you're more convenient.
While the dwarves look for arkenstone Thorin: Comb the gold pile! *Black dwarves with fro pick* WHY DONT YOU GET YOUR KINGLY SELF DOWN HERE AND LOOK IF YOU WANT IT SO BAD
Dude come on. Pointing out this obvious flaw is not a lack of imagination. And this is not a valid argument. Him being an elf is not an excuse for ignoring physics of this world. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction and the rocks are literally falling so that scene is impossible since the rocks cannot give the equal force back to legolas's foot. Unless his mass is literally zero which we know is not the case.
Did you have to cut the part where torin sounds like the dragon when he says "I will not part with a single coin" as the dwarfs march off to man the gates because of copy rights?!
Yea man. Seriously, Warner Brothers did not want this video to come out. It's pretty clear. It was a cool scene and I wish I can add it, but blame Warner Brothers. I had to fight the system for weeks. Also it's "Thorin"
Nah it's as confusing as it was. There wasn't even five armies in active combat all at once in this battle. And that one orc army from gundabad was a nonfactor and was destroyed by the eagles and beorn instantly
That's accurate in the book. The movies presented 6. The orcs had 2 separate armies. Even explicit in the film when Legolas said "there is a second army". And still, 5 armies were never in active combat at the same time.
@MixMatch53 except that it's still orcs... Azog is the field commander of one and Bolg of the other. Both came from Gundabad That'd be like saying Thorin and co and Dain are two different armies which would be absurd
@@MixMatch53Damn...I really don't know how you do this so well. I feel like...I feel the same way I felt after I finished your Lord of the Rings mashups. I can't explain it. It's just this...feeling. I mean, it feels like sadness, but I'm not...sad, you know? It's the best way I can explain it. Does any of this make any sense? Anyways, I'd give you a round of applause if I could. Wonderful work as always
Gonna be honest, getting kinda annoyed with this "Random" guy... lol Like I fully acknowledge that the hobbit films have their flaws, but holy beans is he obnoxious about pointing them out Yeah, I officially don't care for "Random" just on his condescending tone and air of superiority
Sorry thats how you feel. I do think you are being a bit unfair. Only a bit. I do understand what you are saying but even if he is obnoxious and condesnsending, I don't see anything inaccurate in what he said at all. Even other reactors agree on some of the issues in the movie on their own so its not like he's 100% alone. And trust me I edit him down here so this was tame. And I do feel like if you went to his original videos and hear him out fully, you'd understand his attitude and frustration of this trilogy. Sorry he annoyed you though, I do get it.
Except I love these movies and have lifted them up and I still put out criticism of the films and have to put them down since there are flaws with said films
😂 what are you talking about? Lazy this is not. This is way more effort than just putting them all in one screen and calling it a day. Heck the quantity of these videos I make takes way more effort and takes longer to make than the style you suggestion which btw other channels pump out like a few times a day/week. So no you are just wrong. 😂
Glad you liked it but that's really uncalled for to called those people idiots. They were provided just as much commentary as everyone else in this video. And it's not even true they are idiots since they gave insights on the movie and the books. If it's their presentation that bothers you, ok fine i understand, but there's nothing wrong what they did.
@@SophiesDriver well since I edited the video, no he didn't. He made it better in many ways you'll probably will never understand which is fine. He ruined your experience of my video which is fair to say so sorry you aren't able to finish the video and I hope you enjoy something that gives you more satisfaction.👍
Well too bad. I put them in and they will stay in. It was my choice and I do love these films, that doesn't mean they are going unscathed. Either argue with the references of the criticisms listed or just don't bother.

Really???? Better check out MCU & Sherlock!
@@conniegaylord5206 I'm talking about before I saw this twelve years ago.
That staff was the same design of the first movie The Fellowship of the Ring. So he did keep it but used a different crystal to make it work better for him. Not in the books but in the movie
@MixMatch53 thank you for adding in Random into the reaction, i loved his videos on the hobbit trilogy
Me too. It was very entertaining to put him in this mashup
At the end of the day, please keep in mind, espacialy the critics of "realism" in the movie: Yes, it is a movie and not a documentory 😉
Thanks my guys, you are legend 😎
You're welcome 💙👍
I like to think that the pause before Bard said that they need to find shelter is because he thought it was incredibly obvious what they needed to do.
Probably.
i wonder what series he has in store next.
Who knows? I got plenty of ideas👀
A partir de ahora creo que vere la trilogia de El Hobbit en estas increibles reacciones del canal. Muy divertidos todos como siempre
And I find it worrying that you think having some sort of voice is to have a few hundred million of dollars when people had less and still can get whatever they want across around the world
And all this was so I can stand out as a channel since idk if you notice, but the reaction mashup niche on youtube is getting crowded so I'd have to do it differently so I don't just fall into generic because there are channels out there who do less effort and work and are more popular than me.
@MixMatch53
They didn't ruin the experience; I've watched the 6 videos.
Whatever works for you i guess. Just so I'm clear about what I said.

Like being part of their livestreams or as a host? No. I just used clips from one of their videos
That Random guy doesn't seam to like fun at all
Or maybe fun is not relevant since he was critiquing the film. Or maybe he was having fun. Trust me, my edit made this tamer than his actual video
I think Smaug was the king of dragons. That's why he can talk and other dragons can't talk
He was not
@@JustAShyGhost why is it that the dragons that join the bad guys can't talk. like the witch King's dragon can't talk

Legolas is an elf. There was nothing unbelievable with the stone-jumping for me. You nerds need to develop an imagination.
@@MixMatch53 that Sucks balls
No kidding. But I'm still happy with this edit. 👍
How are you feeling now it's done and out M&M?
Relief, satisfied, tired. Lol
Am i the only one who thinks they call it 5 armies is because there are 2 orc armies along with 1 for men, elves, amd dwarves? Or am i the only one
Nah it's as confusing as it was. There wasn't even five armies in active combat all at once in this battle. And that one orc army from gundabad was a nonfactor and was destroyed by the eagles and beorn instantly
Facts that's why it is so weird
What's confusing about it?
Elves
Men
Dwarves
Orcs
Eagles
5
That's accurate in the book. The movies presented 6. The orcs had 2 separate armies. Even explicit in the film when Legolas said "there is a second army". And still, 5 armies were never in active combat at the same time.
@MixMatch53 except that it's still orcs... Azog is the field commander of one and Bolg of the other. Both came from Gundabad
That'd be like saying Thorin and co and Dain are two different armies which would be absurd
First 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Gonna be honest, getting kinda annoyed with this "Random" guy... lol
Like I fully acknowledge that the hobbit films have their flaws, but holy beans is he obnoxious about pointing them out
Yeah, I officially don't care for "Random" just on his condescending tone and air of superiority
Cheers mate. I get it. Loved your LOTR vids, been waiting for these ever since. Keep up the good work
and in all honesty, I don't disagree with his points(except for one), just the manner in and tone in which he presents them
I will. Definitely has more content on the way music mashup wise👍 movie wise it's gonna be a slowdown for a while
Random is the best reactor on this mashup... he's the voice of Tolkien fans watching this abomination of a "film".
Stop putting down the movies if you're not a fan don't watch it
Except I love these movies and have lifted them up and I still put out criticism of the films and have to put them down since there are flaws with said films
Bruh why don't you out them all in one screen? This is plain lazy
Great compilation, except for the couple of idiots who appear like cartoons and think everything that happens in the Movie is funny.
@randomft ruined your video. Thumbs down, turned you off at about 59 minutes
@@SophiesDriver well since I edited the video, no he didn't. He made it better in many ways you'll probably will never understand which is fine. Please stop you Vicious criticism it's terrible. If you Don't like You should not participate in the madh up .😮
Well too bad. I put them in and they will stay in. It was my choice and I do love these films, that doesn't mean they are going unscathed. Either argue with the references of the criticisms listed or just don't bother.
What is that animated shit? Its so annoying
Well 2 are from other creators channels, and one is from How it should have ended(hishe). And they were reacting to the movie just as much as everyone else. Though I am sorry you found it annoying
The funny thing is the opening scene is directly from a Trump campaign speech.
Ok?
