Yikes, I’m a Sr PM in a ginormous corporate monolith and have never used most of these tools. I suspect the startup tech stack & ecosystem is just quite different (potentially better!) Learned a lot.

Harshi, grand hustle, great content, and the best thing I like about your videos is when you add silly and cute actions like your doggy walk (LOL). I know I am late but I want to congratulate you on your 6 months journey to becoming a PM, I am sure you might have faced a few difficulties and would love to know more about them 1. Maybe 3 major roadblocks you faced during your preparation and how you tackled them. 2. What would you do differently if you have to crack the interview in 2 months rather than 6. ) P.s One thing I learned from your PM journey video is that apply early and don't wait to perfect your answers. Thanks again for making beautiful and useful content.
hehe thank you, I appreciate it! and thank you for the two questions, I'll see how I can factor them into a future video (maybe about the interview or application process) and i think my main learning is to just start doing mock interviews as soon as possible, even if you don't feel 100% ready :)
@@harshibar yeah so true, I have realised the same and thats why on day two of my study for PM I have given my first mock and it was an amazing experience. Waiting for your video or mail on the above questions. Keep growing and keep hustling. Av
We use Coda for all of that as Coda is meant to replace all these tools as an all-one-doc :) but yes, it is a little odd to not use Jira like 98% of PMs
@@harshibar Yeah, i can understand busy life 🙂. Thanks for your message. Regarding videos, i would love to see below : 1) A video on your latest updated studying productivity tips .. Because you might have changed the apps to new apps you using i guess 🙂as i know you keep experimenting with apps 🙂. 2) A day (Weekday) of your life video , how you manage both work, study and home , how you spend time all day managing the work. 3) Finally day (Weekend) of your life video, how you spend time on weekends , along with any study you do on weekends. Thank you so much for asking, Here is my above list videos i would love to see 🙂
What's the advantage of using loom vs using something like Google meet and record your meeting and sharing that recording? I assume you can do the same with zoom too.
For me, the main benefit of using Loom vs recording a Zoom call and sharing it out is that (1) it's hard to share long video files through Slack and (2) it's hard to get feedback on the recorded video itself. It's really easy to share video links in Loom right after you record, so it's just one or two fewer steps to record something and quickly share out with your team.
Hey Harshibar, wonderful content on your channel here. I'm a mechanical engineer in a plant. One of the issues we have is task planning and job tracking because things move around a lot. I'm looking for a very simple and visual app (nothing complicated) for assigning and tracking tasks, reminders for rescheduled tasks, and basic stuff like that. Do you have any recommendations? Most tools I see are doing a lot, and I'm not trying to complicate things for my team. I just want to make the work process easier for them.
We currently use Google workspace. Imagine I send an email for a task that needs to be completed in 2 weeks. I'd have to note it down for later so I can search for that email amongst the hundred I've sent since. Then send a reminder on thread. So many things fall through the gap this way. I just looking for something I can recommend to my company that will work with the Google structure they already have.
Hi! Thanks for your kind words! Hm, based on what you described, Trello might actually be a simple starting place. Trello is basically a kanban board, so you can write and assign tasks in little cards, and move them around your board based on their completion status. You can think of it like a simpler version of Jira. Also, Zapier can be a great tool you use to link different apps together, such as Gmail and Trello. For example, if you have a keyword in an email or 'star' an email, that can automatically add a new Trello card to remind you to take a look at that email.
Some video Requests I have how to get a Job as a PM, How to excel in that role, why does a PM have to do somany things. Uh! Basically anything related to PM Since You are living that life daily. Maybe Slowly make this channel PM Niche

Hey, don't you use Jira or Confluence? Or any other Atlassian products for managing the project?
