Nice work ,perfect
Nice video! I fixed mine like new! I bought this model back in the late 80's and put it on the shelf several years back when it became really loud. It still worked well but couldn't deal with the sound and bought a Dewalt about 10 yrs ago. The Dewalt now has a bad bearing and just ordered a bearing off Amazon to fix. I decided to take the Makita apart and didn't find anything wrong, cleaned it up and put back together and same loud noise. I took it apart and could see that the feet that hold the pad base were loose in the tracks. This video shows the same thing, they slide in and are loose. I believe when new there were rubber or perhaps some adhesive to hold in place to minimize moving and rattling against the sander frame. That rubber most likely deteriorated over time and was gone. I used JB Weld to anchor in place and now is like brand new! It works great and is quiet. The only bad thing is it can never be taken apart again but oh well, don't need to take it apart again for another 30 yrs!
Nice work sir... Thanks for watching
You are a artist, muchas gracias from México.
Thank you...
Great job sir! I've had model # BO4552 since 1990 and as a pro I and helpers have put thousands of flawless hours of use on it. I'm needing to replace the cord on mine. I broke mine down removing the visible 8 screws but I couldn't get it to split in half. I came here for that and I found out how by slowing rhe video down ro 1/4 speed by use of the 3 dots settings adjustment found in the top right corner of every RUclips video
I wouldn't trade mine that's over 30 years old for another brand that's brand new. Makita broke rhe mold when they made my model BO4552, it's a workhorse and has never gotten hot or failed me!
Thanks for watching sir. Good to hear that this video helps you. Had my own struggle when first time opening this.
@@lansdiytopro5334 Hah, glad to see you figured it out. I probably would've broke it while splitting it in half if not for you.
Thanks again, I've got cut the cord back at the tailpiece and rewire it next day or so. Mine finally shorted out a few days back while making shelves for my wife.
How can I slow this video down to be able to view easier
Never mind!
Wer mk nuy ng piyesa sira kc lalagyan ng liha
