Great analysis! As always Ian did excellent job explaining the key features, stressing what we, the amateurs, should pay attention to. I absolutely love your way of teaching. Thanks a lot, ET team!
You miss several items that could have been pointed out as to why it was not perfect on swing both examples technically. Let me know if you want to learn to analyze her swing a little bit better.
@@caryoulwhitty Can you comment on what I said. The reason why it's not a standard 2-handed backhand is because of her position the a big clue why it's not standard is the fallow-through. She was not in a perfect position. If your using a visual aid make sure the form is exact. Serena had to make some adjustments to make that shot and that is not a good demonstration.

Serena uses a lot more of her left hand in her backhand than I thought. No wonder it's so good.
I just wanted to say that this video has really helped me with technique in tennis.

Beautiful setting!
Great analysis!!
Get some kickin background music and you've got an audience member:). Your next vid should analyze Venus backhand!
Ian, I take it you hit a closed stance backhand?
First comment? Helpful vid! Liked the different style!!
When she is playing hard she does not drop the racket so much with her backhand. Or maybe I am wrong about that
she doesn't seem to look at the ball on impact. Opposite of Roger Federer who keeps on looking at the impact point even after the ball impact

@@tonyaquinoxx you said for him to ask you for help with analyzing players. A tad patronizing...
@@caryoulwhitty No, I'm sorry, I was not asking him for help. I was just pointing out how he could be a better teacher.
