- This video documents my solo thru hike of the Southern Upland Way in November 2020. It was tough going, with Storm Aiden hitting hard, and temperatures dropping below zero, making for quite a heavy pack with all my winter gear.
This section records my account of the trail between St John's Township of Dalry to the Daer Reservoir, which marks the official half way point! The weather was terrible, all my gear was eaten by mice (DON'T EVER CAMP NEAR A BOTHY), and the winds were consistently above 50mph. Whilst it was some great 'type 2 fun', I'm sure the trail would be much more hospitable at other times of year. But what a fantastic journey. Part 3 inbound.
