Ms Anjiara how are you. One question when doing ribbon embroidery. if your ribbon is finished before the work is done. How do you join the ribbon. Thanking you.
I'm fine and you? When doing ribbon embroidery, if your ribbon runs out before you finish your work, you can join a new ribbon using a few different techniques:
1. **Overlap Method:** Cut the new ribbon and overlap it with the end of the previous ribbon by about half an inch. Secure the overlap with a few small stitches using your embroidery needle and thread, making sure to hide the stitches under the embroidery.
2. **Ladder Stitch Method:** Thread a needle with the same color thread as your ribbon. Bring the needle up through the fabric where the old ribbon ended and down where the new ribbon will start. Then, bring the needle back up through the fabric where the new ribbon starts and down where the old ribbon ended. Repeat this process, creating a ladder-like stitch to secure the new ribbon in place.
3. **Whip Stitch Method:** Bring the needle up through the fabric where the old ribbon ended and down where the new ribbon will start. Then, whip stitch around the edge of the ribbon, catching both the old and new ribbons with each stitch. This method creates a decorative border between the old and new ribbons.
Choose the method that works best for your project and provides the most seamless transition between ribbons. Experiment with different techniques to see which one you prefer.
