Arrange marriage is very common here in the Gambia. Even for the locals here, dating is not a criteria for marriage. If his family knows you guys have been messing around, you're mostly not gonna marry him.

I swear I was just talking to my wife about this 2 days ago. I have a young very beautiful cousin who met an African man who was a physician and lived in Germany, they were married. It took about a year before his abusive side came out. Her parents had to retrieve her. Culturally too different. A personal friend did the same back during the Black power movement, changed her name and went to Africa. It took a little longer, but back to the states where she remained. Very different expectations. We have western indoctrination, don’t be stupid, study the culture.

Oshay, this was a great video and I myself visited the Gambia for 2 months. I met a Gambian guy and he was a narcotics officer. Very intelligent, articulate and fun to be around, but I quickly found out he was verbally abusive when he would get upset. I was not trying to control him or anything for that matter, it was simply him and eventually we parted ways. To be fair, passport brothers are doing the same exact thing and traveling to other countries looking to mingle and marry women they wouldn't give a 2nd look at in the states. In black America our sense of marriage and family has been broken for a long time now, whereas in Africa, the Caribbean and Asian countries where some of our men marry from, they train their girls to be wives. I have a young very beautiful cousin who met an African man who was a physician and lived in Germany, they were married. It took about a year before his abusive side came out. Her parents had to retrieve her. Culturally too different. A personal friend did the same back during the Black power movement, changed her name and went to Africa. Oshay, this was a great video and I myself visited the Gambia for 2 months. I met a Gambian guy and he was a narcotics officer. Very intelligent, articulate and fun to be around, but I quickly found out he was verbally abusive when he would get upset. I was not trying to control him or anything for that matter, it was simply him and eventually we parted ways. To be fair, passport brothers are doing the same exact thing and traveling to other countries looking to mingle and marry women they wouldn't give a 2nd look at in the states.
