- According to recent reoorts, however, neither Resident Evil 1 nor Resident Evil 5 is being remade. As per prominent insider Dusk Golem, the developer is currently working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil - Code: Veronica (which, as per the insider, are two among five Resident Evil games that are currently being worked on, Resident Evil 9 being another one).
Other reliable sources like IGN and VGC's Andy Robinson have also corroborated Dusk Golem's claims, which means it's looking more than a likely at this point that the next remakes we see from Resident Evil are going to be ones that not many would have expected to see.
Re 0, 1 and code Veronica needed the remake treatment far more then 4 did
That is true, however I do think they should wait to release RE1 Remake until 2026. CV and RE0 will be great games to hype up other games like RE5, RE9, and a possible RE1 remake.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X, Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil One needs to be like Resident Evil 2, 3 & 4 Remake. Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 and Resident Evil Outbreak File 2 need a remake as well.

I actually believe Capcom will do Dino Crisis at some point. Remaking is easy money and people EVERYWHERE is asking of it. And their fan service has been first class.

My biggest issue with Code: Veronica was the aiming. You can only aim as accurately as you can in the first three games, except, for some reason, in CV you have to be aimed precisely at anything to hit it. This makes Hunters nearly impossible to hit unless they're right in front of you about to decapitate you, and flying enemies are annoying as well. Also, everything respawns and there's very little ammo. I just hate it so much. But I can tell that deep down inside, beneath all the weird design choices, there's a decent little game. A remake would be nice.

Personally I’d love to see Code Veronica remake done with love and excellent quality like RE2 and RE4 remake and I’d love to see the music be done beautiful like it was in the RE4 remake. I especially can’t wait to see my two favorite RE villains return (Albert Wesker and Alexia Ashford)

imagine re2 played coop with both players doing separate things on opposite sides of the rpd and occasionally cross paths.
Fixing that story to make it not so cheesy will be tricky.

RE 5 is the highest selling RE game. And it has Chris, one of the most popular characters and Wesker, the main RE villain. of course we will get a remake

Well, I love code Veronica, a good game, lots of puzzles, great locations, and areas to explore also backtracking a must for any resident evil game I hope it nothing like Resident Evil 3 remake which was a crap remake took alot of content out and extremely short plus hardly any puzzles only 3 main puzzles again so important for resident evil fan so hopefully it will be like resident evil 2 remake which was spot on and even resident evil 4 remake extremely good to play hopefully dino crisis will be next but as a remastered version.
My favorite RE game of all time next to RE1 remake and re5(Mercenaries ALONE makes it unbelievably replayable)
Honestly i think part of the reason they haven't done 1 again is that they'd probably have to find a way to have a definitive ending instead of the multiple that you got

I’m hoping forA/B campaigns with Chris and Jill that ends with all four characters on the helicopter. I also think a third Wesker campaign would be fun.
All I would love is If Capcom announces Resident Evil : Code Veronica Remake for the PlayStation 5. I would love to see a Remake of Resident Evil 0 It's wonderful but It's apart of the Resident Evil Origins Collection on PS4 which can be played on PS5 while Code Veronica is on retro gaming consoles only. Also before anyone says yes we all know emulation is a thing. I have used it to play some overrated N64 games and yeah they were overrated for sure. I love Resident Evil and I hope Capcom continues giving us fans more games. Cool video. ^_^

RE4 was released on everything and had more re-releases than Skyrim and that got a remake.
I think the reasoning of their remakes isn't just for money grab(idk about RE3 though), i think the overall goal here is to reshape and modernize the story necessary for a "reboot" of RE6. I they'll be rebooting RE6 not remaking it, i think the story is trash and it's an action game without any shade of being horror game.
if you think of it that way it'll make sense, not just simply remaking classic after classic just to get easy cash without futureproofing the franchise.
p.s.
i think they'll change the ending of RE5 a little bit for Wesker to make a potential comeback in the future , they may have realized that killing Wesker is a loss to the franchise , he is one of the best if not the best well written villain there is, not only he can back up the hype behind he's character fighting him in game and playing as him in mercenaries is a great thing to experience.

hold up when it comes to remakes you dont want to take things out of it but add new stuff to it but still keeping the original game intact just like the game cube remake when it comes to zero the option to switch between both Rebecca and Billy I really like that feature because its Unique not just that you could Exchange items and ammo health you take those things out its just another resident evil game as the other ones and not Unique anymore

I don't really think it matters if they remake them in order of number. I think they should just remake them in order of warrant. In my opinion, Code Veronica is warranted next. It still feels like its too soon to remake RE5 even though it could be done so much better. Maybe in a few years, but next should be CV.

Code Veronica is a better game than 3 IMO; it's lightyears better than 5. RE5 started the whole downturn for the series. RE works best with horror elements, not boulder punching.
