I had same problem after a little crash. I tried everything for several hours. What was really helping was tapping the gimbal (not the lens) with the back of a screw driver for about 30s. Then it was really working again. I think something was stuck. I checked all cables and connectors but they are fixed really good and had no problem. I coulnd´t believe that tapping helped. The video comments made my day :-)
I have had the same issue and there was no solution until I oppened the drone and reconect the sticks of the gimbal. When I did it the gimbal worked properly

Hello I bought a used drone because mine fell but because I had too many extras I decided to get the same one It makes me the same problem While it finds satellites, it goes up to 14 it turns out that it can't fly. I managed to throw it away after calibration but it is unstable and the rixon trembles. I've seen it and it doesn't have any software upgrade. What can I do ?
Good evening Matthew, thanks for taking the time to ask for a solution to your problem. The only fixes to the gimbal issues that I have been made aware of is the very dodgy one of gently tapping the gimbal with the handle of a screwdriver. Be very careful not to tap your camera lens. This initial fix for my issue was by Fimi themselves, it worked. It seems to work for other people, but I'll repeat BE GENTLE and carful NOT to hit the lens. Repetitive gentle tapping seems to free up something. This is not a guaranteed fix. It may be worth contacting Fimi customer service if you are not happy with my suggestion. I have to say, they were very good and very fast with their solution. Just send them a quick video if you can of the issue. Good luck.

if still happened like this,go to settings try to do the compass calibration first then go to gimbal calibration maybe it will help,cause it happened to my drone,and I fix it by doing those steps,try it!!!

Hello. Sadly I had to return the drone to Banggood. Their customer service is terrible, they are no help whatsoever. Whenever I emailed Banggood, I just got back a generic computer generated email, not even a real person answered the email. How I know this is simple, a friend of mine also purchased one of these drones from Banggood, a week before myself, his arrived all in broken pieces. He had to inform Banggood and received the exact same email responses as myself. Anyway, if you return the drone like myself, they will request you send direct to China, even though it is highly likely that Banggood sent it to you from their Spanish distribution centre. This is a technique Banggood use to avoid import taxes etc, so be warned. If you do return it make sure you send on a tracked service. Again Banggood will only pay a small amount towards the return shipment for damaged goods, not as per their return policy. I returned mine at a cost of £70, to which Banggood stated they would only pay a maximum of £30 towards the return shipping and then only when they actually received the item back. My friend also had the same response. Now when you return it, there lies another problem, Banggood give basic instructions where to return it. Both I and my friend know a little about postal shipping. We completed customs forms etc, which Banggood never mentioned. Nevertheless even with customs forms, both mine and my friends drones have been held by Chinese customs. Good job we paid the additional for tracked delivery. In brief, I ended up raising a dispute through PayPal, Banggood couldn't even be bothered replying to PayPal so I won my dispute and got my money back from PayPal. I'm only telling you all this for you to be prepared for a bit of a battle. Clearly Banggood are corrupt and I will be staying well clear of them from now on. I did contact Fimi direct, who answered my emails very quickly. They acknowledged it was a mechanical hardware issue and not a software issue. Unbelievably, and I'm serious, I can forward their emails to you with their final idea on trying to sort the gimbal before returning to seller. They actually suggested hitting the camera gimbal with the handle of a screwdriver as something might have snagged in the gimbal. Knowing that if I did this and the gimbal were to break, I wouldn't then get any money back. I cut my loses and returned it. If you try the hitting (tapping) with a handle method, would you let me know please how you got on. Kind regards.

I notifed them of the fault, now they are playing silly buggers in refunding money or helping. I contacted Fimi direct, very good customer service, so far! Respond to my email in a timely manner and are trying to rectify the fault. I 'think' it must be a hardware issue rather than a software. Still not fixed. Fimi have asked for the details from the flight log, that was a very small file as it's never flown. I'm assuming a hardware issue because of the request for flight log and request of photo's of all sides of the drone incl photo's of the screws at the bottom of the drone. All suggests they think it's either been crashed or tampered with. The saga continues. Thanks for suggestion of the fimi x8 group.
Well mate, i bought one of these drones from bangood , kindly dispatched by the seller from spain , but he's Chinese living in china. It was broken , arms, controller cables a pile of pooh. What a pain to try and get recourse from bangood. A saga too long to comment on. Buy at your own peril you have been warned. If not for paypal i would have lost more than the cost of shipping the pooh back to china which was £75.00 . Do not buy from them you have been warned.

They suggested tapping on the gimbal with the handle of a screwdriver, being careful not to hit the lens. I didn't fancy chancing that incase something broke, they certainly wouldn't have accepted a broken drone back. I just returned the drone and got my money back. I have heard since, that tapping gently would free up the gimbal. Be very careful if you do try the tapping method.

I actually returned the drone and got my money back. Even though I had an issue, some of my friends went ahead and bought one regardless, thinking the fault on mine was a one off. Two of them had the same issue as I had. They tapped GENTLY with the handle of a small screwdriver and bingo on both occasions worked a treat. If you go down that route make sure you stay away from the lens, for obvious reasons. I can only draw the conclusion that when shipping, the vibration and knocks that they get in transport, causes something to stick. Good luck. When they work, they are seriously a fantastic drone.

Merci d'avoir pris le temps d'envoyer un message. Malheureusement, il n'y a pas de pièces détachées disponibles pour le cardan. Le cardan est une unité complète. C'est pourquoi j'ai rendu mon drone, je n'ai pas voulu prendre le risque de taper sur le cardan, comme suggéré par la FIMI en cas de casse.
gps 0315 d’accord je vois Mercii de votre réponse, je trouve sa dommage qu’on ne peux pas juste remplacer la lentille qui est juste fissurer alors qu’il n’y a presque rien à faire pour la changer à mon avis je ne sais pas msis je pense, Mercii encore et bonne journée cordialement 😊

What do you mean by tapping?
I did uninstall Fimi Navi on the phone and reinstall it. Now it is working.

mine says GPS error, please restart drone. restarting dosent help. it also says unable to enter GPD mode, please be careful.

What happen???the drone get crashed?
The drone is brand new, never flown. This is how it worked straight out of the box. Latest firmware update made no difference.
