- Check it out! The D12 is here and is a cool scale rig. The drifting potential is there. Just need the right tires for the right amount of grip. I have been experimenting with it already and it does drift but it's not as easy as 4wd power sliding. Stay tuned for more progress on this one!

The prices are different depending where you are from. I actually received it as a test unit from wpl so not sure of the price in your area.
We used to own one when I was a kid living in the PH. I'm waiting for it to arrive and painting it green like the old one we used to own.

Brings back memory of my youth. Dad had a white one with the cargo roof. Suzuki Carry. I think the spare tire is causing it to get stuck on the gravel.
nice! yeah i think the tire does hinder it a bit on the gravel.

Thanks brotha! Its pretty good and you can start getting it sideways real easily with some tuning of weight distribution. It has good enough power for some drift action.

The official store is open from noon NewYork time today 3rd September 2020, is $29.90 us plus carriage direct from WPL. (It opens 2am uk time on 4th September and is £22.49 plus carriage for UK followers of your channel)
@@krgoodjohn Not familar with the term "carriage" but I assume its a UK term for shipping. I just checked the store and for the US, the truck is $29.90 but the shipping is $35.00. I love the truck but will wait till all this shipping stuff gets sorted out.

here in the Philippines we call it multicab or easy ride. Its nice to know you are from here too.
Multi cab..multiuse,i have exactly same.its 4wd, 3 cylinder and open bed.used to haul video game machines and as a float in parades.i ordered one and will make it look like my old multicab.
just got mine. can't wait to test it out. For batteries, maybe cut a hole and load a big battery in the bed hahaha :) definitely more drive time

yup common in most Asian countries because it is practical and useful. We don't have much of them here.
What metal driveshaft will fit this? All I can see online are for 1/16
The WPL 16th scale axle and driveshafts will fit. its a small 10th scale because it is a Suzuki Carry.
hey awesome video. Question: they're advertising a smaller 1/16 version of this but there are no measurements. I'm afraid of ordering it, and getting the 1/10 version. Do you know if there's actually a 1/16 version of this?
I think WPL only has the 10th scale. The Suzuki Carry is a small truck so maybe some sellers are labeling it 16th scale? It uses WPL 16th scale rear axle.

Dear Sir, I’m from country Sri Lanka. I’m planning to buy this cute-thing in the near future. I have a little question for you. If a reasonable weight is added to the back of the truck, will the truck smoothly drive in off-road environments, without its wheels getting stuck and rotating at same places ???
this truck wasn't really meant for off road. It's 2wd so it will struggle. You can carry some stuff in the back it has enough power but not for off roading. Rear axle is solid spool style.

I have my own D12, but ever since I bought it, it's not running properly.
After charging for 2 hours or more, It blinks right away after 2 mins of using or so.
Please don't tell me to replace my batteries, because I already did, TWICE!
3 chargers and 3 Batteries after, It is still the same. :(
possibly a bad esc or a bad lvc. Sounds like a defect. If you purchased from WPL directly I would contact them and see if they can help.
I´m so sorry that your desire to let us see it running led to that...wall interface incident. I´m glad the damage wasn´t worse.
how long will it be before we start seeing all sorts of wheel & tyre options for this?
Though I understand the disappointment felt by Guruh Maulana , there could be a demand for an affordable RWD truck of this size - as it´s a 1:10 scale model of a very small truck, I should think most of Kamtec´s vast range of hard 1:12 scale bodies could be persuaded to fit this chassis, which opens up all sorts of scale model-making possibilities!
I see some people getting other bodies on here for sure. Well now that I crashed it I can drift around without worry now hahaha.

I never really tested the max distance stock. I went with my own electronics. It should go a decent distance for its size.
Motor should have been constructed in the rear end of the truck since it’s only rear wheel drive for more traction
I was suppose to buy the Wltoys a979b. Until I saw this one, which looks really nice, so Im not sure if Im getting this one or the Wltoys one lmao

good one out the box. This D12 is just nice and scale but can be modified as well.

if theres plastic below the rubber, cant you just take the rubber off and drift it like that? ;)
Sure but I think the rubber is glued on so it might get messy. I am trying pla filament and petg to see if I can tell a difference. Too slippery with pla so far.
Everyone keeps talking about drift but then say they don’t know what they are coming out with. My thoughts are that they are coming out with a drift model but told people that get these vehicles not to say that until they tell you that you can. Correct?
We really don't know what they plan to come out with. Its a drifter or a scale rig but not sure how they are going to advertise it as and if it will cone already kitted drift spec from factory or even maybe two versions.
Is the c44 km 1/10th scale?
1/16th
It's in the 16th scale category but the scale is a little off on most these things.
C44 1/12 according to measurements (and C24 is 1/14)

Hmm... Not gonna lie, but its kinda 'toyish' rc car than hobby grade mini scalers. Look at the tires, kinda let down, and damn that 2wd / rwd lol. Hope wpl make another awesome offroad or at least 4wd rc cars next time.
I agree, but it's never stopped aftermarket parts being made just like all the other WPL series.

This WPL toys are crap.They have bad mechanic, easily breakable plastic and this non proportional transmitter is piece of shit!
