I've already bought two big bags having faith that one day either my experiments will be right on or someone will straighten me out. Thank you Padhus, if that is your name. Sorry but I come from northern Alberta, Canada. Also, I have been soaking and heating the nuts and didn't know what to do with the nuts left over. Now I know... just keep using them...alright!

It is a delight to watch your video and hear your calming voice explaining everything so patiently. I am a herbalist and I wash all my tools and utensils with Reetha. While washing, I collect the reetha water and use it to wash the floor and stairs. Thanks for the guidance on using in washing machine. So far I was just soaking the soapnuts in water overnight and then use that water to soak clothes in. But I haven't washed my precious clothes in it so far. My concern is doesn't the brown water leave stains on light colored clothes coz I faced that?

So fortunate this plant is common in and native to South Asia! Excellent video presentation - succinct and well-timed demonstration of the process. I first encountered these amazing berries in a silversmith's shop who used it to wash to recycled metal. Would you say the combination with bio-enzymes would be safe enough to use on marble/granite worktops or floors? - at a certain concentration perhaps or is there some other non-toxic preservative that could be used, to avoid the reetha solution from being stored in the fridge? (Ordinarily. citrus juice extract -like vinegar can 'bleach' and erode marble).

You cannot use the water extract of soap nuts for washing light or white color clothes, since during washing these clothes get new brown stains from this soap nut extract. May dark coloured clothes can be washed. The usage of soap nuts has in vogue in AP and these are called Kumkudi kaya. It used more as a shampoo than for fabric washing agent.
