Yes, this is so true! Backsliding is a slippery slope! It happened to me, very subtle, slowly over time...and then 20 years goes by, but The Lord pursued me! He has wrapped His arms around me and forgiven me. I am so grateful for my salvation and going forward with Jesus!
This happened to me too! 20 years passed and I was consumed in sin. Finally the Lord woke me up and I’ve confessed my sins and am walking with the spirit stronger than ever. Praise the Lord and have Mercy on me lest we fall. In Jesus’s name, Amen 🙏🏻

This happened to me too.. Saved 7 years ago then backslided for a long time after a good foundation.. 2021 God started to open my eyes again and really getting a hold of me.. I'm not perfect but I'm with christ again.. Re - dedicated my life to Jesus.. He never let's you go..salvation in Jesus alone.. That's wer I'm found in Jesus.. In the arms - God the father.. Through the door-Jesus..in the power - Holy Spirit.. Glory to God

What is temptation in Gods eyes? 1John5:18 tells us that “IF” you are Born of God you don’t sin... We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, e and the wicked one does not touch him....
We are perfected in Christ and fall short of nothing. Everyone WHO IS NOT Born of God falls short and has Sin...
@@258269 You are a fool if you believe you no longer sin. All Christians will still sin because we are still in this fallen, corrupt body. The flesh and spirit will fight and we will still fail at times because we are in these bodies. It is the consequence of Adam and Eve's disobedience that death comes to all men because all sin. A Christian's Spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit and the Spirit can no longer sin. However, the flesh will still sin and it is why we must die to be with God; To get rid of these corrupt sinful bodies. We will be given our perfect, glorified bodies that will match our Spirit and never sin again.

Amen! I backslided for years from God for years, sinned willfully and felt spiritually dead.. I decided to have a tiktok and after a while I started seeing many Christian videos, it got me thinking and I decided to come back to God.

I needed this just as I felt I was backsliding yes I’m young but I thank God for bringing me closer to him at a young age. I find myself to comeback to sin and Pray God forgive me then I feel guilty I don’t want to continue to sin. I don’t want to let God down that’s something I don’t want to do. I’ll continue to pray on it everyday. And for anybody that’s going through something just Know God not giving up on us. Sometime we just got to Accept Gods love even if some circumstances are rough and Hard and The devil tries to Temp you but our God is Powerful and Loving. And I’m saying this and learning at the same time. God I pray you continue being on this journey with me.

LeVar First let me say to you don't ever let anyone tell you because of sin you are farther away from the Father IF you are born again. Because of our guilt, it may feel that way. But the truth is all believers still live in a body made of flesh. The apostle Paul teaches that the nature of sin dwells in the flesh of everyone, even believers. We are new creatures IN Christ on the INSIDE. We can have victory over sin when we walk in the Spirit, but in 1 John it tells us when we sin we confess our sins to God who is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us. Be encouraged that you can REST in God's promise of eternal life promised 4 times in John 3, 2 times in John 6. I hope this helps

I know that I’m in a safe place with my Christian brothers and sisters so I’ll open up. I’ve been caught in an addiction and a breakup and I’ve never felt further away from God. I’ve pushed him away and tried finding my own ways to fix my problems and they just don’t work. I’m ready to get back with God again though, please pray for me.

Temptation. We are faced with it daily. Often countless times a day. It takes a daily dialog with God through prayer to deal with it. Just recently I am really beginning to understand that it takes prayer many times a day to cope with it.

I'm a backslider, I've been on drugs since I was 12yrs old. I had a really rough life after my grandma passed away and I thought I had no one who would show me love again. Then one day(April 4, 2006) While attending Sunday school with a friend. I couldn't wait for the preacher to stop so I could "get high". Then ALL THE BAD THINGS I HAD EVER DONE,THOUGHT, OR SPOKE of was brought to my sight. And my friend said you need to go up there, please no one will think bad of you I promise. So I took 1 step and it seemed that way it I was at the alter. When I stood up I was changed. Didnt want or need my old coat because I had a brand new coat made just for me. And I had ups,downs, happy, sad times but I wasnt alone and I knew I was loved unconditionally. And up until 4 years ago I was in and out of church. One service I missed and instead of having church they had a town meeting all about me n my battle with drugs. I felt so betrayed!! But it's been 4 yrs since I've stepped foot in a church. And I long to in the presents of the lord and know 100% that my sins as far as east to west. Please remember me when you pray. Ask the lord to give me another chance. Thank you for your time. My heart breaks for you ..I don't know how right I am about this but it could possibly be that the gathering they had was to help you ..not harm you ...Satan has a way of twisting things around so that you believe the worst..and sperate you from your church family.. Remember, the enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy your soul..Ask our Father for direction ...The body of Christ is here for supporting each other ...I know you are hurting but receive His blessings ...Nothing is too big for our Father..

I will pray for you, this road to heaven is hard but remember God is with you every step of the way. I have back slide in my life too, but God has been there to protect me and keep me and my girls from harm. Praise God to the highest. Please talk to him often, pray often, sing to him what you know and believe to be the truth.
How are you doing now? Are you ok?
Do you feel sorry for your offense to God? Do you feel humble before God? If the answer is yes to both of these that is very good. You do not need any man of earth to help you. You do not even need the church at this time. You need to go to Jesus and ask him in desperation to forgive you and that you may walk with him again. Read his word, speak to him from your heart and with honesty. I was saved at 49 years old broken on my knees in pain in every way possible (alone in a rental home bedroom). It was my prayer to Jesus that he reveal himself to me. Prayer made in utter desperation. And save me he did and he broke me from decades long addiction. This is my personal experience. Also never in the Bible did God turn one away any truly born again who went before him with humility and in great desire to turn from his sin. Remember that and trust in who God really is.
As a former gang member I always believed in Jesus but never seeked him. Jesus never left me. He helped me overcome addiction and alcoholism. Only by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus I’m saved. Amen 🙏
For God did not send His son to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.

LORD, please forgive me for my sins. I'm a Christian (albeit still human and prone to sin when i'm not being very careful) but had backslidden into an unrighteous relationship. I’m with you, on that food one, so many people over look it, it’s really bad… I think just try to use a small plate when you serve your dinner that really helped me out.
I admit I was a backslider. I dabbled in witchcraft, I was giving in to my addictions and I was in a relationship that had no relation with God. I repent Lord and I give you praise My God. As soon as I made the decision to put you first and seek righteousness, you’ve gifted me with so much wisdom and discernment. This is a growing process and I’m thankful for your grace My King. If any come across this message today choose God do not turn your back on God because he hasn't turn his back on you. Heaven and hell is real. You won't be singing the same tune if you do not make it into heaven. If you do not know God this is the time and place to know him before it is too late. I have fallen 15years ago, but feels so sorry when I sin,but the joy of my salvation I don't feel it anymore,the devil keep on blaming me that I have sinned against the Holy spirit,so there's no forgiveness for me anymore.please remember me in your prayers.
It is the trick of the devil to tell you that you've committed the unpardonable sin so that you can give in and he can take advantage of you. Resist him, reject the thoughts. If you're still feeling a conscience towards God, that's proof enough that you've not committed the unpardonable sin. The apostate will not care and will not know.
Return to the Lord and you will be built up in Him. May the Lord lift you up and stabilise you in Jesus' Name. Amen.

You are right all these church leaders won't even step down and do right they keep going on putting on a show for people and. God warned of this and we must put God above any thing or any one. And they continue to live a life of sin
Ive wrestled with this... many sins with women, wronged people i cared about, and worst of all transgressed against God. The feeling of this is the worst
Yet, He said he would never leave us, nor forsake us. He died for my sins, was buried and rose again.
None of us can keep on sinning in the way we do, it tears apart our soul and we pray, confess our sin and repent. He is faithful and just to forgive us/cleanse us of all uncleanness.
See if you have a true conversion from God. Then. There has to be a change the desires if your heart change. And you don't do the sins no more and your live for him grows daily and you can. Live above sin that is in his word
You will always sin saved or not....we can strive not to sin but can't lie to ourselves that after conversion we don't sin.

I also add to that you must HATE your sin. I really have come to the point when or if I wilfully sin (and yes we are all capable f it I would challenge anyone that says that they do not) I HATE IT, the sin, it makes me feel disgusting and as though I have let the Lord down. This is why I repent!

The Lord woke me this morning around 2 am and took me to Jeremiah 3:14 first calling me to repent from backsliding in my prayer life and to interceed for my brothers and sisters who are backsliding.

That's a LIE! No One is dirtier than I right now! And I'm reaching for God with all my might. As weak as I am right now.
I was so energetic and I am strong in the faith back then but now I have fallen away and I have no idea on how to go past this trial or test. I was so happy and I had a huge faith and I have noticed that I have slowly backslidden to the point that I am willfully sinning. Please pray for me to break this wicked habit and to be able to overcome the burning arrows of the evil one and to be renewed once again and to be happy again. I have gotten so confused now and I am so lost. I dont know what to do. Rain pours down and rivers will flood over and winds will blow hard against both the foolish and the wise man (Matthew 7:24-27) I just hope that I am able to endure the hardships and all the troubles. But I just cant seem to control myself. I want to do the things that I want to do but I just cant seem to do them. But instead I do things that are opposite to the things that I want to do. Amen. ...live right with God and let his miracles flow through your life. ASK for miracles, and ONlY BELIEVE. If u doubt it won't happen. "Yes, I have experienced miracles by the Grace from Jesus". If you don't ask you don't get anything. A lot of Christians limit the capabilities of God almighty, our Father, King of the universe. Our words have POWER, use them to Glorify God and Jesus.

Is it too late for me ? I backslided for over 30 years . I made horrible choices. I was beyond broken . For the past couple years I've tried to make it right with Jesus . I'm trying very hard to make my life right . I pray and thank the Lord every day, I repent and ask forgiveness. Will he take me back ? Or am I at a point of no return? I cry alot over this .. I'm terrified. I'm not going to give up regardless. I'm just trying so hard to redeem myself.
The fact that you grieve over your spiritual condition is evidence that you belong to Him. If You belong to Him then He hasn't given up on you. There could be many things in a person's life that is the cause of where they are today. If you haven't already pray to God and ask Him to give you discernment and reveal to you WHY you are struggling.
DON'T GIVE UP!! I messed up too and am going through it in my heart as well. Let us keep praying and repent from sins. Don't give up!

@marcieetzweiler8027 Luke 8:11-15 it describes this in a parable and some with the prodigal son parable. Plus I believe we are welcome back with open arms , it's learning how to stay on the straight and narrow that is hard . I struggle with anger and impatience and also overeating. I have warped humor too. But I am working on it. It's very hard. I will pray for you for sure. I've seen Christians say it took them decades to get it right . These things take time but thankfully God knows us and how long it takes , he is patient.

How come all these backsliders are able to get back so easily? I have done EVERYTHING POSSIBLE the past year and all I’ve done is end up in two psych wards. I’m in a terrible state, no longer feel human - just evil, utterly tormented with evil. I don’t know what else to do?

I backslide the same year GOD saved me. I ran back into an old fling and resisted him one time after that i kept putting myself back into the same compromising situation and soon after kept giving in. I went from reading my bible every day all day and praying to not reading or praying at all. after seven years and 3 children we finally got married in 2009 and I thought that was it, now I would be able to restart my relationship with GOD, but now 13 years later and I`m worst off then I was before I was saved. I suffer from demonic attacks something that never happened to me before I was saved and did not start until shortly after I got saved, and these attacks actually stopped the whole 7 years before me, and my husband got married. I don`t know if anybody else can relate to these spiritual attacks, but if so please if you can tell me what to do. I pray GOD will lead someone to this post who can help me.
Ok, I will pray 🙏 for you and I was in a similar situation and fell away from GOD. I was attending church with my girlfriend and we were living together and the church found out and asked us to leave because they didn't want sin upon the church. Stopped reading and praying but my girlfriend did not. I got onto drugs, alcohol, and smoking, cheated on my girlfriend and this went on for months. Felt a tugging in my heart from GOD. I kept ignoring it but in August 15th 2017 my son was killed in a car wreck. That woke me up and I confessed everything to GOD that I was wrong about turning away from him ( GOD ), also confessed everything to my girlfriend and she forgave me and we got married and been serving GOD since. Here's my point: go to GOD and cry out to him. He knows it anyways but he wants to hear it from you. Let him know that you messed up and beg for his forgiveness and to restore your heart, joy, happiness and faith. GOD says that he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins if we confess our sins. Any unconfessed sin is an unforgiven sin. GOD can't forgive your sin unless you call out that sin. Good luck to you, will be praying 🙏 for you and your family. GOD BLESS

I keep falling back into my porn addiction and although I’ve already gotten rid of other addictions amd I found those easy such as weed and worldly movies/music this one keeps lingering and I fall back into it time and time again and I repent every time I do but I just feel what’s the point I basically keep spitting in gods face and I hate but I still seek him nonetheless at least the good outweighs the bad but my spirit is willing but my flesh is still week. Maybe I need deliverance?

Hi sister in Christ Jesus. Recently God opened my eyes to see how our enemy will use people to attack us.(family friends and so-called Christians) . When the demons whisper things in people's ears and they don't acknowledge that, they will use other people to attack you. Stay strong sis, Jesus loves you and I love you too. usually when you're attacked like that, means you must be doing something right for God......just tell em you love em. Yes, do the "opposite" of what the flesh wants you to do (cursing and doing bad things). When you love people it returns on to you from God almighty and Jesus. That's the JOY of JESUS!!!!!!!

I know this is 2 years ago but I remember I was 12 at that time and didn't take this type of message with heed and I backslid for two years😔 I went back to sins Jesus saved me from and felt so ashamed to even repent because of my many sins and deeds. But this message really helped me, and I dont ever want to run away from Jesus again!

I need to get the weak places in my spirit strengthened because I’m willingly back sliding at this point. I constantly ask for forgiveness but I have no control over my fleshly desires. Lord please help me.
We all go through short comings but these habitual clockwise behaviors are toxic. 3 months on fire. A month cold. 4 months on fire. 3 weeks of sneak drinking and smoking. Makes me physically sick 🤮 Holy Ghost arrest my spouse
