ironchopsticks: you're right about holograms detracting from the clothes- but it was brilliant nonetheless!! I give this concept kudos, the video is just documenting it.
That was freakin' amazing! Just goes to show how advanced technology in holograms is, kinda like those little hand held things in Star Wars. Seems those times are not far off
the full holographic theatres are in full swing, and are fully programmable to whatever or wherever you like, in the crystal cities that exist within Inner Earth. To Agartha!
@lovelydiva06 We never imagined things like the internet or cellphones to be possible 100 years ago either. And look where we are now. Technology develops faster than anything else in the world. And this might not be too amazing from what we expect lately, but the technology has to start somewhere. And I like how they did it.
the first song is a redone version of the knifes "heartbeats" the second song being played is Ellen Allien & Apparat "Retina" third song is Simian Mobile Disco "I Got This Down" forth song panda bear - comfy in nautica the very last song, i have no idea. im assuming something composed for the show.
just wait our skies aare turing into this huge holographic screen, you can expect what is coming next right.. research people wake up the future could of been our ages ago.. Love you all.
"Obi Wan Kenobi- you are my only hope". Here's the science bit. Are these holograms being projected onto a glass panel, water vapour or what? Very impressed, but I'd like to find out a technical explanation for this imagery.
The Catwalk is surrounded by large transparent glass walls in a 45 degree angle and the images are reflections coming from a lcd display hiden below. No holography there. Just 2D images floating thru their reflection on the glass... Disney did it for the ghost saloon in Disney World in the 50's.
i absolutely love this idea, it's cool and progressive. The holograms give some mystical twist to the quite normal clothing. I think the designer should have chosen for normal haircuts and more expressive clothing, but that's all my opinion. The holograms kind of outshine the models..And also the music sometimes was a bit too much techno, which is annoying to listen to if it hasn't got a good sound. It could be better!
i just noticed what your name said.. haha funny.. thanks you too.. This weekend im going to costco and buying juicer and new blender.. I'm given up all processed food. ok trying. :O) i challenge everyone to stop buying from fastfood resturants, its killing us along with just about everything else outthere we continue to buy. Anyways ponder how deep this can really go and may Love fill you and not death food and drinks. ~holly
yeah, definitely. there should've been a more of a holographic and model interaction or what the models wore should've been similar to/contrast/etc the holograms at least, for the sake of co-cohesiveness. the holograms were impressive nonetheless.
The traditional poses and stiffness of the models doesn't compliment the fluidity and complexity of the holograms. A good idea but the pairing needs much fine tuning.
Well apparently ppl don't know about haute-de-couture. For the ppl who dont kno means high fashion. Almost every high fashion designer if u haven't noticed does some artistic form of there design. If you haven't noticed in the fashion shows they show weird stuff, that normaly ppl wouldn't wear outside. Its just an artistic form of what is going to be out that season. Its up to the ppl who r there to figure out. weird but tru.
when that happens, advertisers will be buying sections of the sky to smear their holographic advertisements of things like pepsi and corn chips, both of which, i will be buying as a result ;-)
@SILVERSURFING514 in the video, spacially at the beginning, is clearly seen a semitransparent brownesque screen amidst the runway, in this screen the images are being projected, its is not 3d neither 4d it is just a plain proyection onto that screen.
exactly. We're not there. not even close. To me, if it's not "present" in 3d, then it's not a true holograph of what is being shown. And 2d holograph was first done in the 19th century. You think we would've advanced a little by now.
mmmm wasn't that the purpose of the show? focus more on the holographic figures, i think the models were there to make the show more interesting, not everything that a designer does have to be focus on the cloths .
Wow! What a technical tour-de-force! But what's the name of the scruffbag "designer" who sloached onto the stage with a pair of air fresheners? "Diesel" is right- perhaps he works ina garage in his spare time He ought to be ashamed of himself.
lol. I like my weight, and I don't know what being rich or poor has to do with this. i'm guessing you just felt like taking a random shot in the dark to make yourself feel better? My comment was meant to be taken with a sense of humor. I know the fashion industry effects females in very negative ways. It actually causes most of the eating disorders we have today. Besides, is the idea of a holographic model that far fetched? The focus of this show was the holograms not the clothes.
The "holograms" may have seemed dimmer in person. i bet sitting in close to the stage the graphics where less intrusive as well. people sitting far back still got a show tho. The could have droped the parts during the walks and just kept the parts for the change. He needed better models too. One male model in particular looked very ridged and awkward. From what i could see of his face he looked uncomfortable or nervous. I'm not sure what was going on, but he looked untrained.
Have you ever heard of subjectivity? It doesn't matter what you think is music because it wont be to someone else and vice-versa. The shit you listen to does absolutely nothing different in your brain then it does to someone who listens to something completely different that they like.
its like were at the zoo right and all the signs say "Do not feed the animals." Same notion. resist. thats stuff is like drinking bleach for our bodies. Arggh. thanks Peace and Love.
If he wants to make art then this is great...but if he's trying to sell the clothes then he kinda failed, because there are no focus on the models that are wearing the clothes. It feels kinda wrong in a way...it doesn't match.
models are glorified mannequins. the main purpose of shows are to look at clothes and style. the designer is what's important. pay attention to the person behind the curtain.
too much techno???, that´s not even techno music, i hate people that catalog every kind of electronic music as techno, it´s so tacky and so ignorant ...
Who cares about the fashion? This holographic wonders are much better, I love it!
The technology was really wonderful. Well, the clothes were nice.
ironchopsticks: you're right about holograms detracting from the clothes- but it was brilliant nonetheless!! I give this concept kudos, the video is just documenting it.
I had the same feeling while watchin this clip. Especially for those side turns.
doesn't bother me... it still looks of the hook... AWESOME!!!!
That was freakin' amazing! Just goes to show how advanced technology in holograms is, kinda like those little hand held things in Star Wars. Seems those times are not far off
cool music and cool show!
I love the blue light!fantastic
This is out of this world, incredible! Hope someday to be able to make effects like that myself
i love "I got this down" the 3rd song yayyyyyyy

j'adore le geste du manequin dans 3mn 5sec .. le défilé est surement réusssi meme si j'ai vrément pas regardé les vetement des modelistes

I like this, beautiful, good idea for a fashion show!
that's great!!!! (though i don't remember ANY of the clothes)
SPECTACULAR!
reminds of Macross Plus....at the Sharon Apple concert!
the soundtrack is amazing
"Obi Wan Kenobi- you are my only hope".
Here's the science bit. Are these holograms being projected onto a glass panel, water vapour or what?
Very impressed, but I'd like to find out a technical explanation for this imagery.
that song kicks ass...REMIX of HeartBeats by the KNife~
I LOVE DIESEL

Interesting, a very cool effect!
soo beautiful.and the music is perfect!! haahha i love the end too!
Also, I was wondering, is there glass or is it being projected in the air? It looks like there is glass, but it's hard to tell.
Awesome man!

Heartbeats is by Jose Gonzales...
Great... really! so cool
Are they projecting the light into a screen of smoke? If so, how do they confine the smoke to one area.
i just noticed what your name said.. haha funny.. thanks you too..

SOMEBODY KNOWS WHAT S THE NAME OF THIS MUSIC , SOUNDS GOOD
yeah, definitely.
there should've been a more of a holographic and model interaction or what the models wore should've been similar to/contrast/etc the holograms at least, for the sake of co-cohesiveness.
the holograms were impressive nonetheless.
This is so cool!
Who's the guy at the end/??? He looks cool!
that version is just a cover of the knife. an acoustic one at that, which sounds nothing like whats in the video.
The traditional poses and stiffness of the models doesn't compliment the fluidity and complexity of the holograms. A good idea but the pairing needs much fine tuning.
Haha, I don't :) That's the thing. We haven't got there yet.

I think the holograms look great but when you pay more attention to the holograms than the clothes it's not a good thing!
brilliant !
@SeikenBeloved Whatever it is, it's awesome!
@WestIndiesTempo That's what we do - search for HoloMedia in Google
Panda Bear - Comfy in Nautica
when that happens, advertisers will be buying sections of the sky to smear their holographic advertisements of things like pepsi and corn chips, both of which, i will be buying as a result ;-)

oh i see. oh the deceit! also the cameraman seems to be following these 'holograms' rather than the models....
cool!
what mix of the knife is that?
What are the names of the last 2 songs?
lol i want to get one of those for my hall way
Agreed.
What name of song in this show???...
It wod have been beter if the clothes matched the theme.
wooooooooooow
how to make and create holograms ?
anyone know the tune at the 3 minute mark?
Whats that song playing from 5:05-07:30?
I agree

laugh now, but one day they'l be in charge
good luck with that, i have given up fast food. and my name?
No creo q deban ser llamados hologramas... solo son imagnes proyectadas en un vidrio. No en el aire o algun otro gas.
holy cow :o
Share your photos (night life snaps, concerts, hipsters pics) with us on facebook. Find Diesel FFF Invisible for some.
well, the colours and the 3d-ness kinda is holographic-esque... you got a better example, do show..!
Oh god, is it pathetic that I recognize a song playing at a fashion show? The Knife isn't that bad of a band... Is it? O_o;;
lol. I like my weight, and I don't know what being rich or poor has to do with this. i'm guessing you just felt like taking a random shot in the dark to make yourself feel better?

yeah my family has banned them too. good luck have fun.

The art = awesome
The 'catwalkers'= shitty. A few were really walking like 'uuuuh what, oh right turn... and now.... walk... ok...'
I agree awful those motels are terrible have they never walked a runway before geez
I was gonna say, didn't look holographic to me!
its like were at the zoo right and all the signs say
"Do not feed the animals."
Same notion.
resist. thats stuff is like drinking bleach for our bodies. Arggh. thanks Peace and Love.
ops!
Project Blue Beam will be much more believable.
If he wants to make art then this is great...but if he's trying to sell the clothes then he kinda failed, because there are no focus on the models that are wearing the clothes. It feels kinda wrong in a way...it doesn't match.
Reminds me of the time I took 2c-i. Minus the shitty music they're playing.
I wonder how many of those models will be sterile. Too bad.
Now its fashion show or hollogram show, its toghether is not so god. I woulnt see the fashion show just the hollogram, and too much the light.

pure distraction

I think it technology would be great for some sort of Kamen Rider Stage Show.
Never did get the point of fashion shows.
That wouldn't be cool at all..
too much techno???, that´s not even techno music, i hate people that catalog every kind of electronic music as techno, it´s so tacky and so ignorant ...
There is nothing holographic about this
this was stupid. totally detracted from the clothes, and was a waste of time, resources and manpower.
this sucks
Interesting.
