On this occasion, we show you a bit of everything that the beautiful and joyful city of Tlaxcala has to offer.
The beautiful basilica of Our Lady of Ocotlán is the pinnacle of the Churrigueresque Baroque; in the historic center of the city, you can find the old Franciscan convent, now the Cathedral of the Assumption from the 16th century.
It was a great surprise to find a joyful "youthful Camada" (carnival group) from the neighborhood of Chiautempan, led by the young Queen of Carnival 2024, dancing through the streets.
In the Main Square (Plaza de la Constitución or "Zócalo" of Tlaxcala), live musicians were playing to cheer up the seniors who bring out their best steps to the rhythm of the lifelong danzón.
Finally, the unmissable view of the city offered by the Xicoténcatl viewpoint after climbing 236 steps (or 250 to go up to the top, if you still have the energy).
