Also, shout out to the new and improved alchemy system. I might be in the minority but I loved the first game’s alchemy system and this refinement is just *chef’s kiss*

What REALLY grinds my gears is seeing these losers with less than an hour in the game attempting to review bomb the steam page because they can’t handle player choices in an RPG. I’ve 3 hours in and JUST finished the prolog. People trying to “review” a game like this without making it through the tutorial is actually sad.

my only complaint is some of the voice actors, white female innkeepers talking like they have migrated from Kingston lol.. Yes i know the first game had some terrible voice actors too :D

I agree... so far the game's story is awesome. I just wish the UI was more simpler to not take you out of the wonderful immersion the developers worked so hard to achieve. The game looks great on the PS5 Pro. Red Dead Redemption 2 did a better job a simplifying things to keep you in the immersion. But I'm enjoying the story much more in this game. The acting is phenomenal! Still undecided about the combat, and I've heard horror stories about the lockpicking. Haven't tried that yet.

First part of the game had hardcore mode without any UI at all. Very immersive. Maybe this one will have hardcore mode in future also.

Not for me. And you can always turn on performance mode if you need that 60 frames on the Series X or PS5
@Renfail Yeah, I play on PC so I should be fine but I haven't purchased yet. It's just something I noticed.
did you try the lock picking yet, is it the same? because in the first one i spent days trying to do the tutorial chest to lock pick it... the controls were terrible on controller
6 hrs in and I fucking love this game so far...and that's going into it with a bad attitude about no 3rd person option, no dual wield option, and no pc re-keybind options. And yet, the game is fucking awesome.

You can't rebind keys in the game? Lots of options in the keybind menu with primary and secondary binding options. Maybe there is a specific keybind the game is missing that you want?
Do you recommend playing the first one, I'm in no rush to jump straight to the sequel and kinda of figured it might have a patch or two by the time I get round to it.

Hey Renfail. How much easier is the combat in this game ?. I really loved the first game but I only got so far due to the combat being so difficult 😊
The combat has never been difficult. What is difficult is training Henry. Once Henry gets good, your skill as a player can be factored in, and things become easy. But you gotta put in the time to get Henry GOOD before it gets easy :)
Found a master hunters set and crossbow just in the first area, just by going into the inns and stealing.

I really want to play this series, but unfortunately first person games are hard for me to get into without experiencing intense migraines. I bought the first one years ago but couldn't survive 30mins into it. I wish there was a remedy for that😢

So glad I bought the Pro for this game. The 60fps really helps with making the combat more enjoyable and responsive. Such a beautiful game!
You can play it on 60fps on the regular ol' PS5 as well.
Took me 3 hours to install on PS5. It's now too late to play it for long, but it's so good to finally play it. I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊

How come you choose to play ps5 instead of PC for full ultra graphics?
how come you care how I choose to play my own game that I paid for with my own money?
