You could just select every part and then select the HRP, then click weld in the model tab to weld every single one at once. Also the cylinders were making it hard to move because they have mass, so just turn on massless in the properties of the cylinders.
Guys i have an idea, imagine making the full world in viewportframe and inside insert a part with surfacegui and on this gui add another viewportframe with the real world inside it would look like a portal like the minecraft mod ??
Thats because they are hand-drawn. None of them were created using scripts or math.random, they are all pre-drawn by the developers and then shown as an ImageLabel in a ScreenGui.
just play battleground games, alot of them have impact frames. A universal time has some as well. Most popular fighting games that are related to any anime have them tbh. its become such a trend.
Why not use a client-sided highlight for the player character instead of replicating the player in a viewport frame ? Also, you could have unioned the line things to make it more compact and efficient. I know you aren't the builder, which we can clearly see, I'm just specifying things that could have been made way better and more optimized !

most notably the strongest battlegrounds (which a lot of awakening moves use impact frames)

You could try setting the parts as "Massless" which should fix the weird stutters it creates on the player character.
The reason your movement is weird when you weld the lines to your character is because you need to set the lines to Massless = true
