Ive officially found my dream car. 66 coyote swapped pro-touring mustang in red with black accenting. absolutely perfect. I will have a car like this, but with a little more power. life goals.
I have a mbm master cylinder, 11" rotors with a gm caliper. Not sure the brand of rotor though. EBay purchase. And then I bought some stainless lines on eBay. I didn't have the dough to fork out for the nicer systems. Maybe one day.
Cobrafanatik22 Billy, I don't think we will even be doing that much on the Shelby replica, these "name brand" systems are pricey. 11" rotors are pretty good size, I remember what a devil of a time the MC was giving you.
I did my black on black Restomod '66 protouring coupe stang back in '04 with a 331stroker(421hp) and 4" wider fender flares with Shelby Cobra wheels & Nitto 555 315's outback. It was 2,790lbs. with 10 gallons of E-85 in the 22gal cell. Almost Perfect at 50.1 to 49.9 weight ratio. It's a blast to drive. I'm glad I built it back then because all those parts are way more expensive now.
callofgeorge This one has a ton of very well engineered custom touches SEMA is a must, I am think it would be cool to get everyone together for a SEMA pow wow from RUclips in Vegas next year.
Thanks for subbing, yes I still have stickers. If you want to send me a self addressed stamped envelope I will mail you one. Send me an email info@mustangconnection.com
MustangConnection1 in my many family trips to the drag strip, the bullshit drops so to speak... my observation was the 4.6 mod motor mustangs were slow garbage... as were the new generation of hemi dodges. And the 04-06 gto.... but the new camaro in most trim with an ls and the 2012 and up mustangs kicked butt... na, supercharged.... whatever, they all seemed to run the same, with the only varyable being traction at that point....

+Jesse Munoz This is a fine car to aspire to own, that is for sure.
Same here bro...one day
Very nice. The red and black fit very well together. Very cool resto mod
Thanks Billy, They have some serious engineering talent that was poured into this build. What brakes are you running on your car again?

Sounds like a killer ride, the 65-6 cars are pretty light especially the coupes.
Great video and the bloke from Wilwood was good value too. Would love to visit Sema one day peace from Australia.
car is gorgeous.. very close to what i have planned for mine. wish i could have gone to SEMA.. i'll make it one year.

MustangConnection1 that would be one awesome meet. so far away though. i'd definitely try to make it. i've never been to vegas anyway.
Old video. But still have stickers?

I want to build a 66 coupe like this so badly! Nice car. Enough said!
Charles Reese This is a killer 66 for sure, you should build one!
I just want to know what the part number for the pedals are. Installation help would be appreciated too!!!
Seeing those master cylinders and pedal assembly are going to cost me money. Thanks Rich. hahahaha
Mike McCall Those are pretty trick right? Not sure but I doubt they are inexpensive, what the hell you are already going full tilt.
Pretty neat, those cayote motors are no joke.
Invincible Extremes I am a fan of the Coyote powerplants, thanks for checking it out.

Thanks for the video, very nice car!
SuperKONR It's nice to have an "engineering" department to mix up such a killer combo of parts.
What wheel configuration is used? Awesome stance!
He should've ask what brace member did he use for that engine
Cool car. Thanks for the video
Thanks Matt, I trust all is well in your neck of the woods :)
Oh yeah!

The Shade Tree Fix-it Man Thanks George!
About how much does it cost to build a 66 like this? It's beautiful!!
Troy Lozano Not sure because Wilwood did this one in house, do I am sure that they had a pretty big budget.
Troy Lozano 20 to 30k
Whats the front bumper off of? Thats not a stock 66 bumper
+Matt Sullivan There is no front bumper...that is a Shelby Cobra R style front apron that eliminates the front bumper
man thats nice
Fullthrottle440 It helps to have an "engineering" department to help with the build that is for sure.
What is this color called?
