- After seeing them live at the MIK festival in Paris and getting a first taste of their talents, I decided to get to know BTOB a bit more trough this helpful guide reaction! I was still not prepared for all this talent and chaos though lol thanks to all Melodys already for the support!

For a long time during the early days of their career, people call Eunkwang names and they criticize him for not standing out in the group when he was the leader. But through the years instead of giving up and be disheartened, he persevered, he stayed genuine and different, he trained to be the best singer and leader he can be, so here he is now, loved by everyone. Eunkwang always took responsibility of BTOB since debut till now. We are so blessed to have him 💙
and we still love Ilhoon too🥹💙

BTOB is known as the vocal/ballad kings of kpop..making beautiful & timeless songs and singing them live & with awesome harmonizations. Yes, most of the times they are underrated & unappreciated just bcoz they are not a dance-heavy group..but they really are legends when it comes to live stages. So glad that you have discovered them and reacted to a guide already. Yes, these guys are so talented and amazing on stage but behind the stage, they are just kids playing around, teasing each other..so loud and chaotic. Also they are one group that doesn't even care about idol image..never wanted to project perfection but rather shows what and how they truly are. Despite being almost 11 years in the industry, they have remained humble and sincere..always wanting to entertain the audience with their songs and humor and not one bit desperate on the song charts/ranks. Happy with whatever they have..grateful for everything they have accomplished..this group proved time and again that despite their age and different style..they can still do a lot and make amazing songs and attract people with their music. BTOB has come a looong way and it's never too late to stan them.
For suggestions, yes you should see the official music videos of their songs. Their mvs have great story lines and message. (Pls check out some mvs in 1theK channel for English subs) Do check out mvs of these ballads: MISSING YOU, BEAUTIFUL PAIN, REMEMBER THAT, IT'S OKAY, WAY BACK HOME, THE SONG. Then mvs of these upbeat ones: THRILLER, I'LL BE YOUR MAN, ONLY ONE FOR ME, MOVIE, SHOW YOUR LOVE and OUTSIDER. These are just for starters..they have a LOT of content..you won't even run out of content to react to. Then if you're through with mvs..live stages would be best coz that's what they are known for. Then funny vids. I'm so glad that you're reacting to them I've liked your video a lot..your recording of their I'll Be Your Man and I even saved it on my playlist. I know Toasted Phoenix too and have suggested some stuff to her too when she was starting with BTOB. Again, thank you for this..be waiting for your next BTOB reaction..

The reason they are just super special as an idol group is because they didn't really want to be idols. They came to Cube in a dream of becoming musicians, singers, producers etc. So Cube then put some of them in a band project but it didn't work out so they did acrobatics and debuted as an performance based idol group and switched in 2015 to ballads with *It's Okay* as a hit, you heard this song at MIK. (If you've watched WGM, that's the pre-released song Sungjae played to Joy and it's the title track to the album BTOB had a showcase to when Joy was an undercover-journalist😂 Fyi: yes, I've watched everything related to BTOB, including WGM, but I NEVER mention WGM (bc it's just a show after all, but people take it as much more and it annoys me) but when I got to know BTOB I loved that show. Since you mentioned Joy is your bias I thought I could share this lil fun-fact. Also, that BTOVelvet episode was super cute!).
Anyway... Changsub IS a "rebel", he was the most against being an idol so he left Cube as a trainee. Eunkwang and Hyunsik had to persuade him to get back, they wanted to make music together. He likes to do whatever he wants, and I highly respect him for it. If you listen to the latest album there's a song called My Way, produced by Hyunsik and it's about going your own way at your own pace and at Changsub's verse in particular, I feel like it's a tribute to that time when he run away and had to be chased by Eunkwang and Hyunsik.😂 When you listen to it you might understand what I mean.
Out of the songs you heard in MIK, Hyunsik produced 5: Only One For Me, Beautiful Pain, I'll Be Your Man, The song and Missing you, and Minhyuk produced: Dreamer. Minhyuk, Ilhoon and Peniel always write their own rap-verses. Looking forward to your journey with BTOB! Seems like you found a group that matches your preferences. Thanks for the reaction!💙

As you can see they are all very talented and down-to-earth idols, they're known as beagle idols but mostly as The Healing idols because of their meaningful lyrics.
I'm so jealous of all of who attended MIK because you witnessed the greatest Playlist performed live!!!
I'm so proud of these guys especially because I think Hyunsik and Minhyuk deserve more recognition as producers.
Out of the 8 songs BTOB performed, Hyunsik wrote and produced:
1-Only one for me
3-Beautiful pain
6-I'll be your man
7-The Song
8-Missing you
And Minhyuk wrote and produced 2-Dreamer
They have written and produced the majority of BTOB songs, with Ilhoon, we call this the producer's line.
Now that you experienced these 8 songs live, I'd suggest for you to react to the MVs, and it would be nice if you add a live stage with it, so you can have the full experience, one because BTOB always sing live (they can't lypsinc) they add few adlibs here and there, and since they're a bit crazy, every stage is different; the other reason so you can hear the fanchants which complements the songs very nicely;
Fun fact: Melody is considered as the 8th member, Minhyuk writes the fanchants in a way that is not merely screaming their names, they have harmonies, high notes, and even rap 😎, I suggest reacting to any of the fan chant guides too 😅, there are also videos were Hyunsik gives "feedback " about Melody's performance 😉 🤭

Can't believe you saw them live first before reacting to them. I was like that must be fate. I saw your fancam for MIK and i was like ' i think I've never seen this person reacting any BTOB video by judging your user name (i haven't check any of your content at that time). So sewing this reaction video was a blast for me especially on the way you commented Like whenever you talk about them as 'band'. And i was like wait til you see the nearest end. BTOB is really really a talented ppl in one group. A package. It's not in the Guide but tbh Eunkwang can rap so well. He had a cover of Be-why rap, we vall Eunkwang as aspired rapper and it's funny that Minhyuk said he asked him to stop rapping (offcam). actually although BTOB BLue is the vocal line, these 4 can actually rap decently. Changsub loves rock, last 2017 he was covering a song in rock n roll also like freestyle rap. And for Ilhoon, i am one of the Melody that is still rooting for him. I wanted to say more but I'll just say it here that Ilhoon is a softy loving son, brother, and a friend. Also a stray dog's saver. I only wish forever happiness, peace and healing for him.

Thank you for this reaction! Those kind hearted, well mannered, super talented and genuine men are so precious and dear to me, and I love seeing them get a recognition they deserve outside of SK too. A bit jealous of you seeing them vocal gods live, but am also super happy you get to experience it! Subscribed and liked right away, waiting for the upcoming BTOB reactions on your BTOB journey. One thing for sure, they are not gonna disappoint you. As for recommendations, I really hope to see you reacting to any of their songs (already see melodys with prepared lists for you lol), solo stuff (they are very diverse), variety stuff (btob three meals, anything with them, honestly, they are great at entertaining), live performances, and my personal wish to see you checking out BTOB BLUE's Stand By Me. I'm sooo envious you've seen them live. I haven't seen them in ages. Back then they were still 7. As a new reactor to BTOB I'm so excited for you to meet and know them more. I feel that I'll Be Your Man captured you during MIK so you can check that first. Cube's MV doesn't have subs but I think 1theK have. I think you would love their variety shows. I love Joy from Red Velvet and my bias is really Wendy. I've watched the show and the episodes we're BTOB were there are my favorite.

To answer the question about acapella songs: they mostly did covers and impromtu singing in waiting rooms lol but they do have 1 kinda acapella song called "Complete" and it works as an intro for their album with the same title. It's soooo awesome.

Oh damn I didn’t realise haha but I kinda knew Exo debuted around the same time, just thought it was a year later or so. Kinda crazy to think early 3rd gen groups are already 11 years old though. But take those second gen allegations as a compliment, cause that is still some of the best music I’ve heard in K-Pop!

Just cultural difference between western and Korea. I love ilhoon as one of the members of btob but..that is a crime in korea and especially that is one of the biggest social problems in here. So the people want to give those kinda people who r related to drugs more additional penalties. And actually that is not that light issue no more not only Korea
Alcohol is a drug too, causes addiction and lots of crime and violence but no one really cares about it because somehow we all decided that it’s legal and other things aren’t. It’s technically not legal to consume weed here either but as long as you’re not dealing with it yourself or are harming others with it I don’t consider it a crime. But you’re right that’s probably a cultural difference 🤷♂️
