I’m 36 and have LS/BXO on the glans. I got circumcised and now am using bio-oil twice a day and this is making a huge difference for me. Sharing this in case other men are watching this :)
I stopped using steroid ointments an Proptopic too! It caused more damage than good. I use coconut oil and I made an ointment of beeswax, coconutoil and olive oil. It works great. I also always had gut problems. They got better once I started taking probiotics. I use them for many years now. I have started with not eating dairy and gluten/carbs. Thank you for your story. It empowers me to keep searching.

I always sensed food was affiliated with LS flare-ups. Thank you so much for this video... In my case, I think sugar is my culprit and activates the itch...
I'm wondering if LS due to a FUNGAL infect. not autoimmune in which a doctor has cautioned me as well. Sugar feeds fungal infections! Same as sweetners, honey, alcohol. Staying away from sugar!
Sugar and stress is what inflames me. I have mostly gotten off sugar but every now and then I slip. Stress is a bit harder to stay away from. I have not tried allergy testing to find other causes or gone gluten-free yet but considering trying it.
Thank you for giving hope to all of us who suffer from LS. I am 68 and still have flareups on a daily basis. It is quite maddening. Thank you again for your information
You just gave me so much hope. The fact that you had a baby and didn’t tear… I’m literally in tears. I’ve been so depressed the last few years thinking there’s no way I can have a child because I’ll tear. I want to have a freebirth so badly. I’ve done so much research and not found anyone that’s had a vaginal birth with LS let alone not torn. You’ve given me hope that a freebirth may be possible. Thank you so much! I’m reading Ginny Chandoha’s book right now. I feel like things may finally be getting better. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your story 🙏 My doctor said that only steroid cream would help me. But coconut oil works well too. After reading a book on lichen sclerosis I started using olive oil as well. ( Lichen Sclerosis Beating the disease by Ginny Chandoha) I also stopped using toxic shampoo, detergent, soap and etc. I am trying not to eat dairy, gluten and sugar. I believe it’s working. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you 🙏
My dermatologist here in Australia said that lichen sclerosis seems to have a natural lifespan of around ten years, then it can disappear as suddenly as it appeared. Has anyone else been told this?
Ive had it for 24 years, but in the last few months ive been eating more protein, less carbs and a lot less sugar, the flare ups seem to be happening less often and im not using weekly steroid cream like I used to.
Many thanks, really interesting! I am happy you healed! We don't use astroid lotion, but cortisone lotion. To all the people that say doctor don't talk about food... they do. At least all mine different doctors did. And they also said that for MY body, I need SOME sugar, some salt, and some fat, too... Lemons are good for me, but not oranges. Hot olive oil is not good for me. Better cook with the special butter and use olive oil only cold. Every body is a little different, it is good to know that so that everyone can find the cure that suits that body.
Idk if I have this but I always had an itchy vagina. I suffered from frequent bv and I was always sensitive to Always pads as a 12 year old which caused sores and itchiness and my period blood make it worse. I just noticed in the last 5 months that the left side of my clitorios has lost most of it's color and I'm a brown person. I don't look down there much but today I noticed it got worse and I'm coming off my period and noticed today an open sore after wearing adult diapers. It seems to be linked to pads or my period but probably food as well as I have eczema and can't tolerate many foods even fruits. I don't even have sex and haven't for years and I'm a little older than you and have never heard of this illness until maybe 3 months but I haven't gone to the doctor. I'm just stressed.
Hi, I'm 52 and in peri and I've been dealing with this now for the last 2 years. However, my question is what pads did you switch to from always? I also get sores and irritated after using them. This LS and the change is making things worse.
@@lisasindelar2763I stopped using the steroid cream and used nothing at at all. I took zinc and cranberry supplements. It took about 8-10 weeks to heal. Much, much better now and I’m not using anything at all. I’ve just started taking magnesium supplements too. Hope this helps.
After 30 years I am relieved to listen and read the issues related to LS. 30 yrs ago, had an episode with vulvar cancer and treated post surgery with the steroid creams the itch was like chartruese on black outrageous. Fast forward after going GF, eliminating alcohol and processed sugars I am symptom free yet had surgery this year and LS did appear in the post-op report, do you have the skin condition for life?
Thank you for sharing 💗 I am not a Dr, and would imagine my opinion may differ from many health providers. I personally have come to believe the gene associated with LS can be activated or unactivated/ turned off, based on emotion or physical conditions such as trauma, stress or diet. I believe maintaining a healthy balance unique to each individual can ultimately turn LS off and remain unactivated. I hope that may be helpful 💗
Thanks for sharing. Can you elaborate on your condition? Did the original color of your skin come back and which body part was affected when you had LS? Blessings to you
I have celiac and eat no gluten. I still have it badly. Maybe do an elimination diet. I told one doc I thought it was worse when I had sugar, she shook her had and said it was probably my tight jeans.
See when you say that you only ate chicken and rice to begin with do you mean that’s what you had for 3 meals a day?? I would be interested in trying this but not sure if I could stomach that first thing in the morning
I healed my LS in 2019 WITHOUT changing my eating. I changed the inner causes and I'm free now and eat and drink what I want. I don't worry about the future. I know what the keys inside for a healthy body ❤
