An Approaching Storm: Time-Lapse Videography at Westcliffe, Colorado, Amazing Effects

I've always wanted to do a time-lapse video. This year we drove to the town of Westcliffe, Colorado and I set my camera up facing west toward the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Across the 5 mile wide green valley one could see the snow-capped mountains and the blue sky peppered with white, puffy clouds. But there was something building over the mountains. Slowly dark clouds started to develop. Then, off in the distance, streaks of rain became visible and more abundant. As the rain approached the wind became stronger and the temperature started to drop precipitously. Just before the rain hit I packed it in and rain to the car.

We are doing good. My knee feels a little stiff at times but it’s doing good. I hiked 5.67 miles on it Friday. Feels good. Thanks for asking.
