    INFORMATION IN ENGLISH
The history of money and debt can make us understand more of the economy, the power of the financial elite and how the world is governed today. This is the claim of economics professor Michael Hudson, who has also been an adviser to governments in the USA, Russia and China. Now he comes to Positiva Pengar to tell how history has been a struggle over who should benefit from the ownership, the money and the debts.
The Bible talks about jubilee years that recurred at certain intervals when all debts were written off. This was to correct imbalances that arise in economies over time. When economics professor Hudson in 1994 published his research that biblical debt relief dates back two thousand years to the Babylonian and Sumerian traditions, it was very controversial. Today it is recognized by Assyriologists, but among most economic thinkers the idea is taboo.
Why was debt write-off a matter of course several thousand years ago, but not today? Hudson's research shows that, as he writes, “Debts that can't be paid, won't be paid.” How then will it be resolved? Do you want to know more? Watch this webinar.

I wish people would understand the difference between capital and currency. Labor is capital. It is not a battle between labor and capital, it is a battle between capital in currency. Rich people have you believing that capital is currency. If a corporation wants to start a project, they call the bank to raise capital. Correct? If that corporation cannot get anyone to work on that project, all they have is currency. They have no capital. Professor Wolf says it all the time: Your brains your muscles. Capital - head or top, tally. He leaves out the tally part but describes how it should work. It is your brains your muscles your tally that does all the work. You, labor, are the capital.

By consulting with the CCP, Michael Hudson is in control of the US economy by proxy; it’s just that the sycophants to the oligarchy haven’t recognized that they’ve already lost hegemonic power. Economic dislocation of Western monetarism is already a fore-gone conclusion. The failure of the TTP & TTiP are a failed global corporate-sector coup d'etat. The privatization of the monetary supply through blockchain crypto is another attempt to recover global hegemonic power but the West is at least 10 years behind China in creating a sustainable monetary system. This is why the US was forced to bailout industry and banking with MMT dollar devaluation methodologies over the past 25 years. Neoliberal Austerity is not a tactical reorganization of the economy, it’s a strategic failure of the WTO and World Bank. The recent doubling of the US military budget in the past 2-3 years is simply a show of weakness, demonstrating to the Empire‘s host economies that it is willing to continue taking what other Nation-States may soon be unwilling to give: perpetual servitude to the parasitic oligarchs feeding off the corpse of an already defeated Empire.
I suggest that your children begin learning Chinese if you’d like an iota of a chance to avoid becoming chattel slaves while global governance iterates through processes of continuous revolution in an attempt to prevent the further social corruption and injustice imposed by a psychopathic Western Civil Order.
Economic Liberalism is just another form of Social Fascism in disguise. Now you know why Dr. Hudson is genuinely certain that he has few ideas for pragmatic reconstitution the legitimacy of the social contract through liberal economic reforms; it’s simply impossible. Social revolution is our only pathway to salvation, and you know it’s true because it’s the subject that is most taboo among Western peoples.
Fake news is just an attempt by the establishment to prevent widespread knowledge that we’ve been subjected to a fake civilization since the debt Jubilee-years were revoked.
The solution relates to a continuous non-violent social and economic revolution, which can lead to direct-democratic Socialism, then anti-authoritarian Communism, followed by egalitarian Prosocial Anarchy.
All attempts to reform our psychopathic forms of representative-government are accelerating an endogenous 6th extinction; the increasing percentage of GDP dependency on the FIRE sector should have been a clue… the militarization of the State control should make this clearly irreversible, while our narcissistic political class panics over the prospect of degrowth and Capitalism’s preeminent collapse.

@@grb1969 Thanks for this elegant summary of the miserable state of affairs humanity finds itself in. Seriously. At this point, one of the few lights I can find to shine on life during this period is that we can, if we choose, still make our remaining minutes meaningful. This is perhaps best expressed by the following quote:
“Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out. It is the ability to work for something because it is good, not because it stands a chance to succeed.” --Vaclav Havel, author, former dissident, and first president of the Czech Republic.

Thank you, that was amazing, as is the norm for Hudson's articulate and wide ranging understanding of like...everything basically.
One thing in particular was Plato's whole 'five regimes' thing, something I was always curious about, specifically why "democracy" was ordered directly before "tyranny", and largely unaware of Aristotle's contributions it seemed to me to be more of a hubris that tended to side with the notion of "philosopher king" ruling elites ("aristocracy" being at the top seemed to lend credence to this), but the recontextualization offered by Michael puts things in yet another new perspective in that they were describing a historical cycle of sorts rather than a linear ordered list (if I understand correctly that is). Gonna have to read some more I suppose, but yes thank you!

wIn Marxist philosophy, the bourgeoisie is the social class that came to own
the means of production during modern industrialization and whose societal
concerns are the value of property and the preservation of capital
to ensure the perpetuation of their economic supremacy in society.
      CAPITALISM IS NOT DEMOCRATIC
AND IT IS BROKEN ( crashes )
      you are labor, sorry
ARE YOU THE EMPLOYER OR THE EMPLOYEE
ARE YOU THE BOURGEOISIE OR LABOR
ARE YOU THE LORD OR A SERF
ARE YOU THE MASTER OR A SLAVE
Can you quit your job ? retire ?
No, then you are labor, make that a slave. LOL
      when can you retire ?
      $10B AT 3.65% = $1M PER DAY $365M PER YEAR ......... jef & bill
      $1B AT 3.65% = $100K PER DAY $36.5M PER YEAR
      $100M AT 3.65% = $10K PER DAY $3.65M PER YEAR
      $10M AT 3.65% = $1K PER DAY $365K PER YEAR
      $1M AT 3.65% = $100 PER DAY $36.5K PER YEAR ........ your dad
      $100K AT 3.65% = $10 PER DAY $3.65K PER YEAR ......... you
      What is wrong ? . . . well punk, . . . are you a slave ?
That's right the Capital brings the relationship of power, class division if
you understand it as so. Capital is not only that described by prof. Wolff
but also political power that is needed to maintain it, the superstructure.
So for example, in 2008 the Gov. could have instead of giving the billions
bailout "almost free money" to the financial system, actually financed(bought)
part of the debt of the people who bought the houses or whatever. Even if
the price was too high, the effect would be exactly the same(maybe better
for the bubble) for the economy except that the power would go to save the
people and no the rich capitalists who made a lot on the financial system.
The money would come exactly from the same place, but without people
have lose their homes, etc. Unfortunately, that is not possible because who
owns the Gov. are the Capitalists and Banks and that would reduce their
relative power. Capital is power,as much any previous class system we had.
The only difference is that the previous systems used a form of violent
dominance over the lower class, while
Capitalists uses their Capital and power to create their ideology, including
that fake story that says everyone can be rich is just a matter
of hard working or good entrepreneurship.
got your rice and beans ?

Fed Res is a cabal of private banksters; with the privitized priviledge to create money in the USA. To create oligarchy, privitize commons, specially the money creation. It's the King Kong of all privitization. After 100 years of it, you will be in a full swing oligarchy, with a fascist army, armmed to the teeth, and with a chip on their shoulders. What can go wrong here? Hitler would be amazed... what, no real army? Just austerity and threats of pandemic?

The only difference is that the previous systems used a form of violent
dominance over the lower class, while
Capitalists uses their Capital and power to create their ideology, including
that fake story that says everyone can be rich is just a matter
of hard working or good entrepreneurship.

no, the oligarchy wants to divide and concour....they want control of the state. libratarians are required to persuade everyone to participate in everything based on evidence. it is because the jami diamond's, elon musk rats, fords', rokefelas, cocacolas', boeings' and all other corporations manipulate thinking that instead all people's should realise themselves that all and every citizen is required to participate; based on their own personal research and understanding of the evidence, when that happens then they each, are able to speak and interject to progress, with purpose, the fete of humanity. right now most are entertainment and short distractions oriented! 😶☹️.....people are too dumbed down to be interested in the future of their great grand children, their meaningless distractions and dumbed down holidays are more important! ...lockdowns were proven useless but not many reject those same "folks" (barry seitero -obama- said some "folks" lost their lives due to his drone strikes) regardless of how wrong mr rachel levine and the rest of the governence degenerates are/where that their decisions lead to thousands of still births and baby also human deaths. the lack of interllect and indolence is the root cause of these continuing deaths! 😶....citizenry is doctrinaire and imbicils.

Erroneous to blame Obama personally. He is a lawyer and community organizer. No matter what profession, the President from either party would know the history and reality that Michael Hudson tells. Even if the President were an economist, he would not understand. To educate politicians it must be pointed out that the present system distorts economic reality to their perspective. Democratic candidates might be more willing to learn, but they can't be thrown under the bus in this way. No other economist has Michael Hudson's perspective. If all the teachers are wrong; self-serving in believing what they've been taught, then they are the ones to throw under the bus. Politicians will follow the lead of their constituencies. Build that.

G7 nations apparently do not possess the intelligence and intellectual capacity to realize that time and tide wait for no man. Good luck trying to freeze time and stem the tide of history! 😂
Changes in the international order had little to do with the actions and policies of any single nation alone. Changes occur all the time, whether you like it or not, irregardless of what the preeminent superpower of the day may think! 😎👌
Savvy policymakers should have the wisdom to facilitate a peaceful transition of geopolitics, instead of running the fools’ errand to forcibly preserve what cannot be preserved. 🙄🤦🤷 Heed this advice, or cataclysmic disasters of epic proportions shall befall all stubborn nations that defy the will of God, or the laws of nature if you like, in the foreseeable future!
Maybe some world leaders need to return to the classrooms for real history lessons, even though according to Hegel, nations never learnt from history.

I thought Hudson was a insightful genius until he began touting the BRI with rose colored glasses motivated by the goodwill of the CCP. The Bank of China props up unprofitable SOEs out fo fear that an economic setback might call into question the single party rule of the CCP, not out of beneficence for workers. All policies are laid down and enforced to serve the singular rule of the party. He doesn't seem bothered by the lack of democratic controls and inputs in the PRC, expressing admiration for authoritarian fiscal policies in the case of the PRC while he wants democratic controls to counter the plutocrats in other countries

While true, I think he's thinking big picture geopolitical counter-hegemonic forces. We're all in glass houses here in other words and when every other institution on the planet is throwing boulders and only in one direction it seems reasonable to not help that effort when the outcomes are barely different.
Maybe a less rhetorically-heavy way to put it would be that despite our supposed democratic inputs, capitalism's inherent class power disparity ensures the same authoritarian rule just with a more obfuscated/mystified public-facing state structure ('inverted totalitarianism' as Sheldon Wolin put it).

Hudson promotes a Jubilee of exponential financial interest as a "reset" of the economy - as was done in ancient times. So he realizes that China can just erase their financial debts since China creates their own currency interest free. Hudson is the best on exposing the problem of the PetroDollar as the inefficiency of a military empire based on hiding the inefficiencies through the monopoly of the US financial regime. So Hudson realizes that the BRIC, etc. are trying to move off the US dollar for debt financing and oil loans. So this requires China growing its own middle class internally so that it's not dependent on exporting back to the U.S. (and therefore having a glut of U.S. dollars to buy US treasury as debt). The problem with the US military petrodollar is that it also has caused "biological annihilation" along with the Westernization of the rest of the world - China included. Abrupt Global Warming will now accelerate in damage as fast as any financial debt. We have about five years left of life on Earth - that is what is so amazing about exponential math that is really from Plato and Archytas as the inverse of the logarithmic (democracy) math. "The Mathematics of compound interest" - as Hudson calls it. YES but all our science is also based on the same logarithmic/exponential math requiring technological "growth" as well.

"We're not going to permit interest on debts but we will permit foreign exchange banks to do foreign exchange trading. so they can send money to the kings and nobility that are on the crusades - to outfit themselves, to buy food, they can lend against the land. So all of a sudden you have the Main Borrowers were not the poor peasants losing the land, they were the Rich Nobles. And the people they were borrowing from weren't civilian creditors, they were the Church - the main church orders themselves: The Knights Templar and also the Hospitallers. ... The poor could only borrow from the Jews...they couldn't borrow from the Christians. Only the rich people could borrow from the Christian bankers. You would have kings borrowing to go to war. You have to borrow because all wars are fought with foreign exchange because you want to fight the war on foreign soil.... So Silver and to a lesser extent Gold was the form of money."
