Design of circuit is taken by VHF TV signal booster. But they were multi transistor stages. High gain. This circuit can also be design multi transistor stages for fringe area.
I think, BF 200, C5570 or 2N 918 transistor can good work in FM frequency range.

Normally higher frequncies glassepoxy is preferablle withproper shielding between input and out put stages to prevent self oscilation

You can try manhattan style wiring, or make it on a general purpose dot pcb. It's a simple circuit, try any simple wiring methods you'rs comfortable with.
