I've only had an overheating issue one. When using it outside in the heat you almost have to let the weather warm the camera up. What I mean by that is if it's a very very hot day don't take the camera from an air conditioning environment straight to the heat and start shooting. Give the camera a good 10min to warm up to the current temperature before turning the camera on. This has work for me. There's a video on RUclips with a guy talking about this. He has three different tests the third test is similar to what I'm telling you to do.
@@uniquevision6929 thank you will check....recently purchase and using the r8. did an event and the temperature gage started to raise and I was concerned.

@@ace_pxl you should be good. It will rise but it should be stay pretty steady once it goes up especially if you're only shooting 4k at 24fps
