AngrierGorilla Well the first 2 verses are about being left behind. The first is a guy to heavy with sin, so he can't go up to heaven. The second is about the soul left behind after its machine is buried. And the last verse I'm thinking is disagreeing with the notion that you only live once. When you step out of the stream, you get sand on your feet, so you have to step back into the stream to clean them off. If you live once, whatever sin or transgressions you've made will force your soul to live again and make them right. Make sure you wear boots next time! Lol
