This is the perfect strategy against narcissists. They suck your energy if you let them. Forgetting about them and preserving your energy is brilliant.
Oh my goodness. Your words are what I was raised with and then lived with. An abuser (narcissist) who demanded I forgive his behaviour so he could do it again! My childhood of put others first, forgive them, turn the other cheek etc sure explains it all. I’m learning forget him, not forgive him. I can’t find forgiveness for 33 years of soul destroying behaviour. Thank you for this! ❤
Erm excuse me are you suggesting I should let go of all my grudges? Jamais!! 😆 Just kidding!! Another excellent and thought-provoking video Chris, am enjoying it while having my coffee. ☺
@ Based solely on the title, I made an erroneous assumption. I presumed that the inclusion of the word “Forgiveness” would imply a connection to “Gratitude.” However, it appears that my interpretation was incorrect. If you decide to incorporate “Gratitude” or “hope” into future videos, they could indeed serve as potential valuable topics.
One never forgets, that’s not possible. Forgiveness releases you from the prison of resentment, rage and bitterness. It does not relieve the abuser of responsibility. Forgiveness does not expect nor imply reconciliation. You could not be more wrong.
That is a valid concern. If it comes from a place of resistance and avoidance then it's definitely more negativity. The video that I published today addresses precisely this question. You have to first be sure that you are not wrong yourself. This requires some objectivity.
Do you believe that the solution to resentment is forgiveness?

Thank you 🤗

Coffee and music 😂 I love that song btw 👍🫶
I think this may also be a video on the concept of gratitude, I haven’t finished it yet. That’s even more impressive if it is.
Why do you think it’s about gratitude?

@@stewpew7354 Thank you, I do plan on making a video about gratitude soon 👍
The point of forgiveness is to create indifference so the person who wronged you no longer has power over you.
☺️🤍✨
Enjoy the weekend Michelle 💟

Wouldn’t that be more negativity? Cutting someone out seems like cutting away a part of yourself you can’t face.

but diffcult to implement
It takes a little practice but the more you do it the more you get used to putting yourself first.
