I’ve always felt embarrassed when people sing happy birthday and I know it’s silly but I do. I mean this solidifies this fear, one time our waiter put a coffee filter on my head and I was at that age when you’re an angsty teenager and are embarrassed of everything and everyone with you.

No one wants to sing to guests and often your coworkers will guilt trip you into it in the kitchen
I used to work at an Applebee’s and mine didn’t even sing to guests unless somebody knew them and could peer pressure others into singing in the kitchen 😂 That being said, I worked there for 2 years and didn’t get the chance to sing even once
They refused to sing to me on my birthday because I had not been an Applebee's member for over a year. They had already sang to someone else literally 10 minutes before and the guy was a booth ahead of me.
So real talk, I've been EXTREMELY depressed lately, and a lot of it stems from social media like Snapchat and Instagram. I wanted to say that you guys and your videos genuinely make me so happy. Your videos make me forget about my depression and worries, even if it's only for a 'lil bit. Thank you for your content. It never fails to brighten my day!

As a former restaurant employee, I’m fairly certain you got treated extra special at Olive Garden cause half the place recognized you.
Not really, went there just last night and got the same treatment. My cousin got to choose her own desert, and everybody came out to sing.
Edit: p.s. when you order online, and u put in the special instructions it's for a birthday, they'll even include candles along with the free desert. I did it for my grandma, who doesn't like to leave her home now that she has memory problems and freaks out. So it was nice that we could still have that olive garden tradition in our home.
