>Remember how awesome the Tetris The GrandMaster runs were in AGDQ a couple years back >Decide to look up a TAS >It looks identical to the players back in AGDQ >Except it's less impressive now because it's a TAS
Deialekt El'Pe I was refering to the "it looks identical to the players back in AGDQ" part. this is not what a human playing death looks like.not even remotely reminiscent.
The TGM series is horrid for TASing, since the series focuses on having to meet a skill requirement rather than having no skill cap. See Tetris DS TASes to see some ludicrous tetris gameplay.
Every line clear needs to be a tetris, really. The line clear animation last the same number of frames no matter how many lines are cleared, so anything less than a tetris is wasting frames.
yeah, except for the fact that line clear animation is 12 frames for the first section of death, then 6 from lv 100 onwards. 1/6th of a second for the first 100 levels and 1/10th after. clearing a double at the level stop wastes less time than waiting to get an I
+monterrang1 Late reply but yes many people have beaten death mode. Just way slower (The world record is around 1.5x this time.) I still find it insanely hard to manage as despite casually playing the game for nearly a year I still have yet to reach level 400.
@@shirohimayumikira234 Context is extremely important. 999 999 Could mean a score of 999,999 or a level of 999/999. I was presuming level as literally nobody in the TGM scene cares about score. In Death the only counters that matter would be how far you get into the game and how quickly you can do it. Also reminder you're replying to a comment made over 5 years ago.
A very very good TAS, now that I look at it again. Making this many tetrises in a row is hard, even in a TAS!

this is almost 2 minutes faster than the WR
Kai Yeah, but it doesn't feel this impressive(although it is) because you know this is no Human in realtime doing this but someone habing tools

@@AmnesiaGm1 That's impressive!
ものすごい速さで、2分50秒切った!!
final move should be a bravo!
Sounds like the Wizard of Oz Coin pusher shooting the coins to the tray
クリアタイムを、あと1秒は縮められるかな?
Please do a TAS on TI to make a MM out of account (5 grades in fading roll)

kinda wonder if any improvements can be done near the end since so many blocks are remaining..
Yes there's heaps. I'm working on a new version now. I've already saved 2 seconds in just the 0-100 section.
Ivan Neeson How advanced are you already with your TAS?
Deialekt El'Pe
Not as far as I would like unfortunately work got in the way :(.
