it is sad the when a female abuses a male everyone laughs and calls the male weak but GOD FORBID we so much as grab them even if it is to save the children.
Reminds me of something I read when I had to do research on something an looked up something involving assault which lead to a part where men due to social normals are looked down apon if they rep or assault or "assault" with an R and people will say just tuff it out or didn't it feel good or some b.s. like that. It's rare the latter but not an impossibility.
Last one wouldn't have flown where I worked, I have to admit to no small amount of Schadenfreude at the Shocked Pikachu face we got EVERY TIME We Arrested the Female party for Domestic Violence. We had one, She was 5' nothing 95lb soaking wet, the BF was 6', 250. She answered the door all teary-eyed, talking about how she had been "Assaulted. Looked at the guy, he had REALLY Obvious Defensive Wounds on his arms, and deep, actively bleeding scratches on his face and neck. Asked him what happened, he said she'd gone off on him and started swinging, the ONLY thing he did was push her away. Cue Shocked Pikachu when I asked HIM if he wanted the Restraining Order, and signaled my partner to Cuff HER. She ended up with DV Assault (Aggravated), Agg Assault on Police Officers (4 Counts, She kicked my partner, tried to Head-butt me, and got my shoulder, Kicked and Bit the Female Officer who had to Search Her, and assaulted me a second time when I went to do her fingerprints) Damage to Property, She managed to claw up the back seat of the Car, and Kick the Window out of Alignment. She tried to play the shy, meek Victim of the Patriarchy when it went to Court, until we pulled out Photos of the Injuries to the BF, Video of her kicking, screaming and Spitting in the Garage, and nice Clear footage of her attacking the Female Officer. Talk about flipping a Switch, took 3 Bailiffs to get her cuffed after she went off and started screaming threats at Us, the Judge, the Prosecutor, and her own Attorney.
I can only imagine. It's just that we hear so many stories about men abusing women that there is still some shock when it's the opposite... and that the Dad is the better parent overall (like this story) that it is still somewhat surprising to hear. At least the courts now are accepting that this happens and women get their just desserts too...
Good on you for not buying the baloney. If you could train other cops to be savvy, objective and reasonable that would go a long way to restoring public faith in LEOs.
8:50 Domestic violence against men is often completely laughed off, even in America. I think most countries, not just America have bias against men in divorce proceedings. In the US a supreme court judge in the 30's made a bunch of rules and laws that basically just assumed the man to be at fault in any domestic hearing, no innocent until proven guilty. Such laws have started to be repealed in recent years but there are still places where its almost impossible for a man to get fair representation in such cases. There is a divorce lawyer that got a bit famous for defending men that the court system would not help. She did a little talk about all this a few years ago. My grandmother knew a guy who divorced his wife because she cheated on him. He was made to pay child support for the resulting kid for 18 years despite proving the kid wasn't his with a DNA test. The DNA test results were thrown out because it was done in another state, but when he asked for a new test in the same state, they said, 'no, you already did one.' He fought it for all 18 years to no avail.
That "Supreme Court Judge" was actually 2-3 women about 30-45 years ago who created the "Duluth Model," which many a states domestic violence laws are based off of. Essentially, it decries that the man in the situation is ALWAYS the aggressor, ignoring any and all nuance. You could have a 6'3" Amazonian with bruised knuckles and a 5'4" twig of a man with a broken nose, jaw, 3 broken ribs, and is bleeding from every facial orifice and the MAN will go to jail for the night for "Domestic Violence." I'm not even joking, it's that ingrained and skewed.
Glad OP won in the last story, but wtf made her go psycho? Aside from living like a celebrity/princess it sounded like she had everything most single people wish they could have and then decides to throw it all away for what? I have a family friend that had to fight for 2 long and difficult years to get his child back. Eventually he did, but there were still child support workers who thought a lying alcoholic mother should keep her child, even when the child told them they hated her and wanted to live with daddy.

Inlaws sending payment for Netflix? Why aren't they just buying it themselves? I'd have checked with Netflix on this, just to be safe, because not doing so, can get your account permanently banned, if your caught giving access to another who has been Perma banned as well. For example, one of my neighbors were banned for a year from Hulu, which got lifted after a month. When a service bans you, the only way around it is to either get expensive software, or buy new WiFi cards to change out the Mac address, as this is what actually gets banned. My neighbors son had opened a free account, and ripped some shows, putting them on torrent sites, a very big no no. What their son did not know, was when he copies or watches shows, the recording is inbeded with the users account ID, which when he uploaded these shows, they quickly banned the kids account. Since no copyright warning was sent to the parents by the provider, they had no clue. His parents evidently opened their own account, and all was fine till they added their sons email, which in moments, got their account banned as well, and it took a lot to get that ban removed.
They were most likely sending money to the wife simply because its far cheaper to buy one subscription and share it among family than it is to subscribe on your own.
Domestic violence knows no gender. I am the victim of domestic abuse from my ex-fiance (he raped me repeatedly for years). My brother is the victim of domestic abuse from his now (hopefully if the paperwork finally went through) ex-wife. I knew it was bad for him and had tried to help where I could but I didn't know just HOW bad it had gotten. Like this bitch literally beat him with a giant bag of ice in front of witnesses while also verbally abusing him just because he didn't move fast enough for what she wanted. She tried to isolate him from his family and friends. She literally stole his paychecks and spent all of them within a few days and then would abuse him for not making more money (still no idea what she was spending it on). She had a warrant out for her arrest for a drug charge in California (they were living in the Midwest during the abuse) from before they met. I hope her son's dad gets custody of kiddo and he gets the therapy he needs. I hope my brother will go into therapy but he is under the impression it is for the weak and crazy thanks to our grandmother who is a whole other cow of insanity (anti-vaxx, racist, homophobic etc. -- note, I came out as trans and gay a year or two ago and before all this this woman literally looked me in the face and said people like me, even though she didn't know at the time, should be shot if that tells you what this woman is like). I wish people believed victims. My brother is at least being believed and I am grateful for that. My rapist is still walking free and no one believes me that knows him except for a small handful. I now have PTSD because of him and will literally have flashbacks and feel like I'm suffocating (physical manifestation of anxiety related to PTSD).

That woman earned the nick name "Tabby".

@@suzyelliot5886 That is a non answer
So she can call you out for not doing what you did do, embarrassing you in the process. But you can't send clarification that you DID do the work without getting in trouble because she was embarrassed?!?
