I held it together until Bethan and Colin showed up, then someone decided to chop a whole lot of onions in my house.
I didn't think I was gonna cry until that bit! Husky cooked really hard on this one!
I was bawling my eyes out when they appeared. I had to sort myself out quick because I had a meeting at work a few minutes later and I could have never have explained myself to them 😅

Indeed. At first I couldn't believe that they managed to find time to participate, then couldn't get enough. Very happy to see and hear them. I was literally playing the DLC and just had a talk with both in party and suddenly bam! There they are, in a music collab video, singing with all the rest.
The male opera singer is MarcoMeatball. He's a former opera singer that now does YT reviewing video game music. You should check him out!
I'm familiar with Marco but the other guy that was singing with him I'm not familiar with, but the two of them nailed it.
@@scotty110 Paolo Andrea di Pietro! He's an Italian singer (and I think also classically trained in opera), currently lives in Japan, and provided vocals for some tracks in FF7R Intergrade and FF7 Rebirth, as well as the Italian and French vocals for Draco in the opera in FFVI Pixel Remaster.
Dude also sang for the Live Performance version of Scaramouche's theme from Genshin Impact.

This is yet another example of what makes FFXIV's community one-of-a-kind. In all my years playing MMOs, and all that ive played, the only community to come close is FF11.
It was such fun to see all the fans coming together and all the work Husky put in to make all of us shine

When Colin and Bethan showed up, I couldn’t believe it! Someone was cutting onions in my kitchen and I was in absolute tears! 🥹🥹🥹 Also damn they have great singing voices! Can Soken get them to sing something in the next expansion after Dawntrail? Or maybe in the Dawntrail patch series?

The make opera singer you were hearing is likely Marco Meatball. You should check him out, I found him through Grinding Gear and he evaluates gaming music from the point of view of a professional opera singer. He's a sweetheart!❤
